Even with the whirlwind of emotions within them, Kronos was still somewhat observant--observant enough to take stock of how overwhelming Tunic's nervousness must have felt. Sure, even the best of times, she was far from being a chatterbox, but the Saiyan found it easy to tell the difference between her being quiet and her being scared. Scared of fucking up again, of him fleeing, of simply being left alone. He didn't have a clue as to permanently ridding her of these worries, but he had a good idea of how deep they went--and knew that she felt more at ease whenever they were closer. Staying by Tunic's side might not have meant much, but if it did anything at all to help, he'd do in strides; consequently, even after Tunic had risen up, Kronos's right arm wrapped around her shoulder.

Their tail excitedly perked up once some resolve found its way into her voice: she was regaining control of her emotions again. Her next few words were going to be important...but Kronos didn't expect them to be something so easy. They couldn't help but laugh at themselves, a relieving, glee-filled chuckle at just how much he cared about her, too. "Oh c'mon, you dork! That'd be like me promising to always be a superhero. I don't need a promise to be honest with my friend, and I'd have to be crazy to not want ya help..."

"...buut. If it makes ya happy," Kronos teased while pretending to be annoyed, "then I promise to let you 'shoulder my burders'. Y'know, which is just sooooo hard when the girl asking is the coolest person in the world." Even with their sarcastic remarks, the Tuffle couldn't hide their admiration for Tunic, grinning in the middle of their jokes. "This promise goes the other way 'round, though. You've got way more problems than I do--let me help you solve them, too! Of course, if you don't, I'll just fix them myself," he said with a sly smile, knowing that their chaotic approach to problem-solving was anathema to Tunic.

Tunic felt a weight both emotional and quite literal lift from her shoulders as eveey muscle that had bound itself into a knot all at once eased. Her posture straightened once more to her more relaxed state, and the sweet sense of ease washed over her. The tension around her eyes ceased, her pensive stare replaced by a softer, kinder look. It all just slipped from her body, every ounce of stress the last few minutes had so quickly amounted to. His words were enough, that promise all she wanted to hear from Kronos after everything that had happened this day. to avoid it happening again.

His tone, the return to that reassuring casualness he liked to uphold, it brought a smile to Tunic's lips. She lowered her hand from his cheek, gingerly taking his own hand and brushing her silk-covered thumb over the palm. "Good, because I was scared." Her voice lowered a little as she said this, still meeting his gaze with her eyes, each shining with an unfettered sincerity. She wanted him to see, see that despite everything she did care for and had no aim to betray that promise, nor her own feelings on how she affected him.

"As for my promise..." Tunic mused, her tone ever so slightly tinged with mirth. Leaning in towards the Saiyan and into the crook of his arm, she whispered into his ear, "My burdens only seem to stop hiding when you are around anyways." The ghosts of her breath brushing over the Saiyan's skin. Pulling back, she leveled her gaze with Kronos' once more and smiled warmly. There was a lot she wanted to say, but Kronos was right... for now. It was a kiss, but given the context for now, that is all it was. There was no reason their prior tone could not be maintained.

"We still have an hour or so before Johnathan arrives to collect me." Tunic glanced briefly to the clock just inside the entrance to the museum before focusing her attention wholly on the Saiyan again. "The tour seems a bust..." Her eyes wander to the hall, the havoc from Kronos' escape still being cleaned up. "And... you are still my escort for this evening.." A sly smile crossed her lips at the mention of this. "So tell me, dear Kronos, what shall we do? I am at your whim." her eyes twinkled with amusement.

Kronos had no idea how to respond to just how much Tunic felt lightened thanks to his efforts, but the hasty look-away combined with his blushing made his feelings clear regardless. For once, however, the teenager found the resolve to ignore their embarrassment and look back at Tunic even while blushing; there was only so many times this would happen before he got a little used to it. "T-thanks. I could totally say the same about you, for the record...dork..."

