Tournament's were a rather common occurrence on Earth, or so they said. Something about the glory of fighting for your martial arts school, or the renown of becoming a world champion. Earthlings seemed obsessed with the concept, so much so that multiple independent factions had already hosted tournaments dozens of times in the last year alone.
This "Saiyagirl Tower" was of particular interest to Vocado. Not because of its name, and certainly not because of its tournament. No, rather a particular entrant on the list. Someone, somewhere, had sent him a data readout of the entries, and one of which was a name he had a direct interest in coming into contact with.
Maxsuz.
An odd name, to be sure, but what name wasn't outside of Saiyan culture. Naming your kid something like "Jean" was about as logical as being born under the moniker Sluug or whatever Namekians called themselves these days.
The tower was large and garish. A monument to... Whatever it was they idolized on this planet. Entry was, surprisingly, rather easy. Even with the commotion of the festivities, he was let in without much incident. Saiyans were commonly known for their fanaticism over combat, so it seemed that an alien warrior in full battle dress was far from uncommon lately.
Vocado was all smiles and thank you's until he passed the main entryway. Pushing through the crowd, he made his way to the upper floors. The tip, whomever sent it, had detailed maps of the tournament grounds, including a route leading directly to something that could only have been a waiting room between matches.
Suppressing his Ki, the Saiyan slipped from hall to hall, being careful to evade the eye of cameras and security. Surprisingly, this too, was lax. Like he was being led here for a reason. Cautious as he was, Vocado made sure he had an escape route just in case, and moved toward the room.
A hiss came from his wrist-guard, as a miniature arm cannon brought itself from within the confines of the plastoid mold. Sidling up to the wall, Vocado approached the door, and waited, his hand hovering on the doorknob. Just what would he find inside?
