Hunting Monkeys

Huh.

Well, she admittedly didn't see that coming. Honestly, Kanna was convinced that there was no way he could possibly dodge that attack, especially seeing as it was one of her strongest yet. However, to see him manage to dodge it so instantly and also counter it, sending her sprawling upon the floor, it was honestly really impressive. Simultaneously, both insulting and impressive, there was one thought in her head now. She really needed to have him join her some how. "You're strong. I really like you. You should work for me." Kanna said, giving him a smirk before she was sent barreling backwards. She could feel her freshly healed ribs groan, although by now the pain was dulled from all the adrenaline running through her undead body.

As much as she wanted to continue this one-on-one fight with Sesame, it was a little bit more difficult when she had a little fly buzzing around her making it difficult. From the corner of her eye, she had already spotted him rushing in with his sword, ready to cut her in half. Honestly, from what she could see his swordsmanship was pretty good as well, although nothing in comparison to the demon she was fighting. Because of this, she didn't really do much to dodge out of the sword's path, only bringing up her arm as a means to defend against the hit.

The sword bit into her forearm, although it didn't slice too deeply. Seeing as the blood within her body was not working properly either, the cut itself did not ooze much blood. As such, Kanna was able to shake off the wound and hop back upwards. "Nice cut, although you should put more effort behind it if you want it to do some damage." Honestly though, she had her fun now, and they were all at a stalemate so why not just speak her mind. 

"This was fun, but let's be real, you're not really going to get anything from me. I'm not the one you're after and I'm not going to beat you, so let's call it quits. You could try to turn me in, but trust me, I doubt you're going to get the results you're after. I'll give you the true body of whatever his name is, and you get your money. I just wanted to have a bit of fun and maybe a crew. Doesn't seem like it's going to happen." Whilst in her past life she would find herself hard-pressed to surrender, Kanna knew by now that this body simply didn't have the strength to back up her previous actions. It would be easier to give up whilst she was still ahead, especially since she didn't want to screw up her second chances. As if on cue, a nearby branch began to float, drawing a makeshift map on the ground, detailing the location of the true Paruslei. Not like a dead man was useful for her anyways. "It was nice fighting with you, but I know when to give up. We all get to keep your lives, you can keep your weird sword thing, and you even get your money. Cool?" Slowly, she took a few steps back, shadow swords dismissing into the air, although Kanna kept a hold of her power. Whilst she was not one to go back on a bargain yet, she still needed means to defend herself after all. 

    "How is this possible? How is her body not bleeding from that? Is this Konatsian body also dead? If so, what the Hell is inside it?"

    While the Himônus remained distracted, the creature hopped back up in the air and taunted him. His reply was immediate.

    "Just you wait, you abomination. I'll show you my effort soon enough."

    The monster had not ended her speech, though, and rambled about how much fun she had had, but that it was time to end that fruitless fight. She would point out the location of Paruslei' body as long as the bounty hunters would let her leave. Once more, the fiend spoke of wanting a crew, which began touching on Maxsuz' nerves.

    "Huh, you don't actually think we're going to buy that bunch of lies you're spitting, right? No one will be following your psychotic ass anytime soon. Not even your appearance can be trusted. Let alone your word. We have the upper hand in this battle. This is why you want to give up now. You realized it."

    The Argin's expectation was subverted, however, when his opponent used her magic to draw a map on the sand that would supposedly lead the to Paruslei's body. Or was it? As far as the mercenary knew, that drawing could lead him and his demons partner to a random location, allowing the impostor to escape, or it could be trap.

    While his ally seemed easy to comply with that offer, the Renegade was much more suspicious of it.

    "You're being too forgiving for someone in this line of work, Sesame. This whole time, that thing has given us every possible evidence not to trust it. Even in the way it fights, it shows mischievousness and a tendency for foul play. We have no reason to believe this map will take us to the Saiyan sergeant, nor that it won't use that opportunity to stab us in the back. I understand now you were hiding your true power this entire time, but that won't be of much use if you get caught off guard. I propose the creature personally guides to the body. Then, we shall choose what to do with it."

Kanna - Sesame

Sesame glanced at Maxsuz. He seemed confused at her state. Why didn't she bleed? A fair question to ask he didn’t even have the exact answer. But he has at least some clue on why. “She is a shadow creature.” Sesame glanced, narrowing his eyes. “They don’t bleed like you or me.” Indeed, if that was the case would she even have blood. Sure the body she was in had blood but she had been using that as a puppet. It Probably dried up a long time ago. Anyway, the demon claimed afterwards that the fight could have kept going but where was the fun in that. She would show even more power in their next encounter. He just grunted, he didn’t wanna debate if she was lying or not. If she had more power she would have used it. That was his mindset on the matter. She had clearly been on the losing side if she had some more power she may have wanted to use to keep from actually being defeated. Then again the only reason she was doing so bad was it was a two on one. If he fought her in his current state without powering up it’d be a close call to see who would win.

As for Maxsuz suggestion, Kanna noted that she was not lying and if he thought he was, well maybe he should get that checked up. He did once again somewhat agree with her. If she was lying then they would just kill her. But guess she also could just run off. Which seemed to be her plan as a large sandstorm filled the area. Sesame glanced around seeing her escape but not really having the ability or desire to chase her. Sesame grunted, “She is gone, go find the body. The reward is yours.” Sesame was just trying to make a good relationship with the man. And he assumed he had done just that. He could make some more money later. He would turn off to leave before glancing back once last time. “But advise. You need to train. There are a lot of strong foes like her. And some are a lot stronger.” With that advice granted to Maxsuz Sesame would run off and allow Maxsuz to have the scraps of the bounty.
