It was time for Gandigan to return home. It wasn't how he had envisioned, with his memory still intact, but maybe that would prove to be for the best. He tried to go through with the procedure, to wipe away his memories... but he thought back to what Nero and Mollusc had said to him. They were right in their assessments: Gandigan was a coward. He couldn't face up to what he had done, so he tried to run. But he was tired of running now. He had spent the last six months running from one place to another. It was time to put things to bed.
He wasn't sure what sort of welcome he could expect. Nero and Mollusc would probably be understanding, and maybe even welcoming of his return. Marimba would still want to kick his ass after the way he left, but he could probably talk him down. He may even see Dosu and Apexle again, and maybe he could make new friends as well. Real friends this time.
He entered into the coordinates for Namek into his pod, before heading off to bed. He expected to awake just before landing, though a sudden jerk of his vessel woke him up. "What the... what was that?" Gandigan got out of bed and approached the nearest window, only to find a planet that looked nothing like Namek staring back at him. He rushed over to the flight console tried furiously to force his vessel back on path, but something had it stuck in place. His pod was being dragged down onto the surface.
Looking outside again, Gandigan witnessed the metal hull begin to warp under the pressure being put on it. Trying to push into the opposite direction as it was being pulled would have resulted in the ship being torn in two, so he had no choice but to shut the the engines off. As soon as he did he felt a massive shift in speed as the pod now began to soar towards the planet's surface. Barely able to stand, Gandigan had to pull himself back over to the console and engage the pod's shielding, hoping that it would save him.

Gandigan awoke with his face feeling like it had been rearranged. He had fallen hard into the console, but he was alive. The ship was vibrating, but it survived too. Upon hearing the alert message he rushed to the nearest window, and got a good look at the hell scape that awaited him. It was like the worst parts of the First Scar, but spread across and entire planet. The environment was composed from every shade of red you could think of, and he shuddered to think what may live here.
That was when things began to shake. It came from nowhere; a scream in the distance. No, not a scream: a roar. So loud and so powerful that he collapsed from the force of it. He pushed down on his ears so hard he thought he might split his head open, but that would have been better than hearing that roar. He could see the steel of his ship began to warp and crack, as it had when they were in the air. At the same time some force was pulling him towards the exit, but just as suddenly as it had started did it stop, and for now he had a respite.

The first warning hadn't really reached Gandigan, but that one did. The Namekian hopped into an oxygenated suit and rushed outside, where he found the planet's gravity to be a great deal thicker than he was used to on Namek or Konats. A tree's branch had somehow pierced through his fuel take, sapping his reserves. For a brief moment he considered trying to cauterize the wound using his ki, before realizing how stupid that would be. "You really want to blow yourself up? Think Gandigan!" He hurried back inside and found the only tool he had for the job: Duct tape.

He sealed up the opening as much as he could, though even then there were clearly a few drops escaping every now and then. At the very least it gave him time to work. Heading back inside, he ran a quick calculation on his console and found that to get to Namek from where he was, he'd need at least 15% of his fuel, and that was with a divebomb landing. He went back outside and tried to hover into the air to scout, though the gravity made it extremely difficult.
It shocked him to see that he wasn't the only one to go through this experience: every few hundred feet he could spot another downed vessel. If he were lucky he might be able to find some professional tools to patch up his leak, and maybe he could figure out what the hell had drawn all these ships down in the first place.
