The oceans were different here, this far north. The wind-stricken waters of southern Earth seemed a far cry from where she was now, gently lapping lukewarm waves replaced by a darkened sheet of violent tides. Even Marrow's advanced physicality felt a pang of discomfort at the sheer cold of the ocean here, howling winds doing little to warm her back up.
"You aren't here for a biome comparison." The sharp and commanding voice of Eris rang through her head, Marrow's eyes closing as she obeyed the unspoken order without question. Today, their goal was Battle Island, a retired hybrid-naval ship of a grandiose size that now sat happily in a mostly submerged state off the northern coast.
At one point in the not-so-distant past, it served as an unofficial official arena of sorts for those with power to test their mettle, but the passing of the Central City Accords had dampened the visible activity there immensely.
It was challenging to police a slab of metal so far off the mainland, especially when those left behind adapted to hiding their actions very well. Indeed, many enhanced fighters still called Battle Island their home alongside an excellent place to train - away from the prying eyes of the government and free from immediate persecution. "Which also leaves them vulnerable."
Marrow touched down upon the edge of the battleship, multicolored hair blowing wildly in the breeze as she scanned the area. It was... quiet. As one would expect of a cheeky illegal operation amid the night. The moon shone strongly overhead, bathing the upper deck in a silvery glow just bright enough to see within the shadows, outside the range of the dimmed spotlights.
A late night on a Monday was picked for the operation: fewer fighters, likely no civilians, and a delayed response time from any potential interruptions. Their goal here tonight was twofold... "Destroy this silly little outpost and any of the warriors who try to stop you, and?" It was time to test Eris' creation. A bomb. A fusion between magic and tech, sitting as a dormant half-sphere in her arms.
"Arm it in the center. Maximize the damage." Marrow took a deep breath, eyelids fluttering shut for but a moment. When they opened again, the teenager's eyes were a brilliant gold. She wasn't going to start trouble... just yet, but her full power would definitely be needed.
It wasn't that difficult to slip into the ship's bowels, brushing past and around any other wayward souls awake at this hour with little more than a curious glance. The reinforced energy-infused bulwark doors were a bit more difficult to get through - especially when she was trying to AVOID attention for now - but a corrosive splash of inky Ki ate through the material over the span of a few tense minutes. "Twist the core counter-clockwise twice, pull it up, then utilize the built-in spikes to attach it to the ship itself."
Marrow did as Eris said, kneeling next to an old, inactive engine as she contemplated the decision. What she was doing was, objectively, wrong. It involved mass destruction and murder. Did she feel bad about any of it? *Plunk!* Like an eager spider, the bomb stuck to the side of the engine, a low pulsating thrum emanating from it as a wave of energy washed over her. ...Wait, she could sense it. "Ah. A potential oversight." Marrow stared at the device for a moment before sighing, turning to pull up her skull-patterned facemask. As expected, one of the nearby fighters had sensed the sudden energy of the bomb and came to investigate. Needless to say, a quick look at Marrow as the clearly malicious contraption was more than enough, the Earthling springing forward with a battle cry.
Marrow side-stepped the attempt with ease, a liquid blade quickly slashing the man across his throat, causing him to crumple against the ground in a near-silent wheeze. The girl assessed the situation, pausing to cover the bomb and the entire engine room in a sticky flood of inky Ki that would dampen any attempt to enter or destroy her device. No longer operating under stealth, Marrow jettisoned herself up through the floor and up to the ship's top, basking in the moonlight once more as a slight stirring of mixed fighters was aroused from their rest. Five individuals, insignificant in their power, surrounded her quickly and took on combative stances. "V-villain! You won't-" Interrupting the speech with a lance of ink, the speaker coughed up a spurt of blood as they found themselves impaled on its' end. Flinging them aside without much of a care, Marrow glanced at the remaining Earthlings with a disinterested gaze.
"You'd best be prepared for more serious resistance soon, if the energy radiating off of our payload is anything to go by..."

Thread PL: 31,000 | ANTISENSE is always on
PL: 155,000 (x5 active) | KP: 6/6 | MP: 1/6 (+1) | DMG: 0% | TWC: 802
**NOTES: Marrow planted an explosive device within the core of the massive ship that is Battle Island. Due to [REDACTED] plot reasons, this can be sensed by those with sensing / a scouter as not-so-good likely to explode source of energy.
She intends to destroy the place herself if the device is disabled at any point. Alongside destroying Battle Island as it stands, Marrow intends to destroy a whole bunch of NPC fighters alongside it in addition to the few she's stabbing already.
As it stands there are EXCEEDINGLY FEW (if any) non-fighters on board both due to the accords and necessity for civilian workers (at the current setting) to be at a low
Setting is LATE NIGHT, clear skies, almost full moon, and just after the weekend
