The Prodigal Son - AT - [CONQUEST]

Shakuhachi was successful in eating up Cambia, and Tabor could only look away believing that he had just lost yet another ally. Everyone around him was dropping like flies, and there wasn't anything the warrior could do that wouldn't guarantee everyone losing this battle. He knew that he was their best shot at bringing down this tyrant, but it still makes his heart ache seeing everyone else fall before him. Before Tabor could cry out in further anguish, something was happening to Shakuhachi as he himself cries out in pain. A sword pierces through the Dragon's chest, and Cambia manages to tear a hole right through the traitor. "Cambia!" Tabor shouts from the top of his lungs while still charging up Cannonball, "I am glad that you are still among the living!"

As she climbs out and regroups with everyone else, some strange looking energy makes its way over towards Tabor and enter his body. At that moment, he could feel something stirring within his body, some unknown power that was assisting him in preparing his attack. Cambia must've given Tabor the last bit of energy from her attack to further power up the warrior and get ready to strike this traitor down to the ground.

With some assistance from Cello, Tabor was able to escape Shakuhachi's grip even faster, and his Cannonball attack continues charging, now enhanced with Cambia's own ki. Cello shouts over to Tabor to launch his attack now that he has an opening, but he just needs a few more seconds before the attack was complete. Unfortunately, charging for just a bit longer would come with a deep price, for Shakuhachi had other plans. He wasn't going after Cambia the one who sliced open his chest, Tabor who was preparing a devastating attack, or Cello the one who exposed his defenses. Rather, he was now after a certain Geist.

The strange being claims that his form will simply scatter and that he cannot be killed. Even if that were true, Tabor would absolutely hate seeing another ally fall before him, though unlike the case with Cambia, he will truly be out of the fight. Yet again, Tabor is forced to watch as Shakuhachi brings down his massive elbow and slams it right on Geist, forcing his physical form to disperse. Yet again, one of Tabor's allies was out of commission, and he was capable of saving him. Yet... he held back, for he knew what must be done. 

"Shakuhachi!" Tabor bellows as his Cannonball attack has now grown larger than the warrior himself, "You will pay for what you have done! Ollo, Geist, and everyone you've put in harms way shall be avenged! Cannonball!" Dark lightning crackles from the giant orb as it grows to its final height. With a short pause, Tabor shouts, "Fire!" before launching the projectile at the Dragon's chest. Now enhanced with Cambia's energy and given proper time to prepare, this surely would prove to be effective against the traitor, yet only time will tell if his efforts pay off.

Tabor launches Cannonball, which has a power of 100%. By spending four momentum, Tabor increases his transformation modifier to a x6 for the duration of this turn. Due to Cambia's Hope's Blade, the technique's power is increased by 20%, totaling in 120% damage with 90,000 power level. 108,000 damage is sent towards Shakuhachi.

The situation was unfolding swiftly – His exertion was clearly visible upon his olive features as his veins bulged in all sorts of grotesque manners. Still – he was doing his best to keep the damned dragon off Tabor long enough for him to take a shot…and in such, had to watch helplessly as his ally and partner – Geist – was felled swiftly by the monstrous behemoth, his energy returning to the orbs upon his shoulder with a flash. He could feel his abyssian ally return, the weight of the armaments and the power he could feel within them had improved as it was known to.

The concussive force of Tabor’s blast caused a darkening effect to blot the area as the cannonball blast was fired at full force towards the Dragons massive figure. It was a testament to the capabilities of Cambia that she had manage to make it back out, among them once more – her Ocarina playing one of the best assets in this battle. His focus so homed in on the ‘weaker’ of those that stood against him, that he had failed to truly put forth the effort needed to take care of the true hinderance to his plan. The Musical Minx.

Once more he would spew words of vitriol and victory – as if he was so sure in his stance that he knew not a scenario where he could possibly be denied. He spoke of how he would force them to see his way, if he needed to, and the comment caused the Mazoku – still struggling to keep the grip off of the Warrior – would cry out in protest to the one whom thought he was so right. Disgust evident in his tone even as the exertion was clearly audible. Even now, Cello was judging this damnedable Dragon for all of his actions.