"Hey!" the Tuffle yelled with a sudden burst of energy, indignantly waving their arms at Tunic. "Who are ya calling 'dear'? That makes me sound like you're my mom! Or like, your freakin' h-husband or something! I mean it's kinda sweet, b-but I'm not a 'dear' or 'sir' or any of that stuff! The only title I need is Teen of Tomorrow," he explained with a half-flustered, half-miffed expression. "What if I started calling ya 'princess Tunic'? Wait, I think you'd like that--ach, you know what I mean!"

With his less-than-eloquent spiel over, he turned his attention to their current conundrum: figuring out what to do next. "Puttin' all that stuff aside, I honestly forgot that we had any tour left like, at all, forget a freaking hour. I've run outta inventions, too, so unless ya wanna spend the rest of the afternoon peering through your own memories, that's probably a no, too..."

A mischievous little grin crept up their face. "Maybe we should ditch the museum to get some food. It's not like I hate it here--well, not anymore--but I was never here for the fossils, but for you! And I don't mean at some fine-dining bar; there's plenty of cool burger spots nearby. Plus... Johnathan would probably get mad me for it!" Kronos added with a small chuckle, seemingly excited at the possibility of annoying her butler. "He's probably preparing a lecture on me being a goofball right now, so I might as well let 'em use it! Whadayya think?"

"You know..." Tunic leans in against Kronos more, the contours of her form matching those of the Saiyan. Her eyes glitter with mischief, eager to match his gaze. "... I kinda like the sound of that." A coy smile curled the young Baskerville's expression into one of playful intent. "My dear knight Kronos and Princess Tunic." unlike before, she grinned as she announced the teasing titles quite loudly. Tunic was having more fun teasing Kronos now, since everything before had cone to a calm and there was room for a more peaceful and playful atmosphere to their afternoon, rather than a dour one.

Tunic hummed happily as Kronos mused through their options, but her quiet song quietly ended and a somber thought came to her mind. "I would like to actually. if that is okay?" She bit her lower lip with trepidation, doing her best to mask her feelings behind a gentle gaze. But, she had to take advantage of this opportunity while it was here, to relive that moment. Once Tunic had the device in hand, she navigated everything to the best of her ability until she saw the familiar screen. She raised her hand to it, to relive it.

[The sun dappled sky over a low hill overlooks the distant cabins around a glittering lake. A pair of tiny hands come into view their pudgy digits grasping at two individuals. A slim woman with teal blue hair hanging down her back, her lithe form steps towards the view, a blissful smile across her lips. Beside her a thin man with an athletic build strides, his darker black hair combed back.]

["Look at her honey! Our little girl is awake." The lithe woman turns to face the man. who nods with a smile. "She's quite the sleeper, you can tell she is mine." He gives a broad grin as the woman leans in, her face taking up half the scene. "Did you sleep well dear? we missed you!"]

As the memory fades into a silent white Tunic sits, her hand raised to the screen. "I miss you too... Mom, Dad." A bittersweet smile crosses her lips and her eyes wet with unspent tears. For a few moments after shorter memories of Tunic's parents fill the output, quiet moments, happy moments, and times she trained with her father. as these all closed and she powered the cube down, she handed it back to Kronos, wiping at her eyes.

"I would very much like to get something to eat now... if you still want." Tunic's smile was a little crooked. the impact of reliving that scene still fresh on her mind.

Their loud, enraged protests over Tunic's teasing were cut short by a look of both surprise and intrigue. His suggestion about the Holocron was an off-hand joke, not something that he thought she'd seriously consider--then again, he wasn't exactly complaining, either. Helping her activate the device, Kronos could swear that Tunic's expression was getting sadder. There wasn't any way to be sure from a glance, but he braced himself for a less-than-stellar memory. Once Tunic's reminiscing was complete, Kronos came to the conclusion that what he had seen was actually happy. In a tragic little twist, that made things even worse--both for Tunic and for Kronos.

