The sharp whistle of a vessel breaking through the outer atmosphere echoed outward, as the red-hot ball of metal tore through the serene skies. Birds squawked in fear, disturbed from their resting places near the beautiful flowing waters. Namekian farmers a continent away could see the odd disturbance. Surely it meant doom, some thought. Others simply took it as yet another tourist who couldn't find a spaceport. Namek did have one, somewhere near Dend Capital, but most people didn't know about it or simply didn't like using it.
Vocado's pod crashed into the clear pools of the water, hissing and bubbling at it impacted. With a sharp pop, Vocado's hatch opened and he leaped from the waters. Soaked as he was, he was glad to not leave evidence of his arrival. Sure, the smoke trail would be around for a few hours, but his aquatic landing meant he left no crater.
Grasping his pod, he exited the water and shook off like a wild dog, plopping down near the water's edge and fiddling with a few buttons on his scouter. Thankfully it wasn't waterlogged.
With little more than a moment, he sent out a signal beacon, addressed to a very particular frequency: Kabe. The little guy had run off ages ago, and hadn't been clued in on the goings-on in ages. Getting him up to speed was of utmost importance, even if this little visit did put some strain on the political sphere if anyone noticed.
Then again, the world leaders of Namek seemed pretty chill. Surely they wouldn't mind.

The looming shadow of the prestigious Jörmungandr hung over the waters of Ajisa, it's crew enjoying a rare reprieve from duty, splashing about by the beach in the green waters of Namek. As Kabe lazed about, trying and failing to teach an increasingly impatient and unenthused Bee to swim, one of his comms crew came running down from the ship. "Boss! Boss!" the cerealian waved, rushing over. Kabe downed his drink, waddled out of the water and met him at the bank. "What is it, Pops?" Kabe asked, pulling his shades down and eyeing him.
"S-Sorry boss! I know you said not to disturb you, but your scouter keeps beeping with a signal that someone's nearby." Kabe rolled his eyes, and took the scouter from him. "And?" he asked, clipping it to the side of his head and looking into it, before smiling. Vocado.
Kabe whistled to Bee, who shook blue algae from his hair, swallowed a mouthful of seawater and seemed glad to be back on land. "Come on kid, we've got a visitor." he said, and after quickly throwing on some clothes he rocketed off to the source of the signal.
It didn't take long for Kabe to reach the waters of Fl'uud, and Kabe spied a saiyan pod beneath the surface of the water, and a very wet looking Vocado drying off on the bank by the sea. He rushed down to meet him. "Uncle! Long time, no see." Kabe said, skidding to a halt beside him, kicking dust and sand into the air as he did, and waving at Vocado. From his back, a beetle popped like a baloon and in a snap reformed into the shape of Bee, lanky and insectoid. He blinked at Vocado for a moment, before his antennae shook eagerly in recognition. "Vocado! Hey."
Vocado barely budged from his spot near the water, merely opening his eyes to check on the coming power. When he realized it was Kabe, he leaped to his feet, darting forward and grasping Kabe with a strong hug.
”Kiddo! It’s been too long!”
After a few moments, he relented, giving a smile and wave to Bee, who had… certainly grown. ”Glad to see you’re both still in one piece. I was worried that maybe something had happened.”
There was a nervous, excited energy in Vocado. Like he had a trillion things to say but only so much time to say them. Fun things, scary things, important things— the question wasn’t what not to say, but where to start.
”Oh! Okay, don’t freak out… but check out what I can do.”
Vocado became still, his breathing quiet. Around him, a rumble began. Slow at first, but as his power grew, and his hair flowed upwards, the rumbling intensified. Surely this was a bad idea, but he had to show off to SOMEBODY.
With an awesome explosion, Vocado’s body was awash with golden light. His hair turned from its inky black to a vibrant, glowing blonde. His eyes a piercing teal, and his power sky-high.
Exhaling shakily, he gestured to himself, a smile on his face.
