It didn’t matter how fast she tried to be, there was always another piece of debris that sped past her efforts, mocking in its free fall from the crumbling replica held in place by the figure that floated high above the city of Hatchi. He floated there in the sky above the battlefield as if nothing bothered him, the slight twitch of a hand here and there the only indication that he wasn’t some kind of statue or projection. Jagaimo had never seen him before but power rolled off him like a wave, dwarfing even what she had felt with the appearance of power at the far end of the city. Whoever he was, this was likely the strongest being on Plant right now…likely even the universe…despite how vast a place it might be…
The young warrior shook her head and crashed through another piece of falling masonry, turning it to powder, in an effort to stop it falling onto anyone below that hadn’t evacuated in the initial wave of those taken to safety. There were just too many to be everywhere at once…and then the blue matrix of energy appeared and enveloped everything that fell from the sky, catching the falling meteors like a fisherman pulling in his net, keeping them there at bay in the skyline. With the missiles stalled the young Saiyan was about to streak off towards the newcomer and his floating city when a voice called out to her, Amara hanging in the air just below her, eyes fixed on the target ahead of them even as her strange technique wrapped everything up in that azure netting of hers.
“I can help here, you might need me!”
Her words carried a strange tone with them, something Jagaimo hadn’t heard before…the tone of command. Regardless of the young fighter's feelings towards the woman there was an undeniable truth…she was the Saiyan Queen…and her orders broached no comeback from the younger soldier. Her fists clenched as the thought of disobeying ran through her mind, biting back any other words she had for the blue armoured lady and pushing down the need to overcome that rose whenever a challenge was presented. She was being foolish…she had no chance but her own pride was telling her to push on. It would have been a mistake.
When the massive suit of armour appeared in its garish colours it confirmed for the young lady that she was quite clearly out of her depth. Even with all their power Queen Amara of the Saiyan’s and Chancellor Cheri of the Tuffles were still lacking when measured against the being who had thrown quite literally a city block at the buildings below. Cheri’s words rang out clearly across the city in challenge to the figure above and both her and Amara seemed eager to close the distance with whoever he was. Jagaimo knew she would just get in the way if it came to blows and the thought stung her. With a reluctant nod she slowly backed away from the figure in the sky above them and turned back to face the city below, floating lower, letting her senses rush out like the web of a spider, searching for the pull of power that might tell her what was happening beneath her.
Two great powers clashed somewhere above the city, the strength of the blows like the stories of legends, the times before when warriors used their strength of arms to hold back the darkness…
Something bloomed in the near, power slamming into the rampaging Oozaru-Vocado before the giant ape leapt from the building at a target she couldn’t make out. Another ball of energy shot into the sky, suspended there like it was waiting for something, oddly aimed at no one in particular…there was almost too much to keep track of…so the young woman closed her world, focusing on what was around her rather than trying to understand everything all at once.
There were clashes all over the place, but what was happening below from her birds eye view caught the fighters attention. A crimson light flared amongst the ruins that had come to take over the once busy district below her, some kind of attack…
In that moment several things happened. Whatever had launched the rapidly moving technique was hit by another power that seemed to rush through the city, warring against it to overpower the attacker. A massive Namekian waded through the Oozaru Vocado had brought with him, laying one out and ending another, the mass of green moving to where the smaller powers gathered below her.
Jagaimo let go willingly, bathing in the light of Vocado’s power ball and drawing on its changing force, her body glowing with a blossoming power as she fell from the sky, racing towards the energy attacks path, intent on reaching the red spears of Ki she could make out lighting up the street as they flashed across it. Her teeth ground together as she fell…accelerating all the time…a bargain struck with the beast that hid inside. Muscles rippled as they bulged and swelled with the power the Oozaru tried to unleash, reigned in and compressed down into a strength she could control. She didn’t need to go rampaging across the city…she needed control.
The Wrathful form was only one step down from the loathing she felt for the uncontrollable Oozaru but she needed its power right now. Jagaimo flashed down through the sky like a thunderbolt and slammed into the ground, legs braced, arms flung out to side while her aura flared out, bathing the ground in a brilliant purple light and fighting against the red glow that slammed into her from behind, shattering against her defenses. With gritted teeth she glared down at the figure of a Tuffle, a tall Tuffle with red hair, seemingly too caught off guard by the attack to even react to defend himself. Her tail flickered angrily as red tinged eyes blazed down into the young man's face, the change in her bringing her eye line above his for the time being, all billowing hair and muscle...barely contained anger behind those portals into her mind...
“Stand and fight for your city Tuffle or get off the damn battlefield and let us take care of it!”
