Dragons. Selfless beings with great knowledge of the mystical arts.
Warriors. Disciplined protectors unyielding in the face of adversity.
Mazokus. Untamed combatants ferociously living and dying for their ideals.
These were the three clans that shared mother Namek and its bountiful gifts. Cabasa was part of the latter one, of course. Whether it was due to her inherent mutations or her passion for the fray, the winged Mazoku found herself under this umbrella after meeting Gandigan, the Daimyo of the Plait. After his death, he bestowed upon her shoulders a heavy burden: Ensuring the perennity of Namek by honing the claws of her brethren to prepare them for the perils represented by Lottus and other insidious threats that had yet to reveal themselves.
During her mission, Cabasa met a myriad of battle brothers and sisters. These Mazokus amounted to a motley bunch who starkly contrasted with one another. Some like Maxsuz were motivated by greed and ambition, intrinsically possessing ulterior motives that made them unworthy of trust. Others like Marimba were to be respected and kept under a watchful eye, for while they had the heart of a true warrior it was sadly impeded by a lingering ruthlessness, a darkness - in this, Cabasa saw a little bit of herself. On the flip side, there were the oddities like Cello and Gira, beings ranging from ur-Namekians awakening after a period of hibernation and desiring to reconcile with their strength of yore to benevolent aliens made Mazoku due to unforeseen circumstances.
If Cabasa had to size him up, Pankaa was a bit like Gira; kind if a bit naive, yet it didn't preclude him to have convictions and a fighting spirit that rivaled the likes of Balafon, one of Gandigan's most loyal followers. This is exactly why Cabasa wanted for the Daimyo and Nero's brother to meet: At their core, they were both extremely flawed individuals with resplendent qualities that more than made up for their shortcomings. Gandigan's own fears steered him toward a warmongering path that Cabasa saw as incompatible with Namek's continued survival. Pankaa, on the other hand, was too bright of a star for this cruel world and needed to be lowered to reality, lest his plumage would burn scorched by his sky-high illusions.
Cabasa hoped that the two Mazokus could learn from each other, which is why the winged demoness soared to the Maima Fields, converging toward the Avali's residence with a silent plummet to make a graceful landing at the front door before retracting her wings. With a candle made from a prominent hellborn's earwax that she "borrowed" from Nero held in one hand, she knocked at the front door. In the midst of waiting for an answer, she pursed her lips and blew a small flame to lit the wick. Then, she set down the candle a few paces away on the grass, its flickering flame widening into a swirling portal, a canvas of an otherworldly vista made from ashen mountains and snow-laden conifers sprawling as far as the eye could see.
