Bonewood Breaker (Sins of War SPLIT)

More rumbling came from above. Explosions from other battles, and the shudder of mountains from foes and allies powering up in the city streets. Things were getting intense down here, so surely the same was true for the rest. His mind raced, trying to decipher who was fighting who, but the thought was stolen by the battle before him.

With a knife-handed swipe, Vocado batted the blaster away, exhaling sharply as the machine shattered to bits.

Vocado and Kabe never had a chance to cooperate in a real battle. They'd scuffled with something or other in the Bonewood Estate when they went to claim his armor, but that was no true battle. To properly test their teamwork, this was as good a test as any. The thought of conquering a foe with his nephew got his blood pumping. Fighting alongside kin again! Surely Pitt was smiling on them from above... Or perhaps below.

With the boy and the Heran locked in a clash, Vocado opted to play distraction for a moment. Hand raised, he braced the arm with the opposite limb, and loosed a hail of Ki bullets on Fukushu. Pestering shots, designed to aggravate rather than properly damage. Whether or not it did anything was yet to be seen, but at the very least, Kabe had moved from his compromising situation.

Fukushu wasn't done yet, it seemed. His power suddenly swelled as his muscles ballooned. A technique that poured Ki into just about every pore possible, but it slowed ones movements. He'd be easy to hit now, only problem was landing the blow without losing an arm or two. Taunting and bluster came from the Heran, as expected.

Readying himself for the first actual trading of blows, Vocado--

Wait.

Vocado watched with concern as his foe pulled out a capsule. Unassuming, but, he swore he caught a whiff of death on the wind. Was that...?

Throw the thought away and focus! Vocado clenched his fists tight, and pulled one back, lowering his stance as he prepared a mighty strike. Ki swirled in flaming motes around his knuckles, and with a roar, he tossed the attack forth. From between his fingers, the Ki erupted, coalescing into a mighty wave that stretched out and met Fukushu's attack in the center of the room.

They crackled against one another, crackling Ki and arcs of lightning producing high-pitched whines and warbling tones. Something was odd, though. The slightest hint of purple slithered its way into the Heran's energy.

Before Vocado could comprehend it, their attacks exploded with a brilliant display! Smoke plumed and carried itself out of their self-made sunroof, but something else carried itself on that cloud.

Destron.

Vocado nearly retched when he recognized the smell, and he very quickly felt his heart rate triple. Destron in the wild was one thing, but to see it weaponized? Capsulized and produced in an easily used battle scenario? He'd heard rumors, seen some wounds in the latter hours of the war that seemed suspicious, but...

"YOU BASTARD! CALLING HIM A FREAK WHEN YOU CARRY... Kais above, no..."

He took a shaky step back, trying to steel himself. He tapped his scout-- No. No he didn't tap his scouter. He'd smashed it when his Oozaru form had control. Damn it. Damn it all!

Did Fukushu know? Was he so sure he'd win, so overzealous in his abilities, that brazenly revealing his use of Destron didn't worry him in the slightest? Vocado and Kabe would never escape to tell the tale, the Heran must've thought. Yes, that must be it...

This was bad.

Very, very bad.

Looking to Kabe, he found a brave face and balled his fists again. "He dies, kid. Cut his GOD-FORSAKEN head OFF!"
