No doubt countless times, her caste used to try 'reasoning' with Shinjin and Ogre. Far too many times, their 'design' trumped any sense they had. Nasu was quick to catch this, despite disagreeing with her in the immediate. Tsuya watched as Nasu reintroduced himself. Full of vigor and will for his own path, it made her jealous. Her conviction was tempered with expectations, ones she had to account for. Clearly, she miscalculated with this battle here. But she would continue for a little while longer.
"You are right. They have their design. This show is hardly for their eyes, as I've said. This is a reminder to the living, the ones whose livelihoods are affected by this damning design."
She retorted on her way to standing upright on her sword again. "Far too many are willing to kneel to the divine, to prostrate directly to those who meddle in our worlds. 'Let Them do as they must, They know what is best'. Ramblings of the sheep They see beneath them. We will not be controlled." Her comrades, long having faded in memory, live on only in the creeds she remembers. There was no one currently living she had strong ties to. Even her progeny, the dear child she exchanged bodies with, doesn't understand the scope of what needed to be done. The last time she let herself be open was thousands of years ago.
Threats of blowing up a planet weren't on her docket. She didn't figure Lottus had it in him to attempt, but something in the two saiyan's conversation when they split off lead him down this road. No doubt, this warning would anger more than the defenders of this city. She had to remain focused. With her jab failing, she'd pull the sword back and keep it held outwards at the now-approaching mass of fury and armor. Being declared an enemy was hardly new, they were both really swinging at each other already. But something about the absolute behind his leap was a little intimidating. He hung in the air, staring her down. Rather than send a simple strike down at her, that furious dirty flame of energy crawled along the blade and ate at the air between the two, traveling at the lady sword saint.
"Tch-"
Tsuya leaned backward, flipping off the black blade she stood, and in the same motion kick at the guard with a foot. Sending it flying up and into her reach to catch in an open hand once she stood back up on the floor of the rooftop. Propping both blades up and covering them with those god-slaying flames once again. She was doing a lot more defending herself than attacking, more than she liked. Her strength was still not up to grips with the likes of these Super Saiyans. Had she met some in her own time, she wouldn't have forgotten, so clearly something made them atinge special.
As flame clashed with flame, the woman started feeling her grip on the blades fail. Her feet pushed back from the blast. As it washed over her, more of her burned away. Giving her nice burns along her arms and over her exposed face. Some caught onto her hair, which soon ignited. As it passed, Tsuy'a right-hand grip on the white blade forces it to fly back and clatter to the ground, leaving a half-backed defense she couldn't cut the attack down with. As both techniques fade, the white and black flames are the first to recede. A knee buckles slightly in place as she pulls her now free hand over her hair to put out any said fires caught.
"Clearly... You know how to deal with your monsters."
A strained breath, one she hadn't felt in a while, escapes her as the stresses of her body become more apparent. Unable to keep her composure as she usually did. Yet, a faint little smile cracked through. Those green eyes narrowed but nonetheless impressed with the second blow she was forced to take. Most of that energy was this Nasu's own. Another feeling of jealousy washed over her as she watched the warrior carefully, taking her time to step back towards her fallen sword. "I'm impressed, Mister Drakenblood. So determined, even with all that burden. Perhaps this age will come to surpass my own. We might gain our wings just yet." If allowed, she'd bend down to retrieve her fallen white blade and hold it for a moment. Pristine, even after that, she'd tuck it back into its sheath. Leaving Usumidori firm in her left grasp.
"I promised I'd help him, not die for him. You can have your city, your planet, deal with Lottus as you please. He understood the price he'd pay."
With a very fluid motion, the woman would slide her empty hand on the back of Usumidori, coating it in red energy before it cut a cross-shape hole in the air. Revealing a very familiar grey portal not unlike the ones she opens up normally. She'd slice this portal open at her side, watching the Saiyan intently.
"Maybe next time we meet, it won't be us going through one another with our blades. If there is a next time."
She'd step on through, suddenly vanishing from sight. She'd take herself elsewhere, having opened up enough of a scene to give Lottus a fighting chance and taking a lot of the attention off him at the start. It was time to... Readjust options while resting. Depending on how this whole thing blew over with Lottus later.