”There ain’t just one Super Saiyan. I think we’re up to six now. We gotta get you up to speed, kid! But we can, yknow, talk about that later.”
Although his intention originally was to show off the form and drop it, something told him this could be good practice. Activating the form was an easy way to burn some energy reserves. If he could get comfortable in this state…
With a sigh, he lowered his Ki output. Still a mighty force, but lessened by a wide margin. The golden aura faded, and the brilliant blonde had tapered off into a paler, almost white tone.
”How’s Namek been treating you? Plunder any villages?”

Kabe nodded to Vocado in that comfortable way you nod to a relative, the kind of enthused yet awkward nod you offer as someone pinches your cheeks and tells you how big you've grown. And as Bee was waved to, his mandibles split into a toothy buganoid smile. Kabe offered a small, nervous laugh as he got a read on Vocado's energy, both his impressive battle power in the lens of his scouter, and his whole vibe in the moment. What was up with him?
Then, he told Kabe not to freak out, which Kabe laughed at again. "What do you mean? You're the one-" Kabe started to say, before he felt a familiar dread rumble through him, like a warning sign carried by train up the tracks of his spine, and as the light flashed and Vocado's hair shot up, the train crashed into the station and before Vocado could speak, Kabe pointed, a tremor in his hand. "SUPER SAIYAN!"
He took two steps back as he began to think over, to try and capture in his mind the scope of what this meant. "You're-" he started, ready to blabber as he processed the shock, the pride, the horror and the tulmultuous mess of other feelings that came with knowing that there was another of these impossibly strong beings running around. But then, Vocado spoke. Six.
After a moment, like a little dial was spinning in his mind, Kabe's eyes flickered back to life. He rushed Vocado and excitedly jabbed the air before giving him a playful pat on the shoulder. "Holy shit! My uncle's a Super Saiyan! This is so cool!" After a few more excited hand motions, Kabe let his excitement settle, and watched as Bee simply shapeshifted his hair gold and rolled his eyes, as if it was a normal everyday occurance.
Vocado had also asked how Namek had been treating him, and it dawned on Kabe that if there was a rise in Super Saiyans, that it meant the galaxy was probably about to get a lot messier and more dangerous. Namek had been good to him, and his friends had too. He needed to let them know, asap. And, it dawned on him... that Vocado had probably never met Zhalla, who though not related to Vocado by blood, was still a part of their family. And with Ise missing and Pitt gone too, Kabe guessed his uncle would appreciate the connection. "Hold that thought unc, there's somebody you've gotta meet. She probably needs to know about this Super Saiyan business too, so it's good timing."
Zhalla. Meet me here ASAP. Please? It's important.
Kabe texted Zhalla, and attached to it an emoji with big, pleading eyes. He had thought for a moment about lying, saying there were orphans in danger or something, but he was concerned Zhalla might show up and attack Vocado straight away, so he opted for the uncharacteristic choice to be honest... if a little vague. Then he looked up to Vocado. "She'll be here soon."
Zhalla had just been considering that it was maybe time she thought about heading home now since having gotten back from Plant when a message popped up for her from a familiar face... Kabe. How did he have her contact again? She gave it to him during that whole ordeal with his dad trying to kill him didn't she? Yeah, that was probably how. She had told him to not use it for any silly reasons and whatnot and to be fair he hadn't really so when she got his text to come meet him accompanied by an emoji she would sigh lightly and push the thought of going home to Nero aside for the moment. Kabe was family after all and he did say please.
In typical Zhalla fashion though she didn't reply to his text she kind of knew she didn't need to though anyway. She was a little surprised to see that Kabe was still on Namek in general but hey at least it meant he wasn't asking her to go meet him somewhere off planet. She hadn't been home yet soooo no motorbike and could only fly while in her Super form which she wasn't about to just turn into for that reason alone-- She wasn't good enough at flying yet anyway and didn't want to look like a clown in front of Kabe of all people. So good ol' fashioned walking it was! She wasn't all that far away anyway since she'd been ambling around all day.