For several seconds, Kronos tried to wordlessly console Tunic while also keeping himself in check. Her parents and his couldn't have looked more different, yet the memories may as well have been his; brief, gleeful flashes of their parents from when they were young were about the only things about them he had left. The bittersweet tears rolling down Tunic's face found themselves cut short by Kronos's fingers as he tried to dry her face, for even though there was nothing he could say to take away her sadness, there was plenty he could do to mitigate it...

...and for both of their sakes', the Saiyan decided to be drastic.

Without even the slightest bit of warning, Kronos's warm, surprisingly cuddly tentacles latched themselves unto Tunic's arms, and with a sudden surge of force, the Earthling was now hoisted 3 feet above the ground, hanging in the air like a flag next to the conniving teenager! "Hah! I'm not makin' fun of ya feelings, Tuny--but I gotta keep us from becoming super depressed! Thinking about my parents sucks for me almost as much as it sucks for you...so it's time to think about other stuff! Namely, burgers! And fries! And hangin' out with Tuny! It's kinda impulsive--"

"--but if I thought about what I was doing, I wouldn't do it--even though we both need it!" Kronos explained with a nervous grin. "Off we go, Tuny! We're gonna have a shitton of fun and...and make our parents proud!"

Tunic felt the ground leave from beneath her, just languishing quietly in that bittersweet moment. It was a time she remembered only in bits and pieces usually. "It can be hard to remember my mom's face sometimes. It was not long after my eighth birthday that it became harder and harder for all of us to have moments like that again." Tunic spoke with a gentle voice, a measured fondness in her efforts to push that sadness down for now. to put on a brave face for Kronos and not ruin this evening any more than she had already managed to.

Looking down, Tunic gave the Saiyan a quiet nod, meeting his gaze, a glint of subdued happiness noticeable in her expression. "Food would be nice, I am quite famished." Her voice was regaining composure again, more rapidly than before however. "But I also picked that memory, because I wanted to show them to you. paintings lack the same truth behind their character that an intimate memory has." There was a genuineness to her voice, no longer masked by any sense of sorrow. If anything, it carried a pride concerning her family and her desire to share their personalities and appearance.

Tunic considered the position she was in now, held aloft by Kronos' invention and a sly thought came to mind. Relaxing the best she could against the arms, she nudged them into a bent position, resting on them like a chair and crossed her leg, kicking thr other one as she observed thr world from her new elevation. Looking down on everything that before was simply at eye level. Lifting her palm to her face, a languid and amused smile dominated her expression in this new spot. "Onward!" She announced, pointing towards the exit to the museum.

Even with his concentrated and intentional efforts to distract themself, Kronos couldn't help but wince while Tunic expanded on the memories of her parents. The gentleness in her voice almost made it worse: Kronos knew Tunic enough to guess that it was a facade, her attempt at masking what had to be overwhelming feelings of bitterness...

Yet the teenager marched forward regardless, determined on keeping upbeat no matter how sad Tunic's words might've been. "I'm, uh...it's real nice of ya to show me a memory that close to ya. Combined with you showing off your family's weapons and all, you've been a bit more truthful than I've realized! I promise that when we get the chance, we'll be having talks like this, too--but right now, it's burger time!"

With all the commotion Kronos (and especially their inventions) had caused, it was nothing short of miraculous that they were allowed into the nearby fast-food restaurant at all, but between generous patronage (and the implied threat of his floating tentacle arms), they managed to find a pair of seats. To his credit, the teenager picked a building that was, by burger-joint standards, exceedingly neat, lowering Tunic down unto a comfy, crimson seat with an over-dramatic bow. "Right this way, Princess Tunic," Kronos beckoned with a roll of his eyes.

After rattling off their less-than-healthy order, his attention quickly refocused unto Tunic again. "These places don't take a long time to serve their orders; ya don't need an army of butlers for every second dinner, heh. But on that note...whadayya think of them? Does it ever get weird or do ya, like, see 'em as family? Not that I'm super fond of the big guy, but one of them--Johnathan, right?--does give off 'annoying dad' vibes."

