On Distant Stars - [Challenge] - Lottus

    Lottus witnesses Gandigan's deadly Ki Blades slicing through the air towards him - but this time, there would be no more of his own blood spilled from them.

    "It's over!! OBLITERATION CANNOOOOON!!!" Lottus bellows. He thrusts his hands forth together, and a massive surge of energy explodes forth! A beam of swirling crimson and black power tears down towards the assaulting Ki Blades -- and the attacks smash into each other!

    At first, they stop each other dead in their tracks, but Lottus' attack was stronger. Pushing hard, Lottus wills his blast to begin a slow march against the tide of Gandigan's Ki Blades, and towards the Namekian himself!

    This was easily the greatest battle Lottus had ever had the pleasure of facing. No one else came close - not Vocado, not Taori, not even the Earthling Jackie whom had defeated Lottus not so long ago. Those battles had been amusing. They had been painful. And he had lost each. But this... this was a true test of his might. Single combat against an enemy of near exact strength to his own, and bringing an end to one who would think to destroy him. Everyone else relied on others to help chip away at him so that they may claim victory - to claim they had single handedly defeated Lottus.

    Only a scant few could claim to have defeated Lottus without outside help or interference. Vocado, in the early days, Kabe a year ago, the half breed feline Saiyan Dark, and Lottus' cousin, Zuqetta. Four - of a dozen or more enemies over time. Only those four could truly claim to have defeated him alone.

    Had Lottus been just slightly weaker, he knew the Namekian would have defeated him. But not here. Not now. Gandigan, at least for now, would not become the fifth of that list. At least, not today.

    Even against the intense strain, the howling of the winds and humming of energy clashing against energy - Lottus heard Gandigan. Was this indeed the limits to Lottus' power?

    No.

    Lottus dug deep into the wells of his power, and seized hold of all that was left of his great power - and dragged it into the light. Lottus' Super Saiyan aura blazed to life once more, and Lottus' cruel cerulean eyes widen with malignant glee.

    "Here, Gandigan -- this is all I have!!" Lottus screamed as his blast practically doubled in size!! "NOW DIIIIIIIIIIE!!!!"

    Gandigan had managed to halt Lottus' blast before - but now it once more hurtled towards Gandigan. The Ki Blades were swallowed by the crimson and black light as it bore down upon the exhausted Namekian, and the energy threatens to wash over Gandigan; weakened, certainly, but Lottus knew that this was going to end it.

    The Mazoku King had come across the galaxy, hunting an animal to slaughter. Instead, the King found a Monster. Valiant in his effort to defeat Lottus - in the end, it was in vain. He had struck against Lottus too soon. And he had done so, alone. And fighting alone against a mighty enemy, Lottus had learned on multiple occasions, invited one's own downfall.

    Gandigan would die this day. The Mazoku King of Namek. And it would be by the hands... of the Legendary Super Saiyan - Lottus.

    Lottus' blast overtook Gandigan at last. It burrowed into the ground, and detonated with such force that Lottus was certain he'd just destroyed the planet early. His hands, still outstretched, shake as his strength begins to ebb with the adrenaline slowly beginning to wear off. He was a bloody mess - claw slash marks across his face, stomach, and chest still wept blood.

    But Lottus felt so alive!

    "...Kuh... keheh... Kuhahahaha!! KAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Lottus threw his head back in triumph, letting out a manic cackling as the world entered its final death throes. Pillars of flame burst from the ground, spewing into the clouds as Lottus continued to laugh in his terrible victory. "AAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAAAHAHAAA!!"

    Lottus threw his fists into the air, and belted out a snarling bellow - the Super Saiyan aura burning around him as lightning flashes across the sky. The world was armageddon. Tornadoes of flame; oceans of lava; and entire continents being swallowed up in the planetary carnage. Lottus gazes down one last time as the unfathomably deep hole where Gandigan once stood - all corners of the hole had lava pouring into it as if to bury whatever could have been left of the Namekian.

    Lottus burned through the air, searching for his ship. Miraculously, he found it still standing upon a crumbling plateau. He boards the ship, making his way fast to the control room. Throwing himself into the helm seat, Lottus set the ship into its starting sequences. The engines soon roar to life, and the ship begins a rapid ascent; its liftoff causing what was left of the plateau to crumble into the lava seas. The ship breaks atmosphere, and hurtles away from the world.

    Lottus sets the ship into autopilot, and rises from the seat to gaze out a viewport towards the planet. Already, it had become a small marble in the distance - and angry, red marble. After a few more moments, he witnessed that which had begun to be an addicting sight - the planet erupts in a magnificent flash of light. Pleased, but exhausted, Lottus heads for the ship's medical wing. Simple first aide would do for now - healing chambers on Plant would do the rest.

    Taori owed Lottus a dinner in the Palace, after all.
