Kabe could see where this was going. He knew both of these people very well. He knew that Zhalla would do anything, anything she had to, to ensure Namek's safety. And even though Vocado's words were trying to spell out that Namek wasn't something he'd be interested in conquering, he could see how it might be read as him saying Namek would be easy pickings and only wasn't on the menu because it didn't have anything he wanted right now.

His uncle was putting his foot in his mouth, and if Kabe didn't say anything he might have Zhalla's foot upside his head. Kabe moved a little in between them. He looked to Zhalla first. "I wouldn't call you defending the planet meddling in politics, that's just getting shit done that needs doing. I wouldn't overthink it, and I'm sure that the King probably isn't overthinking it either." Kabe's head then cocked towards his uncle.

"You're my uncle. I'm on your side, I want to help you tackle earth and shove it to Derry, don't mistake that. But if you or your King come for Namek, you'll have to go through me. This place has been good to me, and it's people have been too." He did his best not to make it sound like an accusation or a threat, especially with Vocado talking about making some kind of deal or alliance with Nero.

He looked between the both of them. He hoped that showing he would back Zhalla if this turned sour for Namek would help to settle the edge she was riding and that making clear his position would make his uncle think twice before scheming against the planet they stood on.

"Now, we're all family, and I think we're settled on rocking this Namek boat, right?" Kabe eyed the both of them, trying to curtail any remaining threat of a throwdown. He thought his best chance of that was to roll the conversation forward. "So let's talk shop. I'm sure we'd like to know what it is you have planned for your hired muscle in this whole plot. Right cuz?" he eyed Zhalla one last time, a silent exchange of knowing he had her back and that she should at least hear this out.