In the middle of their chuckle, he gave a short, slightly sad sigh. "I guess I'm just asking 'cause after my parents...after they died, I didn't really have a lot. Wasn't very fun...so it makes me super happy that ya had your butlers! Even if half of them think I'm a dork," Kronos finished while cheekily sticking his tongue out, remaining positive in spite of the heavy subject matter. Such topics being brought up unmentioned was new for Kronos, too: he had preferred to keep any details about his past tight up until this point.

Reclining in the mechanical arms that help her aloft, Tunic lowered her face to rest on the palm of her hand. The tone was still rather quiet, a palpable tension in the air, but nowhere as severe as it had been prior. Instead, Tunic felt this was for the best to leave the museum itself on. With everything in mind, both of them had learned a lot from this little outing and it was time to unwind and relax. "You do not have to thank me. You are the only person who I feel I can trust with those memories and binds. Everyone else seems too preoccupied with their own worlds... but you spare the time for me." Tunic's voice was soft and reflective as she spoke.

Tunic relished the walk to the restaurant, her elevated position giving her a new perspective on her surroundings however momentary, but all the same is cleared her mind some of the prior tension that had been building. The entry into the establishment went about as well as one could expect, but Tunic couldn't help but smile as Kronos played into the teased roles from earlier. "Why thank you my dear knight Kronos." Tunic purred with a coy smile as she took her seat."

Tunic wanted to make a comment on understanding how restaurants worked, but the second half of Kronos' statement caught her off guard. Tunic took a brief moment to consider her answer carefully. "Johnathan, he is like a grandfather to me more than anything. I never knew my biological grandfather, but all the same Johnathan raised both my father and I." She smiles softly, resting her hand atop Kronos'. "He can be rather protective... he was less so before the accident, so I can understand why." Giving a gently nod, Tunic mused over the others.

"And Merri, she is only about four years older than me. My mother found her during a charity visit to the Central City orphanage." Tunic's hand brushed over the small purse in her lap. "For a variety of reasons they could not adopt her, but Mother hired Merri on as an apprentice maid. Over the course of those ten years since, she has been like a big sister to me."

Wrapping her arms around him in a gentle hug, Tunic smiled softly. "You set an impression all your own. But I am sorry that you spent so long alone like that. it must have been terrible." Her eyes met those of Kronos and sparkled with genuine empathy.

Kronos was severely taken aback by Tunic's embrace: the sudden hugs were his thing, and he didn't look that sad, did he? Yet the feeling of shock was momentary, and soon enough Kronos ended up with a gentle smile, hugging Tunic right back. He held unto her longer than they'd expected--even with how brief his mention of his backstory was, the surge of sorrow accompanying it was unmistakable...and he didn't anticipate how nice it felt to receive a bit of comfort. "'Course I set my own impression, but...thanks for the hug, And thanks for the words. It really, really sucks out here..."

"...but we've got burgers!" the teenager cried in a sudden fit of hyperactivity, begrudgingly letting go of Tunic to tear into his long-awaited food. Kronos all but demolished his plate, devouring their food as if the world would end if he didn't; eating at lightspeed was just another funny quirk of his. "So Johnathan's your friggin' grandfather? Holy hell he's old. I still gotta figure out whatcha see in him, but he definitely seems to care about ya if nothin' else."

Kronos chuckled dryly while finishing the last of their meal. "I don't dislike Johnathan, like, personally or whatever--I just don't like adults." A familiar, roaring energy crept back into Kronos's eyes. "They think that I'm just a useless kid and hate me for being born, but they're the ones who fuck up the world--we end up having to fix it! The best most adults can be is useless. At worst..."

