TAORI'S PL: 3,000 |
ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: None |
"You'd be surprised," Taori curtly replied as Cheri attempted to reassure him the Arcosians wouldn't be making any sort of play for Vegeta. He trusted the lizards about as much as he trusted the Tuffles. Yet, here he was, having a relatively civil conversation with one of them. Yet the Brenchian continued to insist that this 'Directoe Freige' was uninterested in ruling over Vegeta. Had his hands full with his own planet over there, apparently.
Taori wasn't sure he was buying that either. If there was one thing true of Arcosians, they wanted more and more, they wouldn't be content to just have their one planet and be satisfied. Arcose may have come first for Freige, but you didn't have to care about another planet's well being in order to rule over it.
"Whatever," is the only reply Taori offers her. Apparently there was another Arcosian that was more worth worrying about, anyway. Hibernal, their name was? Why did every Arcosian have such a stupid name? Tuffle names were at least sort of similar in vein to Saiyan names at times, but Arcosian names were just... Strange.
Froma had moved on from talking about her lovey dovey lizard warlords, though, and was now asking Cheri if she did know Amara herself. Taori supposed he was vaguely interested in hearing Cheri's answer, and he sat back with his arms crossed expectantly as he looked over at the obnoxiously pink Tuffle. She'd replied fairly briefly when Taori had mentioned Amara may be in danger, but he felt like there was something more, there.
If Cheri was familiar with Garrick's daughter as well as Garrick himself, then Taori had reason to believe maybe there was more to all of this than she was being forthcoming with. Could Taori add something to wring a little bit more out of her? "...Well, whether you know her or not, I'd really like to get some closure on at least something out of that side of the family. She's my wife's cousin, and we're worried sick about her." Maybe appealing to Cheri's empathy would get her to admit something.