“Blah blah…grr…Blah! All you do is speak of your actions from your high horse – as if your views, your opinions, your decisions are all that matter. You truly are no better than the very people you claim you wish to protect…gah! This planet from! You sicken me with your hypocrisy you megalomaniac! Do you really think the people of this world, so blind to your arrogant nature, to your true despotic desires, that they would just buy your agenda adhoc? That they...Gah! Would just…Grah! Fall in line?! You’re more of a fool then any could’ve thought.”

The Mazoku would roar and finally lock down the squiggly fingers he’d still kept engage – not once having seen him attempt to remove their attack on the man firing on them. He would keep talking, his voice shrill in the hopes of keeping his focus on he – but even still – his body began to hum with a dark energy, his figure fluctuating, as if his shadow was taking form.

“…Even now, Those who would stand against my brothers are standing against you. I stand against you. And I will stand against anyone – Anywhere – who would dare deem to threaten the livelihood of MY People! We have suffered enough; I will not have some tyrannical salt-brain cause more strife among a people that already have so little! Damn you and your intentions! We will never bow to your whims, none of us! And we wont tow the line to your sickly desires you sycophant! Namek is and has been a free world – we need no kings, and perhaps we need no elders…but what we most assuredly don’t need…”

The attack soared closer, his eyes locked on it – and Shakuhachi – ready to leap to Tabor’s defense in a moments notice should he be attacked. No matter what happened, he had to ensure the others success, and survival. If he did not stand up for the whole – while none stood for him – then he’d be no better than the Warrior Caste who had hunted his people down like animals…he’d be no better than this Dragon, trying to assert his non-existent authority over a people who are too timid to stand up for themselves. With a mighty cry – he would begin to hum with power, ready to leap into action with a split form immediately, as he declared.

“We for sure…do not Need You!”

Tabor's Cannonball was a complete success as it tore right through the giant Dragon right at the spot where Cambia sliced her way out not too long ago. What was left behind was a giant gaping hole that would cripple just about anybody else, but Tabor was very aware of a namekian's ability to regenerate from such devastating moves, and Shakuhachi had yet to actually utilize his abilities. Sure enough, Shakuhachi wasn't quite down for the count as the giant hole the warrior once created was slowly closing up, rendering his attack basically useless. Closing such a massive wound, however, might've put a toll on hsi regenerative abilites, and if they can finish this fight fast enough, he wouldn't have time to recover from any more grievous wounds.

As Cambia once again pulls out her ocarina and starts playing a tune, the giant grabs onto his ears in an attempt to stop the pain. Shakuhachi, however, then grabs onto the ends of his ears and Tabor realizes exactly what the man planned on doing. He did this when he was fighting that demon back at the Porunga Shrine, after all. With one swift motion, Shakuhachi tears off both of his ears, and though he can no longer hear properly, Cambia's ocarina was now practically rendered useless in this fight. It appears as if she'll have to focus on damaging the namekian in another way, though Tabor hopes that it doesn't have something to do with acting as a body shield. He's already got two allies go down fighting and he doesn't need a third one to fall either.

As Cello moves in to help protect Tabor as he recovers his energy, Shakuhachi spots an opportunity and quickly closes the distance between him and the two namekians. He raises his foot high up into the air and brings it down as fast as he possibly could. In Tabor's current condition, he can't possibly move out of the way so fast. He was forced to drop his bardiche onto the ground and raise up both of his hands in a desperate attempt to push up against the giant. Hopefully with Cello's strength or quick thinking, the two could possibly avoid getting crushed under the Dragon's soles, and perhaps Cambia might find some sort of opening to assist the duo. "Is... grrr. Is this all you can... muster?" Tabor mutters despite Shakuhachi not being able to hear him at the moment.