True to Kabe's word the ginger haired Saiyan managed to get there pretty soon-- She was looking pretty dishevelled though like she'd been out doing something all day and hadn't had a chance to clear up yet, because she had been out all day and hadn't had a chance to go home yet. To her surprise though Kabe wasn't alone here either, his kid and another Saiyan accompanied him already and they all looked like they'd just recently gotten out of a body of water. She'd look between Kabe and the other Saiyan for a few moments as well as casting a look to Bee before looking back to Kabe again. "Who's that?" She'd ask, pointing a thumb towards Vocado as her tail gave an uncertain flick but her face gave nothing away to say she didn't trust whoever it was that was with Kabe. "If you've called me here to fight or something Kabe I'm afraid I can't today, okay?"
"Haha yeah!" He was very, very glad that Kabe was excited. There was another world, surely not far from this one, where Kabe fainted on the spot, or fell into a blubbering mess from the trauma of seeing a Super Saiyan. They were a scary thing to behold, but Kabe had seen scarier surely.
"With this, we can turn Callion into paste with a thought. It's easier than you'd think, too! We can get you up to speed as quick as a whip. That's part of why I--"
Wait. Someone to meet? Maybe it was... No. Surely not. That mercenary girl he'd mentioned before was probably long dead. They had a grudge or something, and Kabe definitely murdered her already.
But the girl indeed arrived.
A mix of emotions swirled in Vocado's chest. Chief among them was the instinct to throttle the girl for giving his nephew trouble in the past. But before that... Recognition. Not exact, but it was close enough.
"Hey, you're... You're a Super Saiyan too!" He pointed at Zhalla, a brow raised. "Your face showed up in at least a dozen reports from the second Hatchi Incident. Golden glow, just like that other guy who showed up."
Well, this could be a good thing. A girl as strong as Lottus and Taori could be another boon to the war effort, and she was a mercenary! Coin came plentiful in the Kingdom. Maybe she could be bought? He'd have to prod a bit first; test the waters. If she was pro-Earth, he'd keep his interest in 'expansion' under wraps until she left.
"I'm Vocado. Kabe's uncle." He stretched his hand out to shake Zhalla's. "Glad to meet you, I think. You wouldn't happen to be free for a gig we're working on, would you?"

For a moment, or well... a few moments, there was this growing worry in Kabe's chest that Zhalla might not show up. He had faith in her, sure. But he was also the kind of person who caused her endless trouble, so he could forgive her for thinking this was some kind of trap. But before that could become any real concern, she reared her head into view and joined Kabe and his super saiyan companion. Kabe was about to give Zhalla a glowing introduction to Vocado, he looked even more confused at her than he had at Vocado as his uncle pointed and said words that threw him for a loop.
And as his uncle did, he pointed at Zhalla as well. "You're a Super Saiyan?" he asked, and for a moment he sat there, thinking about that. Then he rolled his eyes, and groaned. "Is everyone a Super Saiyan now but me? What does it take, what do I need to do to become one?"
Kabe wasn't sure if he wanted that question answered. He was worried that his hopes might be dashed by whatever they said, but also worried that if it were something he could do, that the responsibility of being that strong would have the strings of fate drag him towards fights he honestly had no business being in. He redirected his thoughts.
"Zhalla, this is Vocado; as he said, he's my uncle. Which, I guess technically makes him your second-uncle-by-marriage or something? Family stuff confuses me." Kabe shrugged, then looked to Vocado. "Unc, this is Zhalla. She's that bounty hunter I told you about way back, but I figure you've figured that out already. She's my cousin; Spinespear side, but... still blood to me. I figure that makes her your second-neice or something, right?" Kabe seemed confused trying to awkwardly explain the relationship they all shared as simply as he could, but he was smiling. He hoped that this was good news, to Vocado. He watched intently for his reaction, and eyed Zhalla for hers too, not sure how she might react to this sudden introduction.
