The last time Megis had been to the Lookout, he had fought back an attempt to fix the structure, and now here he was to do just that. Although Megis had never seen the Lookout before it's destruction, he still felt a connection to it. He first felt it's magic when he had flown through the wreckage with that Heran Erbia, and since then he had flown though a dozen more times. He felt stronger here than anywhere else, and more confident too. He could think of no place better than to stage his campaign against Derry.
He had only fought against Glainne so that he might restore things himself. Now he felt he had the power to do that... as long as no one tried to stop him. It was more than just the magic of the Lookout that spoke to Megis though, it was the symbolism too. This was once the home of Earth's own guardian. Where they were now he wasn't sure, but they didn't seem to have stuck around. If he could return it to it's rightful state then it could send a powerful message to the people of Earth.
Things wouldn't be exactly the same however, as he had decided not to rebuild the tower which once lay below; this was to be his Lookout, and no tower would mean no strangers attempting to climb. The stone left from the tower would be used to help fill in the gaps on the Lookout where needed, and any surplus he could keep around for additional future structures.
With his vision in mind Megis ascended to the center of the Lookout; the eye of the rocky storm which lay above the clouds. He expected that once the process begin, his power would become easily detected by those nearby. Who might show up he couldn't say, but hopefully they could be reasoned with. His body began to shake as his power expanded, with wisps of lightning crackling from his body. He chanted in a deep forgotten tongue, and soon the stone graveyard around him would began to shift, whirling around him and taking a familiar shape. The process had begun.