The battle was intensifying – Cello watched with vested
interest as Tabor’s Cannonball slammed through the Behemoth with fury. It seemed to be it for the large Namekian, that is until his wounds began to knit together as his race was known to do. He cursed under his breath as he realized that even at his best – even with all the distraction, Tabor’s blows were just not enough to end this situation. The large Namekian seemed now, invincible to the warriors who faced off against him. It was clearly becoming a pitched battle; they were losing energy – and he seemed…not to be.

“Tsk…Dammit…Everything we throw at him he just takes. I’ll give him this – he sure is determined…”

He watched as the pale skinned female pulled her ocarina out once more – prepared to blow – when suddenly Shakuhachi ripped his own ears off – declaring himself tired of her tactics. He would grit his teeth in frustration as she too realized the futility in an effort, holding her blade before her she began to ask a question when the massive ear was thrown, causing her to join them side by side. It became clear that even with the numbers against him – Shakuhachi was going to be a bigger thorn then they had expected. Such tenacity and fervor could only show his commitment to his cause.

“Yeah, we could use some hel-“ As he was about to respond to her the giant foot came crashing down. The woman used some sort of skill to summon swords, and Cello sprung into action as his limbs swung out – once more elasticizing as he wrapped it around both Tabor and Cambia’s waists and flung himself and them out of the way of the crashing foot. He was the only one who so far hadn’t expended a large majority of his energy and it was showing. Tabor had given it everything he had, and Cello was sure it’d be a while before he could perform a stunt like that again.

As hey hurtled out of the way of forming swords and the stomping foot, Cello would speak to both of them His voice determined and raw;

“…I Have an Idea – but I’ll need you to buy me a little time. I have an attack that might be able to force him out of his transformed state, but it’ll take time to charge up completely…and I’ll need protection in that time, or it’ll all be for nothing.”

He looked to Tabor and knew that the warrior may be hesitant and offered him a word of advice. It was his true feelings in the flesh – for atleast this moment.

“Its not about Clans or Histories right now. Its about Planet Namek and the insurance that every one of us will have the ability to make our own decisions. Our own choices. In the battles to come, in the days ahead – its important that the people of Namek remain free to make their own choices. Whether its against my people, for them or just for theirselves…we don’t need a king…and we definitely don’t need a tyrant. So please – Brother – Help me. Now.”

It was a desperate plea for aide. He knew that they had little reason to trust one another – but Cello was willing to cast that aside in the hopes of helping protect Namek in this situation from the despot before them. He could not wait for an answer – he decided to just put faith in them both to do what was needed. If they three wanted this to end, there truly was only one way that would happen. If they pulled together and made it happen!

Retracting his arms from around them, He would leap back and further away. He had to begin charging up his attack. The Hexburst Howitzer. It was his ultimate technique, born of Magic and Power. He had been taught it from his master – and it was through this he was hoping to overwhelm the dragon’s form and force him to a more manageable height. As his hands were brought to his side, cascading power would radiate from his form – charging and building as arcane and potent force came together in a brilliant manner. He would radiate power as he began to charge up his attack. Everything depending on Cambia and Tabor now. He had to hope they would help him as he’d helped them.

As Tabor was getting ready to fight back against Shakuhachi's stomp, Cambia slips her way towards him and Cello and offers her assistance. Just as the foot was about to come crashing down, the konatsian summons a bunch of magic swords, all pointed upright and ready to punish the giant for thinking that he could end the warrior with ease. All of the swords meet their target and Shakuhachi screams out in pain as he pushes through and his foot finally touches the ground, only to realize that he hadn't crushed anyone. At the last minute, Cello was able to snatch both Tabor and Cambia. As Tabor was attempting to steady himself, he gives a quick glance over to the Mazoku and nods to him as thanks for his help.

Cello pipes up from behind Tabor and states that he has some sort of plan that could knock Shakuhachi out of his giant form. The problem is that he'll need some time in order to fully prepare for the attack and needs to be guarded while readying it. Tabor sighs in relief as he finally gets an opportunity to help someone in need instead of being forced to remain on the sidelines until he could fire off a powerful attack. "Say no more, brother," Tabor reassures the Mazoku as he moves in front of him and stretches his arms to grab onto his bardiche. "I'll give you all the time you need. Let this be the day that the clans unite against a common enemy and triumph."

