Gandigan knew he was going to end up in Hell. For all the good he had done while still alive, it wasn't enough to purify his soul. That's what Hell was, right? A purifier. Designed to suck all of the evilness out of someone so that they might end up on the good side. The fact that he was here was a sign to Gandigan that evil still lay within him, even if only in small amounts. But was that such a terrible thing? The more he thought on it, the more he questioned it.
What was evil, truly? To be immoral? What was immoral? Wrath? To match a killer like Lottus he needed wrath. Greed? To win against the odds he needed to seek out as much power as he could. Envy? Was it so wrong to desire the peace that others had for his people? Did he harm people along the way? Maybe, but only if it meant serving something greater. Perhaps Yemma wanted him to step aside while Lottus destroyed the universe. Would that have made him more likely to end up in Heaven?
Maybe there was no point in dwelling on it. He was in Hell, and he wouldn't be leaving any time soon... unless he found a way out. Lottus had managed to do it. Why couldn't he? That's what Gandigan pondered as he sat on the edge of the great blood sea, dipping his feet into the thick red liquid below... questioning what creatures may be swimming about. Where does one even begin to search for an escape out of Hell? If it were obvious then everyone would be going there.
At least with the ogres out of sight he could think freely, unafraid of who else might be watching. Would the Demons come to test his strength today? This was there territory, and Gandigan was no stranger to them at this point. If that were the case then so be it; he was happy to get in some reps before his rematch with Lottus.
