TAORI'S PL: 91,000 | ALPINIA'S PL: 2,000 |
ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: None |
Now that almost exactly a month had passed since Taori first had regained control of the Saiyan Throne, he felt he was managing to ease back into the position fairly well. The paperwork and politics still weren't anything he was too fond of, but he did enjoy feeling like he was able to contribute to the betterment of the Saiyans, as well as Plant. While others may have recently begun writing off the planet as a lost cause, he hardly felt the same way. It was just going to take some effort to begin fixing back up now that it was no longer in a constant state of war, was all.
He'd been pondering some ways to tackle this, when Alpinia had suggested he host a public forum.
"It'd be a great way to hear from the people themselves and start working with them to help solve issues!" she had explained, and while Taori mostly preferred staying out of the spotlight, as far as Kings went, he did know it was probably a good idea for him to not remain a total hermit from his own people.
So, the central square in Sadala had been cleared out and prepared for an open, public forum, complete with a small stage and podium for Taori to stand up at to address the Saiyan people. The event's occurrence had been broadcast wide across the planet a few days earlier, so even a handful of Tuffles had shown up, though they were getting some dodgy looks from a few of the Saiyans that had gathered. Tensions weren't high anymore, but that didn't mean they no longer existed at all.
Once a large enough crowd had gathered, Taori took a deep breath, and stepped up to the podium, garbed in his typical battle armor alongside the ornate cape that was customary clothing among high Saiyan nobility, which he technically qualified as, now.
"Good afternoon, everyone," he began, with Alpinia standing just behind him. "As I'm sure many of you know, I've called this forum together today because I want to hear from you all, directly. We've had our fair share of struggles, recently, even with the war having come to an end, and while there's a lot to tackle, I'd like to hear from you all directly what's most important for us to be focusing our efforts on. So... Feel free to speak up, anyone." Taori hadn't exactly rehearsed or planned any speeches for this, since he didn't expect to be doing most of the talking, here. Hopefully they'd get some useful suggestions or comments out of this thing...
