The wars of mortals were such an absurd past time that even three centuries further would still leave Ward baffled by how often they took place. One side pushed, the other pushed back, and by the time the clear waters were as red as the blood in human veins neither could trace where it all started. It was all about fighting, killing, taking, with more willing to fill Otherworld than put down their weapons. One side always claimed a moral high ground over the other, spitting words of demanded peace from their erected borders, fanning the flames until one side stood on the backs of another and to the winner goes the only true spoils of war; writing their righteous side for history to know no better of.
Ward's position above the battlefield was nothing more than a closer view that many Shinjin before him took, watching the mortal squabbles, but few got their hands dirty let alone bloodied. Friends stood across from each other, strangers hurled insults and energy blasts, it was overwhelming to the senses. How could balance ever be achieved through such actions as these.
So many had found their targets such as the Saiyan and Tuffle army charging into each other with both leaders now out on the battlefield and on a collision course with one another. Even the stronger warriors were facing off with each other, but most were no more familiar than the soldiers running below to Ward. Azoth in the distance, Cheri in what looked to be a large mechanical suit, Dark who looked to be facing off with a strange creature along with another he had never seen, and Taori below. Everyone else here, with or against Taori were strangers that Ward had no connection or care for anymore than the dirt they ran on. It was a strange feeling seeing so much violence, all the fighting, and having no feeling other than curiosity and the nerves of knowing he would be getting involved one way or another soon.
That soon came rushing in as three different warriors looked to target Taori for reasons he was clueless on, but he was here to protect and to see this war come to an end and nothing else. In an instant as the three separate techniques were fired Ward left the sky and was standing in front of Taori no more than a few feet, hands clasped behind his back as he was ready to intercept each. One after another it seemed fate intervened as a strange looking created moved to attack and repel one attack, then another just as quickly by what looked to be a Saiyan he remembered feeling the energy of once before, but couldn't recall ever having seen.
The last of the energy attacks came ever closer, but Ward didn't seem to be focusing on it as much as the other two, even as it was casting a shadow behind him. No more than a few feet away now and Ward simply turned to look at Taori, paying no mind to the attack that looked to connect before he would have time to turn back and react, but less than the length of his extended arm away the attack looked not to hit something as much as simply vanish, almost absorbed. Turning back as his eyes scanned for the origin, a shimmering in front of Ward began to appear and glow until there was a full formed mirror, pulsing with the color of the energy that had struck it.
The surface began to shake more like water than a solid mirror, as two hands appeared, gripping the sides of the mirror as it pulled itself free, now showing a fully formed copy of the techniques origin, Zerori. Much like the original it glowed with a dark red energy, holding out their hand creating the exact same attack fired towards Taori just moments earlier. Stepping forward they heaved it with clear effort, mimicking the same movements Zerori had made as now their own attack was flying back toward them, as the clone fizzled away same as the mirror, leaving only Ward once more.
