With Russ and his rage backing him, Yogu feels nigh invincible while laying into Lottus. Of course, he was too much of a novice at fighting to realize his blows were merely being allowed to land. Yogu leaves an opening for Russ to strike, but he wasn't sure the guy needs someone to give him an opening. These were two forces of nature crashing into each other, and Yogu was just along for the ride. He was surprised that Lottus bled. Somehow, that just seemed impossible.
"If it bleeds, you can kill it, you know?"
Yogu ignores the voice in his head. The freaky Saiyan's words reset the boy's expectations of how this would go. Just because he got angry didn't mean they would somehow overpower the guy. Yogu couldn't help but look to Chomei while Lottus spoke of the consequences of picking this fight. There was one thing Lottus was wrong about. They didn't all pick this fight. Russ and Choh tried to stop him from the start. The responsibility here was solely on him. If only he wasn't here to make his cousin worry- if only he hadn't lashed out at him at the start of this- if only... He couldn't tell if his cousin was still breathing from this far away.
Was he...?
"Don't jump the gun, Yogu." He could still fix this. No one was dead yet. He stumbles back when Lottus starts at them, terrified that he is about to end up like Choh. But that doesn't happen. Not yet, at least. The freak's attention is drawn elsewhere to the pair of dorks Yogu had flipped off a moment ago. The boy watches like a cornered animal, only moving again when Lottus threatens to snap his cousin's neck, "Don't you DARE!" He cries out with hellfire burning in his eyes. Yogu lashes out, but the Super Saiyan is gone long before a fist connects. He huffs and puffs, feeling pretty useless in the moment. For now, the guy wasn't his problem, at least. Tough break for those over there, though.
More than anything else, he wanted to rush to Chomei's side, and... Well, he wasn't sure. Cry? Profusely apologize for all of this? Run away with his cousin in tow? But he couldn't. The blind fury had died down, and cowardice had returned. Getting to Choh meant getting closer to Lottus, a non-starter in the negotiations between Yogu's body and mind. Russ was the one ordered to grab him anyway. Were they really going to follow the guy's orders? He would have to do as his cousin said and follow Russ's lead, though the kid's confidence in his friend had lessened.
"Russ, if you have a plan, I would really love to hear it right about- No. No, screw that! I'm gonna go... Do somethin' dumb. Get Choh outta here. Please. I'll buy some time." Maybe he was just physically incapable of doing what other people told him to. That, or he was a glutton for punishment. A little part of him did love a fight he couldn't win. When Lottus starts back in on them, Yogu throws a ki blast at the guy. Cowardice morphs into self-flagellation via Super Saiyan. "Last I checked, you were beatin' up over-emotional children. You gonna finish the job, or what, dude?" He marches towards Lottus and certain doom.
Yogu whispers under his breath, "If it bleeds, you can kill it..."
