Looking Out My Back Door

Everyone was getting their turn to limit break, it seems. Rhuba still hadn't found a good time to do it himself, but it wasn't like he didn't want to. Perhaps, it would end before he was able to finally unveil his new move. There it was, finally, the explosion of energy sent Old Man Rhuba flying backward, skidding into the sand. Rhuba had been distracted by the display of Lottus falling prey to the Saiyan tail grab, the little Saibamen just latched on and wouldn't let go. Ah, yes, that. Rhuba knew a lot about that weakness, once his tail regrew rapidly, he fell to it many times on Plant. He then trained his tail constantly, and had rid himself of this issue, aside from perhaps a certain blue lizard whom caused weakness in him in many ways.

Shifting his hands through the loose sand, he finally raised up, only to be obscured from the others, and of the others by a giant cloud of dust. Not yet, he thought, remembering he had just got hit with a shockwave and still felt a bit dizzy from it. Everyone was firing off one after another, wouldn't the best course of action be to wait? No, he should do it now! What would Pom say? Shaking his head of the thought, Pom wasn't a fighter, so it wasn't easy to gauge that thought.

Rhuba turned his body, and sat on the ground with his legs crossed in the general direction of the others, having been sent to the farthest corner of the pit. Feeling out the energy and staying in his own little dust cloud, he'd begin to think about his next move. Oh, who was that? Did the little Saibamen do that? Rhuba wondered who it was specifically, given that all he could hear was screeches and gurgles coming from it. Seemed to be quite the talkative tike as well. Rhuba shrugged off the idea, he knew they were children, but he still needed to try and keep up the idea that they were Saibamen in his head.

It was just like earlier, small scuffle broke out while those on the outskirts recovered or lie in wait. That's when he heard it, the big one shout. He looked a little worse for wear, but still clearly had enough strength to fight back. Due to the restraint on everyone's strength, the Saibaman was just as strong as everyone else here in theory. One of the Saibamen who hit him with a blast took a big hit themselves, looked like they were likely out of the competition. Rhuba was now distracted by the Big Saiyan, Saibaman, and the one who he had attacked earlier? Didn't have a reference for who that was, or even what species they were.

Rhuba leaned back on the ground, watching that unknown species fighter try and pull off the Saibamen from the big brute. Tch, unfair. The Saibamen was small and it was two on one now! Rhuba didn't like that, didn't sit well with him for some reason. The little thing was trying it's best! They were going to ruin that for it! Rhuba raised a hand, still in his laid back position, and snapped his fingers. The cane he had unceremoniously dropped in the middle of the pit pulled itself free from the sand it had been trapped under, and levitated a few feet off the ground.

Staring down the fighter pulling on the Saibamen, he frowned. Snapping his fingers again, his cane shot forth and sped toward Verst. The cane was imbued with Rhuba's magic, and he was able to manipulate it from afar. The moment it reached Verst, Rhuba snapped once more and the cane began a savage rush attack on Verst in quick strikes. The cane aimed for one of his arms, legs, and then ending with a heavy swing at his head. After the barrage of magically strengthened swings, the cane would collapse lifelessly.

Finally, something extremely interesting had begun to happen! One might even call it... cool! The Saibaman lifted the big Saiyan in the air, which caused Rhuba to shift and lean forward, interested in the spectacle. Rhuba was rooting for this little Saibamen, his hand gripped the sand underneath him as he watched the Saibamen let go of the tail. Success! Excitement welled within Rhuba, which caused him to stand quickly, feeling the compulsion to start clapping. Stopping mid motion, moments before the glorious meeting of hands. His celebration premature, the attack was completely unsuccessful and the little one was now on the other end of the barrel.

Ki spiraled around his hands, the channeled ki sparked around his palms and swirled into a chaotic yellow ball, golden ki bouncing around both balls of ki like static. Rhuba pushed off the loose sand and sprinted across the pit to potentially help the little one. Rhuba liked the gumption it had, and seeing a Saibaman swing around the big brute was a spectacle and a half, one no one will probably ever see in their life, not even those that were here, though they saw a different similar once in a lifetime visual. He wanted to show appreciation, at least in some way, perhaps if he could finish the job, or even save the Saibaman he would appreciate that? Unfortunately, he wasn't able to make it across the pit in time, the blast had already left Lottus' hands. Only one option now.

"Thunder clap." Rhuba's hands came together in a thunderous clap, a shockwave of wind blew the sand up around him in a cloud. Rhuba was surrounded in a sparking aura, the ki surrounding him adding a second defensive layer. Since Rhuba had made it most of the way to where Lottus and the other two were, the cloud of dust obscured the view just briefly. With speed and deftness not becoming of an old man, Rhuba slipped through the dust, parting it briefly as he made his way behind Lottus, his feet tapping the sand only for long enough to cause a small indent.

Rhuba, if unnoticed would try to gently slap Lottus' back, regardless of if he was able to touch the man, or if he'd turn to greet Rhuba, he'd smirk and speak mockingly. "Something, something, spine, right?" Old Man Rhuba chuckled, his voice at the start was clearly Lottus'. The last word switched back to the crotchety old man voice he had been doing the entire round, but for the Lottus voice those in the audience looked at Lottus as if he had been the one speaking, only to realize it was the old man. The crowd blew up in chatter at the display of mimicry. 

"And Flash." Another snapping of his fingers, he timed an activation of a lesser form of his Lightspeed technique at the same time. Fortunately, he was just quick enough to dodge the ball of ki that was barreling from behind, the same ball of ki that he had left in the middle of the pit on his way over to Lottus and company.

The ball narrowly misses the right side of Rhuba's neck, a small portion of his hair gets blown away by the sheer force. If the ball had touched Rhuba, the electric-like ki would have likely shocked him instead. The moment the ball of ki would come into contact with anyone, it would surge them with Rhuba's ki, as if being struck by a powerful lightning bolt. Following the ki blast, and his subsequent dodge, Rhuba added a front kick aimed at center mass, hoping to the send the brute into the wall nearby.

Rhuba uses Aggressive Attacker and attacks twice! Rhuba uses his magic to levitate his cane and attack Verst using Lightspeed Rush for 100 damage! (20%) Rhuba then fires his Sparking at Lottus for 650 damage! (130%) and gains a 200 power shield (40%) with Backup Plan! Ends the turn with a non-KP kick towards Lottus!

Rhuba creates a ball of chaotic ki into the air by pushing two created balls of ki together into one, after he's done that, he has a short window where he points his hand at his target and snaps his fingers, or slaps against an object or person. The ball of ki shoots out toward the target of his choosing.