When pointed at Zhalla took a small step back and raised her hands defensively-- The other Saiyan seemed to be aware that she too was able to turn Super Saiyan and she opened her mouth to ask how when he quickly answered that too. Her eyes widened at hearing her face had shown up in reports from the incident back on Plant, well she supposed it would've been either that or the tournament. She had half a mind to try and stop him from pointing it out still though since Kabe was here and she hadn't wanted him to know yet but what was said couldn't be taken back now!
Kabe pointing at her too made her rub the back of her neck like some sort of secret she'd been keeping from him had just come out. "I suppose I am yeah, I have been for a little while now-- Did you want to see it or something?" She didn't quite understand the fuss about it though but Taori and Lottus had acted surprised when seeing her, Russ and Marrow as well so she supposed it was more rare and special then she first realized, or at least there was something more to it then what she currently understood. Still, the idea of her face being shown in dozens of reports at least on Plant was rather daunting to think about and put a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach to think about "... What kinda things were they saying in the reports?"
At the introduction Zhalla would take up Vocado's offered hand for a firm handshake in greeting, listening to Kabe as he explained that the man was his Uncle. "Pleasure to meet you Vocado, I'm Zhalla" Though Kabe had basically covered most of the introductions part, thinking on it too Kabe was right in that everyone here was kinda related. If Vocado was Kabe's Uncle and Kabe was her Cousin what did that make Vocado to her? Related in some way even if she didn't know the exact term for it. "Does that make him my second-uncle then?" Maybe just also calling him uncle would be easier though, she wasn't even sure if second-uncle was the right term either! But she wouldn't dare to call him uncle either until she knew he was alright with it, it was at least nice to meet more family though.
The ginger saiyan flinched lightly at Kabe's introduction of her though because of the mention of her being the 'bounty hunter he told him about way back' she shot Kabe a look that let him know she wasn't happy about that but she wasn't about to whack him over the head in front of his Uncle. Besides, Kabe looked pretty happy as if the two in front of him meeting for the first time was like some sort of second christmas for him and she didn't want to ruin that. "I doubt everyone is it but you Kabe, what's the important thing you called me out here for also?" She doubted it had just been for her to meet his Uncle after all. As for what did he need to become a Super Saiyan though she looked a little embarrassed for a moment and hoped Vocado would answer first on that one, she was sure their experiences on getting it were quite different anyways.
Vocado asking if she happened to be free for a gig they were working on made her raise her scarred eyebrow in intrigue, "Depends on the kinda gig you're going for, what've you guys got in mind?"
"Honestly? It's easier than you'd think." Well, it actually wasn't easy at all. You had to be overwhelmed with emotions to the point that your body cried out for something more, as well as be strong enough for that something to come to you... But he'd make sure to sell it as something easy for Kabe. "You just gotta... Need it. Not desire it or crave it. When you're at your absolute limit, it'l explode, and, well..."
He gestured to himself, his hair still bright and eyes still teal.
Getting back to Zhalla, he gestured with his hands as he spoke, detailing the reports and their grander retelling of events. "Well, they said you pummeled Lottus. Kicked his ass then sat back and watched the fireworks while Taori finished him. Did some work on some other Super Saiyan who showed up to help Lottus, then you carried Taori out of there on your back... Or so one eyewitness commented."
Surely an exaggeration, but Saiyans had a flair for the dramatic. Maybe whoever wrote that report was crushing on Zhalla just a bit.
As for the other revelation...
"Another relative, eh?"
Vocado probably should've shouted in surprise or something, but the revelation wasn't too surprising. Saiyans loved to... 'get around', and nobility was certainly no exception. Learning the Spinespears and Bonewoods had a connection was about as shocking as learning water and dirt made mud.
"Another niece, then? Close enough, anyways. We can figure out the exact details when we track down a family tree or some crap, though I can't exactly say I recall any Zhalla's on any bloodline map I've read." Vocado was a bit of a history buff. Even so, noble lines could sometimes be... hard to track.
