GENERAL INFORMATION
NAME: Solan
ALIASES: Bonewright
AGE: 20
GENDER: Male
COMPANION TYPE: Minion
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: A young Konatsian man of bronze skin, Solan stands at a modest 5’7”, wirily muscled much in the way of an explorer rather than a fighter. Despite his youth, his hair is wholly silver, falling wavily past his jaw and broken up only by his pointed ears. Though he puts forward his best efforts to be a nonthreatening magician, his cobalt eyes have an absence of light to them that’s slightly unnerving.
Solan dresses mostly for travel, with a touch of wizardly flair. The muted cloths he wraps himself in for protection from the elements are offset by a long, blue vest. A leather belt around his waist holds an ensemble of hand tools and supplies, from hammers and pliers to notebooks and pens. A tarnished Kashvar ring meant to denote magical talent hangs from a chain around his neck.
BACKGROUND: Solan was born in Vynh City, his mother and father perpetually struggling to raise him and his older sister. Doing his best to stay out of the way and never taking more than he needed, he lived with his family for less than ten years before they pawned him off to a travelling peddler. He doesn’t recall being angry with them at the time.
With his new guardian, earning his keep meant finding valuable and eccentric items for sale. It also meant exploring treacherous parts of Konats. Though Solan was small enough to weasel his way into and out of many tough spots, he was only a child and couldn’t do so forever. While searching a Kashvar camp he’d presumed abandoned, the wizards made themselves known and captured the boy. He was tossed into the back of their cart alongside the corpse of a demon as they made off, doomed to have his blood used for dark spellwork. That is, if the presumed-dead demon hadn’t awoken and taken up a sword.
In a brief but brutal display, the cart was torn asunder and the Kashvar killed. Solan was terrified to even breathe as he watched the scarred demon pick through the mages’ belongings. After a long few minutes, the demon finally acknowledged Solan and dropped the Kashvar supplies in front of him. Introducing themself as Imugi, they said there was nothing of value to them, and so he could use the materials for himself. They departed without much more of a word, leaving the Konatsian boy awed he’d even lived.
Leaving the harrowing experience behind was difficult, but with his scavenged supplies he managed to survive and learn from it. The magic was difficult to learn, but with the power it held came the promise of freedom. No more being thrown around or risking his neck for coins. He could decide what he wanted and do it for himself! Spending his teenage years cultivating his magic talents and independently researching, Solan eventually grew into his role. He had some close calls with Kashvar, but came out mostly unscathed and with more knowledge to his collection. The wicked path of necromancy called to him as he learned, but he declined the darker aspects of it. In spite of how the world had treated him, he never allowed it to harden his heart.
Finally a young adult, Solan had travelled far across Konats, and even to Otherworld on the rare occasion. Among the Kashvar he was called Bonewright, the man who spoke to the dead. Sinister, but pretty cool if he did say so himself. A consequence of his lifestyle did mean that he got to speak little to the living, and he thought of them often. His parents, his sister, his old boss, and the terrible creature that saved him. Of all he expected to get closure for, it would not have been the last.
He found Imugi again just recently, in no better condition than their first encounter, and the two spoke. Solan expressed his gratitude and, against his better judgement, offered to repay his debt however possible. The demon threw his offer back in his face and told him off for it. And in the moment, the Konatsian recognized not a bloodthirsty creature of Hell, but a pained soul angry at the world and with not much time left in it. He decided it would be the decent thing to help ease that pain.

Memory Materialization
Drawing on the experiences of the dead, Solan can conjure ethereal objects and structures. Larger, more complex things require more of his energy and focus to summon.