"...yeah, whatever, ya get it," he lazily concluded while rolling their eyes, deciding mid-rant that he'd be angry on another day. "I'm glad Merri's like a sister to ya. Wish I could say the same, because I think she wants to turn me into a mannequin," Kronos joked. "Although she's feisty! Might let her into the Teens' if she becomes slightly less "I-want-to-strangle-Kronos"-y. Sure, she'd probably still dislike me, but...it'd be nice to have people around. Even if they thought I was a dork."

He shifted significantly closer to Tunic, nuzzling his head against hers. "I still think you're a moron for thinking I'm super cool, but I can't say I don't appreciate it. Thanks a ton, dodofus."

Slow and methodical with her bites, Tunic savored the flavor of the burger. It was a meal she often didn't have the opportunity to relish in, and now more than any other instance was worth committing to memory. She couldn't, however, help herself from laughing some at the pace Kronos was eating at. "Saiyans really do have an appetite when left to their own devices, hmm?" A soft grin creased Tunic's lips with this statement, her attention still locked on Kronos with rapt curiosity. Clearing the last few bites of her own meal, she patted the grease from her own face and then from that of the Saiyan.

"Not my actual grandfather, mind you." Tunic accentuates to Kronos' comment. Before she said anything else, however, she listened to the Saiyan's point. "I do not think he dislikes you at all." Leaning forwards Tunic rest her hand on the Saiyan's. "Quite the contrary actually. It is rare he allows me out of his supervision." Looking up, her eyes sought to meet Kronos'. "And he allowed you that privilege." A soft smile crossed her lips, a genuine attempt to help encourage Kronos and try to establish the beginnings of a bridge between the two.

The mention of Merri brought a coy grin to Tunic's lips. "In a way, Merri is just trying to emulate my mother." Tunic smiles softly at that thought before continuing. "She likely would have given you trouble as well... considering you and my father would have gotten along as well as you can with an adult." She mused thoughtfully. "You are too hard on yourself based on how others react initially." Tunic raised her hand to the Saiyan's cheek, tenderly brushing her fingers down his jawline. "If you give them time and patience I am certain you will see a marked difference."

Leaning into the Saiyan's embrace, Tunic left hee hand on Kronos' cheek and lavished in the brief moment of intimacy between the two of them. "There is a great deal to you that you seem to deny as positive traits." Tunic lifted her head once more, gazing up at Kronos. "Your mind, your stubbornness, and with some work I am certain you have the makings of a capable fighter."

It was only as Tunic's hand bristled against their face that Kronos realized just how close they were to Tunic, causing an ever-familiar shade of red to wash over them. Even worse was that, just like before, he found her company impossible to break away from despite how much he thought he wanted to; every time Kronos stared into her eyes too long, his brain ended up short-circuiting. "J-jeez. I've really gotta get used to your whole...complimenting thing. I've never heard someone call me cool 'cause I'm stubborn. But, it's actually kinda nice of--"

"--hey! That last line makes it sound like I'm not super-capable already!" Midway through staring dreamily at the earthling, Kronos realized that Tunic might have indirectly called him an incompetent warrior, an implication that could not stand! "I beat up people twice my size for fun! I survived a fight with the freaking Saiyan Royal Guard! Plus, if I wasn't already awesome," he added with an indignant look away from Tunic, "I wouldn't be able to protect ya from future bad guys, which's why I am! But ya better not think I'm insulting ya, either--you're just as strong as I am without even tryin'!"

Once his odd combination of lectures and praises had concluded, Kronos calmed down a bit, moving back into their original seat. "When ya talk about Johnathan like that, I guess you've got a point. Still a little hard to believe since we haven't had a real conversation yet, though. Don't worry, Tuny--I'll just sneak ya out of the house if need be, heheh!"

"Merri acts like your mom, huh?" he asked with a glance to the side. Tunic's comments about their parents inevitably prompted him to think about his own, even a little. It was difficult to not muse about their personalities given the sword in his hand was (at least partially) a product of it: his mother's fieriness with his dad's ingenuity. "If a squint a little, I can see the similarities between Merri and you...and it's good to hear that ya dad would've liked me." Kronos smiled weakly. "I'll, uh, try to keep it in mind..."

