It was true that their last fight had been a back and forth exchange, an epic clash whose result had yet to be set in stone. Despite the uncertainty of its outcome, she surrendered to the Daimyo even though she still had some fight left in her. Was it because she was afraid of losing life? The truth was that Cabasa knew that Gandigan wouldn't hesitate to slay her if she stepped out of line, so she had been extremely cautious this far when dealing with him. However, starting from today, things were going to change; with her newfound knowledge of this "life after death", Cabasa found herself more accepting toward the idea of dying.
So why not go all out? Not in a reckless manner like she was used to, but maybe she ought to fight until the very end today. After all, she couldn't call the matches she had with Gandigan pointless; each of them came with their fair share of lessons and growth. Like her king wisely said, today's fight was going to be a blank slate on which they were going to collectively write the next waltz.
Cabasa readied her forearms as Gandigan pressed the attack, raising them in front of her body before giving them a firm flex to bulk them up. Gandigan's claws found a surface to dig into with these forearms, but the wounds inflicted across them were very superficial considering their sheer toughness. Cabasa allowed her king to swipe and slash unimpeded, or at least it was the case until she broke from her defensive posture and jutted her head forward to meet Gandigan's fingers with a vicious headbutt. The toughness of the skull versus the soft, pliable phalanges of her king; which one of them would prevail?
No matter what the outcome was, Cabasa's game was noticeably more patient today. As far as Gandigan could tell, she was building up her energy as much as he was with how both fighters were exchanging very rudimental blows.