For a moment, Vocado hesitated, unsure if Zhalla could be trusted with the full truth of his 'gig'. Regardless of whether she declined or not, she didn't seem the type to go tattling on him. Even so, he would keep it vague for now.
"Well... See, I'm working on a project. Big picture stuff. Lots of fighting, maybe planting a flag down where we shouldn't. That kinda thing. You got any qualms with kicking the shit out of people and stealing their land?" He eyed Zhalla, a brow raised. Surely Kabe would be down, but the girl was still a mystery.
"It'd be a long gig. Lots of fighting to do, and all. Good pay, though."

What was the important thing? Kabe once again sat in a moment of pause as he thought hard about how to answer that question. At first, the important thing had been to warn her about the rise of super saiyan level powers. But... now, as he understood it, she was very much already aware, and she seemed not to be worried in the slightest. And the other reason, the introduction that the two in front of him had so casually rolled through seemed to not have been important enough for him to use the 'emergency, serious business only' line Zhalla had given him to use.
"Um..." He mumbled. Bee walked over, and transformed into Lottus, cackling and mad. "I'm gonna destroy the universe!" he shouted in his best Lottus impression, barely remembering him from the thirty odd seconds he'd seen him before Lottus had clocked him silly. Kabe took the queue with appreciation. "The important business, was warning you that there's a rapidly increasing number of ticking timebombs like Lottus here," he thumbed towards Bee, who sparked his hair gold and punched a rock, shattering it. "But apparently you left the planet and met him yourself, so I guess the warning is a bit pointless?"
He shrugged. "Still, it's good to see you. I guess it's good timing if you're looking for work, I'm keen to hear what Vocado's here for." he said, and he walked around to stand beside Zhalla and face Vocado. As he did, he leaned over to her and whispered. "...and we've got to chat about your fiance, now don't we?" he teased, remembering that Nero had offhandedly revealed their engagement during his tournament fight, and he hadn't had the chance to grill Zhalla for the details since.
Zhalla seemed a little amused on what Vocado mentioned about the reports, it wasn't all a lie per say but it was a bit fluffed up and more dramatic then what actually happened. "Well I'd say that's a little more dramatic to what actually happened but its not an outright lie either so" She shrugged as if to say it was close enough to be satisfactory. It was weird to think that she was being shown as a kind of hero for Plant though-- Of all the places she expected it to be the last planet she'd have tried to save but here she was.
It was also strange to hear that she was someone's niece but here Vocado was too. At the mention of tracking down a family tree she'd glance over to Kabe, "Y'know I think I saw one of those at your dipshit father's place way back when" As for why Vocado couldn't recall any 'Zhalla's on any bloodline map he'd read the ginger Saiyan would breath out her nose in a kind of huff before answering. "That'd probably be because I wasn't called Zhalla initially" She'd pinch the bridge of her nose though as she didn't want Kabe of all people to hear her actual name cause Kami knows he's probably use it to annoy her from time to time. If Vocado didn't move away she'd lean over to whisper the answer into his ear with the hope that he wouldn't repeat it loud enough for his nephew to hear... Or that he'd start to call her by that name instead. She'd give a hand gesture across her neck to help make it a little clearer that it wasn't something she wanted repeated in a very Saiyan-like way.
Kabe seemed a little stumped on how to answer her asking about what he'd called her here for that was so important-- Though Bee's little transformation helped remind him even if she gave him quite the look for his kid doing such a transformation in the first place, as if to ask Kabe unspokenly where Bee had learnt that from. The important news in all fairness was important even if she knew it already so she couldn't be too mad at Kabe especially since how was he to know that she already knew? "I was called in to help but its not a pointless warning, the others there that I met that had it too though were all pretty level headed-- And the other one that wasn't is dead now..." She paused for a moment and closed her eyes as if the memory of it hurt to think about. "Are there others outside of those ones you know about? Is there something about the form you know that I don't?" Did the form itself make people ticking timebombs? She didn't quite get that bit and if there were others who were anything like Lottus she hadn't met them herself yet.