"...and you're harsh on yourself too, ya know? I know you're concerned about the legacy of ya parents and taking care of the estate and stuff, but that doesn't mean ya have to start clamming up or constantly worrying about it. Ya parents probably wanted you to have fun! And...and you matter in general, too! Shiny weapons or no!"

it wasn't until Kronos mentioned it that Tunic realized she had accidentally called the Saiyan weak in a round about way. She felt the laugh slip from her lips before she could stop it and stifled it as soon as it came, the occasional chuckle slipping past regardless. "I did not mean to suggest a total lack of capability. But our last spar made me think you could refine your technique." Tunic hummed in an attempt to patch up that small miscommunication on her part. whether it was necessary or not was moot really.

Shifting her position, Tunic set her cheek to rest on her palm, pondering the Saiyan thoughtfully, she couldn't help the mirth illicited by Kronos, however serious the topic he had managed to keep her in a relatively amused mood the entire evening... and really it was much the same last time as well. "You know, you are right." Tunic was a little surprised st her own words, but nodded to reaffirm her comment. "It can just be difficult at times. Having to find a balance in my everyday outside of what I am expected to do." A soft sigh found itself escaping the lips of the young Baskerville.

"But, you make it easy." Leaning against Kronos Tunic's smile settled once more. "I have no reason to let it all bother me at times like this. I can just be me and find what I enjoy from the moment." Brushing her hand over the Saiyan's she added, "And right now, that is you." Tunic was living in the moment, not letting anything else bother her. But, she was also aware of the time and slipped a mobile from her purse. "Speaking of Johnathan, I should probably let him know where we are." There was a reluctance in her voice, but also a severity in it. "I wouldn't want that growing trust in you to filter, now would I?" Tunic looked up to Kronos with a faux innocence, but a genuine concern. on that matter.

Due to the sheer insistence from Tunic that Kronos was, in fact, worth something, the Saiyan's reaction to her latest compliment was remarkably less cautious; even though he still couldn't help but blush, the look on their face wasn't looking away, but smiling right back at her. "Alright, alright!" he protested in-between a chuckle. "You're so dang mushy, ya know...but I can't say that it isn't a little nice. As for Johnathan..."

His brows creased a little as they took a small sigh, but he remained joyful. "Go ahead and tell 'em, Tuny. Don't get me wrong: if I had my way, we'd return home maybe once a week. But I trust you, and you trust him. So I'll let the old man get their way," Kronos concluded while rolling his eyes, grinning at Tunic all the same. "He did want me to treat ya well, after all."

The Saiyan peeked outside, taking note of the slightly darker sky with a bit of shock. "Huh...how'd so much time pass? I get bored super quick," they said with an embarrassed giggle, "but now, I barely even noticed it. Guess time just flies by when it's with a friend like you, huh?" He gave Tunic a gentle pat on her head, smiling irresistibly at her. "Ya learn something new everyday!"

With that, he went on to pay for their meal, grabbing a bottle of water before straddling back to their seats. "I guess I'll wait along for ya butler to arrive. 'til then, though? I'll stick around. Unless," Kronos teased while shifting towards Tunic again, "ya want me to stay around ya longer? Perhaps in your house?"

"Is that such a bad thing?" Tunic's eyes narrowed as she pouted coyly at the Saiyan. "Maybe I enjoy being a little mushy if the conditions are right." Then lifting herself from her lean, Tunic sat up in her seat and lifted her phone up. "I will give him a quick text then." She hummed, tapping quickly and precisely into the mobile device, sending the text out. There was no real way to tell how long he might take to get there, but it gave the two of them a few more moments alone, at the least, and Tunic was satisfied with that.

