Gelus placed the cigar back into its case when Gandigan declined to take one. "Understandable. At the end of the day, all we have is our health." The Arcosian wanted to laugh before the words even finished leaving his mouth. If your health was truly all you had, then you had nothing in his view. At the very least, the Namekian warrior had power. While second to money, it was a fairly close second. He also had knowledge of Planet Namek that Gelus found incredibly useful. Firstly about the amount of Namekian warriors on the planet which could help secure his product, allowing him to use the planet for storage. While he had intended to wait until the mine was set up and producing to start looking for off-world storage, when opportunity knocks, one would be a fool not to answer the door.
Apparently, however, he had to speak to someone by the name of Nero, the "Guru" of the Namekian people. He had heard tell of such an individual, but never any details. It seemed like the Namekian was a leader of sorts on the planet. How very interesting indeed. When asked about the amount of ice on Earth and how it compares to the ice on the moons of Arcose, Gelus laughed. "Oh, no, it most certainly does not. It has more ice than you might expect, though. The ice in Earth's northern regions runs deep, and Earth itself is nearly untapped by the galactic ice market. We never miss an opportunity to expand." While that was the partial truth, Gelus conveniently left out the major reason his company was even creating an ice subsidiary. Namely, his goal was to take out the company's rival; Arctic Ice Inc, after they refused to sell for the initial amount after learning of Arcose Ice Services' weak position on the planet.