Zhalla's ginger tail would twitch at the pirate saying it was good to see her-- It was still a little strange to hear coming from him but she'd eventually sigh and let her guard down at least enough to say back "It's good to see you too Kabe" Good timing if she was looking for work though? She had only just gotten home! Work was always good though she supposed so she'd listen as Vocado explained a little further. "Depends on the people and the land I suppose, Earth could use a different leadership for one if you asked me anyway. I used to live there myself but well, not anymore." It wasn't really her thing per say to steal land or help others steal it though but she was alright at the kicking the shit out of people part. If it were for a good cause and a good pay then she supposed she could maybe provide some help especially if it was family asking, right? "Do you know how long?" She had some plans with Nero too after all so an idea of how long this might take was needed.
Kabe leaning over to whisper to her made her stiffen though and her tail fur stood on end at hearing what he'd said to her. That's right, Nero had mentioned to her that he'd told Kabe during their tournament round about the proposal. She'd almost forgotten about it and she wished Kabe HAD forgotten about it but clearly not. "Kabe!" She'd hiss as she attempted a heavy stomp on his foot with one of her spiked boots, her face flushing a bright red colour. "We can talk about that later but only if you shut up about it now!" Not really a promise she wanted to make or keep but she didn't want to be further flustered in front of Kabe's Uncle either.
Bee's ability to shapeshift was... Certainly new. Uncanny, too. Vocado gave a disgusted look, but hid it soon enough that he was pretty sure nobody would notice. Even so, he gave the little bug-boy a once-over, his disgust turning to ingenuity. "Y'know, we could use that for something. Mind if we talk shop later?"
Suddenly, zhalla whispered something in his ear. A name. Curious, and indeed, one he was pretty sure he might've seen before. Not highlighted or lambasted, but simply there. It was funny just how connected the world really was. Or he supposed in this case, the galaxy.
"I'm surprised you aren't aware of the danger of the form." He gave 'Zhalla' a quizzical look at her comment. How had she awoken the form, if not through immense turmoil? "When I transformed, it felt... Insane. Unreal. Like I was swimming in a pool of emotion watching my body move on its own. It took me a bit to catch myself and stop the fight, and thankfully I was in a controlled environment at the time. The whole point of my sparring session was to push me to my limit, so my partner was ready for... Unforeseen consequences."
He kept it vague, keen on not mentioning Cato and her ascension. Even if he kept the number from its true seven down to six, it was still a number in the pocket. Unless Cato was out there telling the public, he could keep their ace in the hole just a bit longer.
"It feels great to use once you've got a handle on it, but until then, it can be a bit unnerving just how good it feels." He looked away for a moment. "It's like activating Oozaru if you'd never even heard of the form before, but multiply that rage by a thousand. Seriously intense."
Saying that while BEING in a Super Saiyan state felt almost like a joke, but he had already gone to lengths to understand the form. It wasn't perfect by any means, and, now that he was thinking about it, the form was actually starting to make him sweat a bit...
Shaking, he let his hair fall back, returning to its black hue along with his dull brown eyes.
"Hard to keep up for a long time too, I guess."
In the few moments he'd spent powering down, he missed some vital conversation piece Kabe and Zhalla had. Something about marriage? Whatever the case, he decided not to pry, instead focusing on the job at hand.
"Well, I was only gonna spill the beans to Kabe, but since you mention Earth... That's... Kinda exactly where we're headed."
Scratching his head, he partially wondered to himself just how much he should divulge. Kabe was a trusted friend, but Zhalla was a literal stranger. Blood or no, he was worried if this might blow up in his face.
Taking a step back, he placed a hand on his hip, explaining with a bit more sincerity than before.
"I'm not gonna bullshit either of you. We're all Saiyans here, and whether by blood or by law, we're family. I wanna take over Earth, and Taori's all-in on the idea. If I can't get you two involved, I would at least ask that neither of you join the other side."
