TAORI'S PL: 3,000 |
ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: None |
What a pain. Taori certainly didn't like leaving Vegeta territory, let alone by himself. Of course, Alpinia had insisted on coming with, but Taori just didn't feel comfortable allowing her to put herself in danger. Besides, this wouldn't be that big of a trek. Taori was just chasing a lead, was all. A lead that might clue him in on something important to him. The problem was just that chasing that lead meant traveling through open territory, and even though there was still currently an armistice, it didn't much change the fact that Tuffles tended to shoot on sight, and there was no telling when one was hiding around the corner.
...Actually, Taori supposed there was telling. He tapped his scouter and scanned the area around him for life forms. Nothing. He breathed a sigh of relief. The last thing he needed now was to go and get himself killed chasing a dead man. As he flew through the air, something finally did come up on the radar: a settlement among the wastes. Hostile or friendly, he wasn't too sure yet, and there was a pretty high chance of it being the former. Problem was, this was just about where he needed to be, so... "Here goes nothing..." Taori grumbled as he descended into the town.
It was a raggedy place, and there weren't many - or really any Saiyans around that Taori could see. A few other miscellaneous aliens were present, and he was pretty sure he spotted a Brenchian among the crowd, but that wasn't what he was looking for. They said it'd be at a bar, didn't they? It only took a few minutes of walking to find what Taori could only hope was the right place. Just some run down shack with a sign that said "BAR" above the entrance. Talk about fancy.
As he stepped inside, Taori could instantly feel something was off. He kept his gaze straight and focused, but the eyes around the room that bore into him were more piercing than any ki blast he'd taken. ...There were Tuffles in this bar, weren't there? Taori did his best not to notice as he took a seat and folded his hands on the table in front of him. Now he understood why there weren't any Saiyans in town. And he was starting to suspect he'd been led into a trap.