Shakuhachi still couldn't hear what anyone was saying, but interestingly enough brings up an offer at this time. As long as they all bow to him, each of them will be spared. Tabor bears his teeth, but reminds himself that the giant cannot hear his words. If he cannot hear, then perhaps sight will get the warrior's message across. Tabor raises his bardiche directly at the giant and fires off a single blast of yellow ki at his face. He didn't want to waste much energy giving him a message since he's going to all the energy in his body to keep Cello safe while he prepared what he presumes is his ultimate attack. Whether or not Cambia would take the opportunity to go on the offensive or defend with him was up to her. He can handle anything the tyrant can throw at him.

Would smile as Tabor called him ‘Brother’; It was not much, but a simple act like that went a long way for someone like himself. He had spent most of his life being hunted by the Warrior-Kin, so to be embraced in a moment like this as a Namekian? Even if it was just the panic – it still felt good. Cambia also seemed to understand, as the trio cleared the path from near the Foot, now jagged and peppered with blades, Cello would nod in thanks to both. He would owe them, if this worked out – but that was a big if. He had to have faith in his magical capabilities, and his combat prowess.

“Thanks, Both of you…Cambia – I’ll be counting on you too, sorry bout all this; Im sure this was not how you

Shakuhachi would try to taunt him, but his concentration was flawless – he would not engage, even as the behemoth tried to jeer him directly. He wouldn’t buy it – focusing his attention on continuing to charge his attack up, the potent stream of magical and ki based energy coalescing and swirling into the fists held at both of his sides was only eclipsed by the sparking electric aura encapsulating his entire body.

He stared death at the large Namekian, his feral gold eyes glaring bullets at the one who would cause him such pain. He truly was the worlds biggest megalomaniac – even as he spewed his words he couldn’t help but inflate his ego even further by declaring himself the true Savior to planet Namek it was a laughable joke – but one that wasn’t truly that funny. Tabor stood before him, protecting him with his massive polearm, while Cambia used her prodigious ability with Magic to try and cause the beast to falter once more.

“..If he thinks we’d stand down and join someone like him – he’s loonier then a toon! Don’t worry…I wont falter, I wont bend…Gather and build…cast your spell and prepare the burden of punishment. He has to be stopped – you cannot falter, you cannot bend.” The Mazoku would speak to himself as he prepared his righteous attack’s power. He could feel Geist’ energy still infusing his blows – the massive gauntlets upon his hands humming with ancient and powerful abyssian force. It was clear that even though he stood solitary – he was not alone. He never truly was. He fought for his people, and for them? He’d push it past his limits.

Shakuhachi soon learned to not underestimate Cambia's abilities with her blades. His taunt regarding the size of her weapon soon turned into a gurgling mess as the blades she had left inside of him began to do their bloody work, stalling him for a moments reprieve. A moment was all it lasted for though before the Konatsian could feel the energy building up inside of the gigantic Dragon Clan Namekians throat.

Cambia held her sword to her side, both hands on the hilt as she gathered her own energy. She didn't have enough to pull off her technique that could share power with Cello yet, and she doubted she would have enough time to do so now... But she could guess where Shakuhachi was going to be aiming his attack. Right for Tabor... Cambia's power surged around her swords edge, akin to a roaring torrent of flame which she enhanced further with what strength she had left.

With a final roar of rebellion she swung her sword, sending a wave of energy firing straight towards Shakuhachi, running parallel to his own attack! With her strike hurled towards the tyrant, she did next what she proposed she would do earlier. The blonde Konatsian rushed over towards Tabor, and went to slam him out of the way of the blast radius for the titanic tyrant's beam attack. As she went to push Tabor clear, Cambia tried to pass her sword over to him. "Finish this..." she said before facing the oncoming blast and taking it full on.

Her scream of pain filled the air as the energy blast collided with her, and then all she knew was darkness. She never even felt her body collapsing to the ground in unconsciousness... Her ocarina clattering to the ground in several pieces, barely noticed among the rubble around her of the sundered earth.