Punching his hand into his fist, he took on a serious expression. "Earth's in a bad way anyways, and I owe Derry some payback after he tried meddling in Plant politics half a year ago. The Kingdom's gonna start making moves soon anyways, so why not start with a planet that's corrupt?"

Kabe giggled, catching it in his mouth as he felt a sharp rush of air, Zhalla's boot striking down with force, spikes scratching through his jeans and sticking his legs as she went flush with embarassment — exactly the response he'd been trying to goad. As the pain settled, his breathing still sharp, he grinned at her saying they'd talk about it later. He couldn't wait to pry for the details and bully her, out of affection of course, as much as saiyanly possible. As that happened, Bee twisted his face to Vocado's own and nodded in agreement to talking shop later.
Then, Kabe listened intently as Vocado divulged his plan. Take over earth? It was a bold move, and a spectacular one at that. The kind of thing you do to send a message to the universe that you're not to be fucked with. Kabe didn't normally jump at the chance to get involved in a war. He'd privateered before, and come to resent his company in the pirating world, knowing that this kind of work attracted vultures, eager to pick the bones clean from already war-ravaged homes, with nobody able or willing to defend them.
But for Vocado, he could make an exception. And Vocado was right; they did owe Derry payback, and he was a fascist despot that needed to be knocked down a few pegs in Kabe's opinion. He grinned. "Why not? I was thinking about pillaging Earth sometime soon, just to rack the bounty up a bit. Might as well make some coin in the process." Then, his face dropped to something more serious. "So I'm down, but let's settle terms: I'm a pirate but I'm not some amoral monster. I don't pick fights with people who can't fight back. Doesn't have to be any chance they can win, but I like to avoid killing helpless bystanders unless there is real purpose to it. And I don't kill kids, doesn't matter the circumstance. Can you work around that?"
Kabe was eager too to see Zhalla's take on it. Not once in their entire career had they both been offered the same job opportunity. He recalled once or twice that she had said it would be a warm day on arcose if they ever worked together, or something to that effect. He suppressed a small laugh, thinking on the twists and turns their friendship had taken to lead them here.
"What danger?" Zhalla returned Vocado's quizzical look with one of her own raising her scarred eyebrow again, did he know something about the form that she didn't know about yet? She listened as he explained how he felt when he first transformed, sure enough it was quite different from her experience. "So you got it during a sparring session then? I uh" She paused for a moment to think about how to explain how she got hers, "When I transformed I felt like I could fly!-- Which I can't do normally, usually I get that swimming pool of emotion thing you mentioned whenever I'm in Oozaru or Wrathful, I don't have much control of them but this one is different" She'd put a hand to her chin in thought for a moment before adding "Though I don't have great control over the flight yet" Or the tears that came with transforming into Super but they didn't need to know that part-- Or how she got it if she could avoid it. "Maybe how it's gotten effects your control in some way?" She shrugged.
Zhalla looked a little horrified at Vocado's mention of how Super was like activating Oozaru-- She'd never had good experiences with that one so she certainly didn't agree but maybe Kabe would understand it better? What she did understand though was that it was a bit exhausting keeping up the form for long periods of time, though it wasn't the reason she was looking dishevelled it did contribute to it.
Thankfully Kabe did seem to drop the subject once she said they could talk about it later though his giggle didn't go unmissed and she'd shoot him a look knowing full well some of the stuff he was going to say later when they had that conversation. He could be really evil when he wanted to be!
Then came Vocado's explanation of the gig he had in mind for them. Like Kabe she listened intently though maybe not as eager as Kabe was about it. He was straight to the point in that he wanted to take over Earth and even Taori, the King of Plant's Saiyans was in on it apparently which made her frown slightly in response though she would continue to listen to the plan. Derry meddling in Plant politics was news to her though but it did get her thinking, had what she'd done counted as meddling in Plant's politics as well? What had Derry done that was considered as meddling?
