Parasites [Split]

After quickly departing from the main event, Yatapi scanned the best route through the threatened city of Hatchi to assess the current damages while approaching the scene that Nasu had informed him about. Sadly, Nasu didn’t exactly have all of the information but Yatapi couldn’t blame him, he had something else to focus on.

Swerving, ducking and diving around rubble, Yatapi checked for signs of anyone that remained... Or rather, their remains. Indeed, there were a few, but not enough to cause much of an issue to Yatapi. As far as he was aware the evacuation that happened earlier was quite substantial. A huge purple explosion tore into the sky and a section of the city in the direction that Yatapi was heading.

Deciding that there was little use in this cursory information gathering, Yatapi rocketed off towards this fight.

Yatapi situated himself atop a fallen building close enough to get a read on what was going on here. He saw the ragged, bleeding and beaten up Oozaru form of a Saiyan— one of King Taori’s soldiers no doubt as Nasu said, the Earthling woman from earlier and... Some thing that the scientist had no real words for. What the hell was that? It reeked of mad-scientist monster-creation from top to bottom, that alone was enough to get Yatapi angry.

Furthermore what the hell was it talking about? It’s kill? Its flesh, its blood?

Hunger?

Food?

No. What Yatapi heard was abhorrent, and that Earthling was okay with it? Yatapi’s composure slipped as he saw a grotesque vision, of someone, of people being consumed before him by this freak of nature in the same way Destron would consume with a ceaseless destructive hunger. Destron was a curse that ruined too much, and Yatapi wasn’t going to let something close to it happen again. All of these distasteful, reprehensible insults to the marvels of science... He hated them.

In a moment of instinct, Yatapi’s body moved too quickly for his rationale to catch up. His nanomachines went into high alert and reverberated with intense energy as he rocketed forward to stand in front of the injured Saiyan, lifting a hand above him to create an array of defensive projections against the attacks of the other two— it held well, with a smidge of energy to spare too. “Enough. No more.” Yatapi spoke coldly, narrowing his eyes at the two of them.

For the ravenous creature in particular, Yatapi’s gaze was full of hatred, as was his voice. “Y̡̨o̸̵ù.̸̧̕͢͢” He raised a hand towards the entity as a series of lights heralded the conjuration of a fierce deadly arm cannon with the head of a dragon. The maw of this cannon opened wide as energy cascaded through and out of it. “D́̕i̸͢҉͡s̨͜͞a͏̴̕p̵͢҉̶͢p̵̶͢e̸͜҉a̡͘͠͡r̴̛͢͜͠.̵̧”. He snarled maliciously, opening fire with the intent to erase the creature completely.

The Oozaru grumbled deliriously behind Yatapi— it was clear enough that this individual was likely knocking on death’s door. At any point, if Yatapi slipped up, that door would open for them. Luckily, the Tuffle was not intending to slip up.

Yatapi’s gaze was trained on the freakish monster that he had just bombed with a great deal of the power that he possessed. It had decided to put up a fight, how troublesome. The Oozaru had lurched forward at the Earthling woman and chomped down on her just within Yatapi’s peripheral vision. The Tuffle made no motion to put a stop to that for two reasons. Firstly, given how she had spoken, she had it coming as far as Yatapi was concerned— it was karma. Secondly... Well, he heard her let out a shrill cry of terror, confusion and pain as her legs flopped to the ground without the rest of her attached to them. She was alive, at least. Good enough for Yatapi.

Then, the thing spoke, earning a hiss of hatred from Yatapi. “None other than myself shall choose who is my enemy, least of all a monster like you.” It almost made Yatapi sick to see this creature and know that it existed. “I loathe to repeat myself, but if the lot of you are stupid enough to warrant it, I said no more. This fight is over.” Yatapi raised the hand that had fired the large blast at the creature, the mechanism rebuilding itself into a smaller construct that soon projected a laser whip with some aquatic creature features to it which Yatapi quickly flicked the end at the throat of the Oozaru near him, wanting to take the Saiyan out of the fight and release the woman they had chomped down on.

“Hear me, freak.” Yatapi’s gaze slowly fell back to the rattled monster before him. “You will not consume anyone. If you attempt to do so, you will die by my hand. Do you understand?”

Yatapi took note of where the other two went. The Saiyan fell down a crater and the Earthling landed among some totalled vehicles. It looked as though some craft had emerged to whisk her away. Good, one less thing to worry about.

The Saiyan was in a more precarious situation as nothing had come for him. Yatapi narrowed his eyes at the beast nearby, it was whining, obviously not understanding what Yatapi had just said. Annoying, but the Tuffle supposed this was how it was going to be. With no direct knowledge on this creature, there were only two outcomes. Either they were an incomplete creation with a different intent to what their behavior suggested, or they were made by an utter madman and let loose upon the universe as intended. Given that the track record of his own people was pretty lousy as of late— Destron in particular contributed to such a reputation— Yatapi was more willing to believe the latter.

Unfortunately for the creature, Yatapi’s conclusion was already drawn. “Unfortunate.” He responded coldly. At first he just watched the creature limp away, but before the claw could strike the unconscious Saiyan, Yatapi once again got in the way, holding out a hand that conjured a jet black claw that looked to be made of stone that projected some sort of kinetic barrier. “No more chances.”

Yatapi scoffed, unimpressed and uninterested in the pleading that the creature was making. “Oh? Your creator means nothing to me.” Perhaps whoever created this thing was indeed a madman after all. Who would even choose to make whatever this was? Not only was it an insult to science, it was an insult to life itself to create something so warped and tortured. Yatapi despised ‘living weapons’, unhinged live experimentation and heedless genetic manipulation just as much as he despised Destron Gas. “I do wonder, however... If anything you are saying is attributed to your will— if you have any at all— or your creator’s?”

Once again, Yatapi commanded his nanomachines to create a stone-like guard against the claw meant for the unconscious Saiyan. Afterward, Yatapi’s gaze met what was left of the monster’s. “Have you decided anything for yourself, or was it all decided for you in a test tube?” He questioned with a cruel bite to his voice, remembering how Satsuma mistreated the android surrogate of his daughter Iyokan, treating her like a weapon, a tool.

It was then that Yatapi had an idea. All was not lost, he was sure that he could fix this. Originally he had intended to outright kill this creature, but not anymore... “I know what to do now.” Yatapi clenched his fists activating several nanomachines, turning them into ki powered projectile launchers and fired upon the creature to try and distract it. Simultaneously, he ordered a small amount of nanomachines to create a mobile container around the unconscious Saiyan nearby and propel him out of the city.
