Touching down a few minuets after breaking through the atmosphere, Shakuhachi didn't take long to leave his ship and head towards the capital. His visits to both Plant and Earth had been illuminating; each for different reasons. On Plant he had the pleasure of learning more about his enemies; up close and personal this time. His battles with the Saiyans had been exhilarating beyond measure, and far more than anything he had experienced on Namek. A part of him felt like he had almost enjoyed it too much, as if he were a Saiyan at times himself.
A disgusting thought which was part of the reason he decided to return home. But it also put into perspective just what sort of threats he was up against; a threat he could not take on alone. He had hoped that leaving Namek would allow him to return stronger, and that's exactly what had happened. But now that was no longer his primary concern, as he believed that Namek was the resource he could turn against the rest of them.
When leaving, the goal had been to bring help back with him, but he didn't want help anymore, he didn't want this to be their victory; it would be his alone. He was going to earn it and that started now. The perfect place, at least in his own eyes, to stake his claim would be the capital. Now of course there was Grand Elder Village as well; in many ways that was still the spiritual capital of Namek. But that was the seat of Guru, and he was no Guru; he didn't want to be Guru. He wasn't interested in trying to force himself onto the old ways; he was here to create a new way.
As far as he was concerned Guru's Village was a remnant on the past; a relic to be studied perhaps, but nothing more. Dend had become the most important part of Namekian society in the modern era, and that's where his rule would begin. The last time he had been on Namek he had attempted to diplomatically explain his position, but to no avail. There were strong voices opposed to his ideas, and many of the allies he tried to seek among the locals had turned him down or outright betrayed him. That is why diplomacy was no longer an option; he had to take what he wanted by force.
As he marched into the capital, his passion burned with such vigor that some of those around him would probably be frightened away, but those who were interested would follow him to the stage he had spoken on months ago; the same stage where Tambo and the others had rebuked him. But he wasn't here to debate any more; he was here for action, and if they wanted to meet him with fire then he'd welcome them to try. On the stage now, and in front of a small crowd, he did his best to calm himself as to not unnecessarily scare anyone else off, and then spoke his mind to those who had gathered.
"My fellow Namekians; it's been far too long, hasn't it? Far longer than I had ever planned it to be. To those of you who recognize me you probably know why I had to leave, and to those of you who don't... you'll know soon enough. To try and be brief about things though: I left Namek in search of aid, but not just for myself; for all of us. On Plant I witnessed first hand the ferocity of the Saiyans, and on Earth I came face to face with some of the most powerful beings in the universe. And If I'm being honest... they frightened me. Not for fear of myself mind you, but for fear of what they could do to all of us."
Although he hated to admit it, he knew that there were many outside of Namek who greatly outmatched him. Wisps of paranoia had begun to take over his mind, and although returning to Namek had somewhat soothed those thoughts they lingered on. Being back home made him feel strong; it emboldened him to take what he saw as the necessary next step.
"That is why I am here today to make my claim at leadership! I've seen what lies beyond Namek; no one here but me is qualified to help us prepare for them. What do you think the Saiyans will do once they find themselves a king? They'll celebrate by conquering a few planets no doubt, and we're easy pickings! We need a leader who knows how to defend against that, and there's not a single person here other than me who can. Therefore, I hereby declare the Dend capital, and all of Namek which falls under it's territory as our new unified state."