Kabe seemed interested in the idea and was already on board but he laid out his conditions for it as well in that he wouldn't pick fights with people who couldn't fight back, didn't like killing helpless bystanders or children which of course earnt her respect. This would be their first chance to really work together for once too rather then against each other like they had been for what felt like a lifetime at this point. There were some things she needed to be sure of first before she could say yes to being on board with anything though. "Look I agree Earth's in a bad way right now, but what'd Derry do to meddle with Plant politics? Did I just meddle in Plant politics when I showed up to stop the planet from being destroyed? How do I know you won't have Namek next on your list after Earth?" She would take a few steps towards Vocado with a firm stance to her posture and a stern look on her face as she towered over the other Saiyan.
His part about starting with a planet that was corrupt suggested to her that the Kingdom had more on their mind then just Earth and if Namek was on there she had a chance here and now to stop the plans before they got too big for their boots. "How can I trust that you and that King of yours won't turn on Namek afterwards, I thought the King had enough problems on Plant already as it is with other Saiyans trying to blow it up, are you sure this is wise?" She had seen Taori protect Plant with his life though and didn't think of him as a bad leader by any means, maybe he could benefit Earth but she needed to be sure. Vocado's answers would be the deciding factor on whether she potentially joined her family in the Kingdom's efforts to take over Earth or if she would instead throw down with him right here and now.

Zhalla’s explanation of Super Saiyan was equal parts mysterious and illuminating. It revealed that, not only did the form have multiple ways to trigger it, but perhaps someone’s personality had a severe effect on the way it felt to use.
Vocado pondered the ramifications of the revelation, but stowed the idea away for later at Kabe’s terms. Raising a brow, he shook his head.
”Uh, I mean we’re not looking to genocide the place. A victory wouldn’t really be worth much if we tore up everything. My plan of attack is still early days, but the intent was to have ground troops not use Oozaru due to the weakness of their military. Prohibiting access to Oozaru or forms equal or above it to trusted individuals only will limit collateral damage immensely. After we seize the castle, I doubt we’ll have much trouble finalizing a seizure of the city with very little force..”
It was a bit of a risk explaining details for a plan not yet finalized, but he trusted that his nephew and supposed niece would understand that he didn’t yet have all the answers.
”What I mean to say is, we’re looking for a fight. Not a bloodbath. Don’t really see a point in calling ourselves a ‘warrior race’ if we’re not fighting fellow warriors, yknow?”
As for Zhalla’s concerns…
Vocado was genuinely surprised by her sudden line of questioning. He should’ve thought about why Zhalla would’ve been here a bit harder. Of course she lived on Namek! Despite his annoyance, he kept a cool head, giving the girl little more than a stern expression.
”Valid concerns, I suppose, but to be blunt… Namek didn’t even hit our radar as a foe.”
He stepped up to her, matching her tough pose. He’d stared down plenty a tall Saiyan before, and usually, they ended up floored right after.
”Farmland as far as the eye can see, over half of your population dedicated to spiritualism? Not exactly a fight worth pursuing. We’d bowl you over in a second. No offense, but the stories I’ve read about your defenses of Namek against demons and magicians don’t exactly inspire fear.”
Suddenly, his tone and gaze softened.
”Which is part of why I’m here. To offer an alliance of sorts. Nero’s the guy who runs this place, right? I was gonna see if perhaps he’d be amicable to opening an official trade channel between our planets. Perhaps have Saiyans not interested in wartime efforts offer their services as guardsman for trade shuttles or passenger crafts.”
Though it wasn’t entirely true, he did have interest in an alliance with Namek. Their bountiful natural resources made them an excellent trading partner. If they did claim this place one day, it would certainly be a hard period of transition for the populace.
”As for what Derry did, it’s… Well, let’s just say if you tried what he tried, we wouldn’t be talking casually right now.”
Other than that vague allusion, he kept his mention of Derry very little. The less people who could scrutinize the truth of the matter, the better.