The approaching twilight marred the sky in hues of vermillion and purple, fading into the darkest black. "Time flies when one is enjoying themself." She spoke up, looking to the Saiyan. "And I do believe we were quite well entertained this afternoon." There was a playful hum to Tunic's voice, and she lifted her hand to tap Kronos' chin to punctuate her point. Resting her face in her palm, the young Baskerville pondered the events of the day. It had all flown by rather quickly, hadn't it? As unusual as it was, she was quite pleased that was the case.

The all too familiar blue and silver sedan came to a park just beyond the threshold of the establishment, the twinned lily emblem of Tunic's estate emblazoned into the hood. Rising to her feet, Tunic grabbed Kronos' hand to guide him outside. "Come along, at least see me off." A playful purr to her voice as she approached the door. Once outside, Johnathan was already waiting with the rear passenger door open. Tunic then turned to Kronos with a smile. "As dour as a departure is, it is simply that time." Lifting her hand to her chin, she tilted her head to the side and added.

"As for your last question. Merri would throw an absolute tirade. But I will make sure to have you over soon." With a smile on her face, Tunic leaned in once more and quickly, but tenderly brushed her lips over those of the Saiyan. Lingering for only a moment. "Until next time, dear Kronos." Her voice a hum as she slipped into the vehicle and closed the door behind herself. behind the tinted windows the young woman's face was crimson read, shocked at her own audacity to be so bold all on her own.

With lady Tunic secured, Johnathan stepped forward and inclined his head politely to the Saiyan. "Good evening Master Kronos." Glancing back to the car, the old butler made sure Tunic was not listening in. "It appears you did quite well in keeping the lady entertained l, well done." There was a clear appreciation in the older man's voice while addressing Kronos. Standing quiet for a moment Johnathan then nodded and stepped a short distance from the sedan, beckoning the Saiyan to follow him over. Taking a seat on a bench just outside the restaurant.

"If you will, I would like to ask for a debrief of the afternoon's events." He then spoke, his tone more an order than a request. Looking Kronos over, the kksee gentleman gave the Saiyan a sympathetic smile. "I have no intentions to scold, I just wish to know how the lady's first excursion without a staff guide went."

Kronos didn't say much between Tunic's phone call and the arrival of her taxi, yet despite how odd that was for the Saiyan, he barely seemed to mind. A part of this could've been attributed to the fact that they had been talking all day, sure, but Kronos wasn't the type to get tired. In-between his raucous laughter at Tunic's jokes, rolling his eyes at her insistence on mushiness and the bittersweet smile he gave as she departed, he just seemed content. Not necessarily always happy, but calmer in a subtle, yet hard-to-mistake fashion. Even if she couldn't flip his personality over night, Tunic had managed to be a person he could be at ease around. "Heh...right on, Princess Tunic. I'll see ya real soon!"

He almost didn't notice Johnathan coming out to the car, but didn't seem too bothered once they had; Kronos was still wary, but a tad bit more accepting. "Entertained, huh? That's a way to say it...yes, I made sure she wasn't bored or whatever."

The teenager turned up their nose at Johnathan's suggestion that he divulge what happen today, with extra annoyance due to the demanding tone in their voice. "Cool your jets! I'm not one of ya little butlers; ya gotta be nice about things. But I'm not gonna treat you like a butler either. We're two dudes who both like Tunic, alright?"

"Anyways...it went well." Kronos's frustrated face started to turn a deep shade of red as the day's memories flooded by them. "Look, a loooot of stuff happened today, and I dunno how much Tuny would want me to blab about. But, uh, the simple-and-sweet version is that...we..."

"...are pretty dang good friends. I took her around the museum and showed off a buncha my gadgets! One of 'em malfunctioned, though. Didn't hurt her, mind you, but it was a machine that broadcasted my memories. Ended up showin' some thoughts I would've preferred to stay hidden, but it turned out well in the end. At some point she showed me a memory, too. One of the closest experiences she had with her parents. It was...it was nice for her to show me that."

After a few moments of aimless grinning, Kronos snapped out of their dreamy memories. "T-that's all. Okay, we got kind of crazy in the middle of that, but ask Tunic for details!"
