Parasites [Split]

Edamame pounded his chest more and more as his rage swelled within him. He was slowly losing himself in the monstrosity that was the Oozaru, his confidence and gal increased by minute. The great Ape lost sight of the worm after he threw him and in that brief lapse of engagement the Oozaru spiraled.

‘Crispum, brother… I’ve done as you’ve commanded… I’ve graduated top of my class… no other prospect has come close to my strategic prowess… my Saiyan might, my power! I cannot feel you brother, I have not heard from you in months now, but you could not be defeated! Impossible!’
Edamame roared and stumbled about as he was lost in his thoughts.

‘Death for a Saiya-Jin is greatness, that is what you taught me brother… I feel close to it now, closer than ever before, is this what you felt? Where are you?’

“WHERE ARE YOU?!!!!”
The Great Beast roared mightily.

Edamame was lost within the beast, his mind and body felt separate as the Ape stomped through the streets only a few steps. He smashed his fists into a nearby building obliterating it within just a few swings. His tail swung wildly at his back, grazing the remaining structures with ever swipe. Blood, sweat and tears mixed upon Edam’s face and created a mighty concoction that steadily drizzled down to the street.

Pain. The bug latched on once more, this time to the Ape’s leg. It felt like lightning running up his leg. He stomped and stomped in a subconscious attempt to free himself of the sharpness.

“You bring this upon yourself worm! To think that it would come to this, you are pesky, Pest of Hatachi! I swear it, I will squash you and add you to a plate for my servants to mix in with their scraps… GRAAAAAAAHHH!”

Edamame threw his giant arms to his side and a dark purple aura shot up from his feet, up around his body and beyond the tip of his head completely engulfing him in a roaring royal flame. The wreckage in the street, specifically that which was not too heavy in weight, lifted into the air and hovered within Edamame’s aura. Zoki would be lifted and pulled upwards if still latched onto Edam’s leg which would increase the pain of the bite; but the great Oozaru would feel nothing.

“THIS WILL BE A GLORIOUS DISPLAY FOR THE KING! A ROYAL DISPLAY FOR THE SAIYA-JIN KINGDOM!”
Edamame shouted as he charged up the energy around him, his entire form was surrounded by purple ki and its glow grew more and more intense with every passing second.

The city had its moment of peace after the dust settled, nothing had moved after the wave of ki sent everything in its path to its end; except for the insect. Everything within a mile radius was destroyed. Buildings, vehicles, sculptures and inventions of great use to the Tuffle people were all reduced to ash and rubble. At the center of it all knelt a gigantic beast who was still recovering from the huge expenditure.

Edamame was long gone within the mind of the raging Oozaru. It only took a few moments but once the Giant Beast regained his breath the silence was ultimately broken. The Oozaru rose to his feet and roared louder and louder as he beat his chest in triumph, until his senses picked up the insect removing itself from the rubble.

The Ape was tired, his body bled all over, his breath was rapid and so was his heart beat. His chest sounded like a storm in the distance. Edamame slammed his fist into his chest one last time and began his gallup towards the bug, but fell to a knee as he did so out of exhaustion. He roared. His mouth drooled a violent mess, his left eye struggled to remain open, but the beast fought for survival now and he would not let anything take him down.

As Zoki took a deep breath, the aftermath settled, and silence was broken as quickly as it was forged. Edamame fought on, with a roar, coming directly towards the overgrown bug. It was caught off guard, the mighty beast looked half dead, yet here it came again before reality caught up with it.

The beast slumped over, his wounds becoming tangible, he must have been exhausted from such a committed blast, but Zoki bore no pity for the Oozaru. Its meal had been chosen, and it was suffering, now was the time to put it down for good, the parasite let out a hissing laugh at the massive monkey, and it started to make its way towards the fallen foe.

Or, it thought, as a strange figure appeared on the battlefield, A woman, charging down from the main battle, whips thrashing against the bug’s prey. It seemed like their whips were alive, biting at the primate’s flesh. Another meal, perhaps… Either way, Zoki would need to secure his meal soon, lest it falls to another. He trusted the prowess of his opponent, to fend off the new threat. Then… he would strike.

Briefly, it tried to observe the more significant battle, but it was too chaotic, Super Saiyans flying back and forth, sides becoming blurred with the mix of such intense energies. Zoki could only hope they would not show up here.

As her strikes claimed true on the foe before her, Kim watched as the snapped jaws of her whips lashed him about and caused the bleeding monster to recoil back on his back in the gigantic crater he had left in the city. He had attempted to swat away the whippings, but it seemed to be in vain. Whatever hell he had gone through before she showed up had really messed him up. Wherever her supposed allies were, they had done one hell of a job holding him off for as long as they did. Kim herself has situated herself on a rooftop looking down at the beast, but quickly jumped down at the bloodsoaked streets on the edge of the crater, seeing inside the dying beast before her. It was clear he had taken one hell of a beating before she had arrived, and all she did was induce the final strike that really sent him over the edge. The Earthling would retract her whips, the purple ethereal dragon heads would return to her arms, biting down on her forearm to stay still as they laid flat against her, ready to be redeployed at a moment's notice. It was time to get up close and person with the beast. If it had it in him, she had questions for the saiyan. Important questions.

Sliding down the side of the unnatural basin to the side of the beast, gliding her hand across the fur of the massive ape and getting the blood of the beast on her palm, she quickly wiped away the crimson liquid on her skirt, staining the white dusted material with her Saiyan's ichor and jumped her way to the top of the Oozaru, walking briskly across his mighty chest to where his head was, seeing just how beat and messed up he really was. It was no wonder she did any manner of damage to him, the poor guy looked like he had been hit by a multitude of attackers. Hearing him call out for his brother, Kim couldn't help but understand. Even if she hadn't seen her own brothers and sister in so long, her fellow soldiers were her brothers, and she was sure, he was probably calling out for someone important to him...

"It's alright, he will hear your voice again" Kim would say to the dying Oozaru, her hand reaching down to attempt to forcefully remove one of the loose, damaged teeth from the being. "We all see our loved ones once more in the great beyond. The Moon Mother will take your soul to see your ancestors." With this, Kim would make a small prayer to her god for her enemy, unaware of the other goings-on in the nearby area, her entire focus on the dying beast before her. If she succeeded in taking one of the tooth chippings, she would place it softly in her hip pouch next to her firearm with her trophy case, another piece to confirm her fights. "Tell me before you die, Saiyan. What is your name?" she would ask, hoping to maybe get his name in his dying breath before he could succumb to the cold exit of reality.
