Deep within the bowels of the Regal Citadel, Ticoga is seated in a hovering throne. The throne makes little to no noise whatsoever, serving Ticoga less as a means of symbolic authority than as a convenient way to conduct his research. The room, a dome a hundred feet in diameter from floor to the center of the curved ceiling, is brightly lit - though not by the usual flouresent lights.
Rather, the very walls and ceiling are absolutely covered in holographic displays and recordings. Hundreds of video recordings, images of various planets and their scrawling information, images of individuals that had participated in the Imperial Open as well as data gathered by Terium and Verst's participation in the Trial of Peace held by the Namekians, littered every inch of visible surface. Nothing was left unturned - Ticoga had begun his research with the classified data and restricted collected data held by the Imperial Library.
Ticoga had been largely locked away within this place for hours on a daily basis - leaving only when needed for diplomatic meetings and other such things that required his authority and attention. The entire first month had been dedicated to the restricted, classified, and even forbidden knowledge. Ticoga had consumed every bit of the vast information he now had access to as Emperor.
And never once did Brumal's name come up - except in documents available to the public once those looking into it had gained the necessary steps of permission to view those documents. Only now, Ticoga had compared the records against the deeply protected originals. He had found that the more public documents had indeed been tampered with. So, there was some truth to Mint's claims. But whether or not Brumal and the Shinjin, Ward, were the same person, it was impossible to prove.
Very little data existed that referenced this Ward being, and almost all of it was from word of mouth. The only proof of Ward being involved with anything Imperial, was the briefing that the Shinjin had been run off from a battle on Plant by Brumal and his fleet. And the only physical proof of the Shinjin was the recording of his match against Mint in the Imperial Open.
But, after learning that the Shinjin had been attempting to control the Empire not once, but on two separate occasions by two separate Shinjin, Ticoga had chosen to believe Mint's claim now.
"My Lord, the report from Plant has come in." came an airy, confident female voice.
Ticoga lowered the hovering throne down twenty feet to return to the floor, and turns it to face the owner of the voice - his assistant, Magaera. She hands over a thin device, and a holographic display pops up. Ticoga reviews the information swiftly.
"This is hard to believe." he says at first. "But, given that this Super Saiyan participated in the Imperial Open, I suppose I should just take this as fact. But it seems that the Kingdom managed to wrest him under control. Has there been any word from King Taori in response to my invitation to Arcose? Or to Namek's spiritual leader?"
"Not yet, Lord. But we suspect they will soon."
Ticoga nods - he needed to get some fresh air, and so led the way out of his research dome, and through the palace back to the throne room first.
