Conquest AT - Night Skies on Planet Namek

While Nero had given Nasu such a task, he did not even know if the Elder was fit to remain here. He needed to get out as soon as possible in his opinion. But he figured he could at least try and keep a mind for whatever they would be doing, it was not that difficult.

But neither would suffer the same fate as the poor Namekian. He came to fight with them despite the clear gap in power. A brave warrior of course, and yet what was bravery repaid with if not with death. A part of the warrior was angry of course that such fate had to come upon one who could not even defend himself against an attack like that. Perhaps a sense of chivalry yet echoed in his mind after all these years.

"Hold it right there."

A voice called out to him soon enough. One that he could recognize easily for it came from deep within unlike anyone else. Even if one was to send him a telepathic message, it was not the same thing. That one sound could only come from a corner of his body.

He did not need to say much. He knew what the Fallen Knight would think: what? Or why was he even intervening at such a crucial moment? That was some terrific timing.

"I may have been born not a year ago, and yet I would know your intent like the back of my hand."

So he knew he was going to throw himself in the brawl. What about it? What did he think? That he would not intervene because he did not want him to help his allies, was this what was truly going on? The entire conversation did not need to span much longer before Nasu would just grow impatient enough to just dismiss it altogether. He did not need to waste any time.

But before the Saiyan could take the smallest hint of a step, he was lit in a thousand flames. A pitch black fire, born of the a darkness deeper than the night shade. Yet even amidst such power, he did not falter. Because it was not hurting him. Rather, it engulfed him in its power. Nasu was confused, at first. Was the demon not meant to be locked up? How did he just do anything at all?

The answer was not obvious and yet Nasu kind of knew.

"A boon, if you fancy. Do not get any strange idea out of this. This is not a favor or an apology. I am not getting a body anytime soon so I may as well join the fun in one way or another."

An otherworldly entity had other reasons of course, but the mortal needed not to know any of them.

The man knew, that his mind had to have let this pass because there was no maliciousness behind this. He had truly been gifted a short and brief piece of his own power. The very Great Ape entity that towered him began to transform; enthralled by the tendrils of darkness, it grew a couple of spans larger and taller, its body yet made tougher by a dark shell. Its very head slowly mutated into something of a monster; another layer created itself around the head, forming the shape of a colossal, dark dragon.

"Let's give this a shot, then."

It celebrated its birth with a roar, one that called from the very depths of hell and that could possibly be felt beyond just a couple of regions.

"Do not try anything new. This can not make you walk inside shadows or anything like that."

Well, that was good to know. But Nasu did what he knew best; he launched himself off the ground, and from up in the air, the very beast that towered the Saiyan launched its endless assault on Kamae. Rosemary's words could yet echo in his mind. He would not deny his fists their purpose any longer.

“I hope so too.” Nero’s brow furrowed as he listened to the chaos of the scene, with a quick look to Zhalla; his expression was somewhat mixed, as though he was trying to figure something out while having the answer already.

Then, for a moment, Nero’s concentration was torn from what he was thinking and put more towards the ensuing trades of blows among the fighters present; it wasn’t the presence of a sound or the words traded at first— rather, the lack of something. The lack of Tabor. The Namekian’s energy, voice, heartbeat... All of that was gone. Nero’s pace slowed to a stop and out of the din of noise that he could still track with his hearing, one voice with emotion so raw seemed to pierce through it all as the loudest in more than one way.

It was Ollo. The way the young man simply flew off the handle like a dripping sink tap exploding with a rush of water in the blink of an eye. In that moment, Nero saw more than what was in front of him. Nero’s mind was drawn back two decades, and he saw himself in Ollo’s place; and the scene where he unleashed his full power on those that exiled his parents and close family members back when he was only 3 years old on Plant. When Ollo spoke, Nero also in some way heard himself too, he said much the same sort of thing in that moment.

What felt like an eternity in Nero’s head was less than the smallest moment in reality as he kicked into gear himself as well. Nero needed the strength to fight in another way. Tabor wouldn’t want that vile tree to go unchecked, there was more to this conflict than fists flying. Nero had to take the chance he was given and make a hard choice while others were occupied by battle. In a sense, Mollau’s silent prayer had, in some way, indirectly or otherwise, reached exactly who he wanted it to reach.

After a swift wave of his hands, Nero projected his will outwards. Using his telekinesis he brought Tabor’s bardiche over to his side with one hand and telekinetically gripped onto the boulder that was squashing Saiba-Ban; grinding it into dust. If the Saibaman happened to look Nero’s way; he would be able to see his face— a stern expression given the situation, but not one of a man looking down on someone. “Get it together already! Do I really have to spell it out for you?!” Nero called out to Saiba-Ban. “That self-centered bastard up there doesn’t give a single solitary shit about you and you know it. He’ll do to you what he did to Tabor in less than a heartbeat— that is why we oppose him; because someone has to. If what I want to do is what I have to do, then that’s all the more reason to do it.”

There was nothing more for him to say, so Nero was on the move once more, he rejoined Zhalla and made a beeline for the base of the tree. Upon arrival, Nero wasted no time and gathered more and more of his mystical powers— he conjured replicas of himself to surround the tree, all of which projected a pair of extra ethereal arms alongside him.

With a mighty chorus of a roar, Nero and all his mystical replicas drove their hands into the ground, channelling every ounce of that purifying energy that they collectively possessed into Namek itself— their aim was to completely uproot the tree itself by essentially chasing it out of the planet— but he had a hunch beyond that; that the tree wasn’t just a tree anymore, and someone seemingly lost to its depths could also be restored, but he would have to wait and see on that...
