Lottus met Gandigan's charge, but didn't intercept the first blow in time to prevent it. His head snaps to the side from the impact, and the following uppercut causes his head to whip back. Lesser being's would have had their necks break under such blows; but Lottus and Gandigan were battling at powers far and above. Gandigan's feet plant squarely into Lottus' chest sending the Saiyan careening down further into the giant pit. Lottus slams into the far wall, grinding against the stone as he slides further down.
Grunting, Lottus regains control of himself, and pushes off the rock wall, gazing up as Gandigan fled from the pit. He soon realized why, as heat began to overtake Lottus. He blinks and looks down - to witness magma bubbling up from the planet's unstable mantle.
"Shit!" was all Lottus could say before he vanishes into the magma. Like a great volcano, the magma bursts through the open pit and explodes! The land around the explosion breaks apart entire chunks of the ground break apart and are thrown into the air as whatever isn't ejected breaks apart more and more, and falls into the rapidly expanding gigantic sink hole.
Nearby mountains begin to erupt as well, sending powerful concussive blasts and horrifyingly loud thunderclaps BOOM through the air at deafening levels. The stars had vanished behind planet-spanning cloud of choking ash, and the heat of the planet continued to rise to become intensely uncomfortable. Oceans were already virtually non-existent, vaporized by the destruction, or spilling into open volcanoes to cause more terrible explosions of lava. The planet could only be described as a hell scape, with almost no land left untouched by flowing lava and magma.
But the true cataclysm finally returns to view. The pit, now filled and overflowing with magma, suddenly bursts again! A ball of magma rises from the pit; but soon the cause is revealed. The magma spills from a shining sphere of energy - Lottus had formed a shield to protect himself from the volcanic eruption! Lottus lowers the shield, and grins at Gandigan.
"You almost had me there. Points for the effort." Lottus cackles. Furious black clouds overhead roil with now non-stop lightning, and tornadoes had begun to lift flames and lava, becoming blazing twisters. Lottus looks around, still grinning. "...Another six minutes left, Gandigan. I hope your ship is fast. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
