|| Nero’s PL: 100,000 ||
What to do, what to do... Nero had pondered this for a while regarding the Northern Scar overall, and a good while back he did begin his mission to dispel the shroud of judgement and bitterness concerning the Mazoku— it had gone quite well so far, far more than he had anticipated even. Nero had to admit that it was heartwarming to see the progress that was made within the community of planet Namek; especially around here in the Outer Plait. Ever since Nero had healed the land of the deepest wounds, the vibe out here was much better— and the locals certainly appreciated the aesthetic remaining rugged and tough. Nero was glad to have made that call in his restoration effort.
Still, there was the matter of the old castle. Various people wanted to claim it for some reason or another. Each time it was for some ridiculous or just overall selfish reason.
Generally speaking, this land was of great cultural significance, many locals, Namekian or otherwise, made some measure of pilgrimage to this exact location for meditative purposes. Since it was sacred, this was one of those places that shouldn’t be under a singular owner or in the name of any one person.
It deserved respect, it deserved to be a place of significance and a safe haven for the community— a symbol of unity for all to enjoy. Ever since the last attempt to take the castle, Nero had been thinking about this sentiment more often. So, to this end, Nero began coming to the castle to inspect it, to see what dwelled within, what could be restored the easiest, general places of interest as well as historical artefacts to point him in the right direction.
Nero’s historical knowledge of Namek was pretty good at this point just by his own merit. As far as he knew— or was otherwise able to find and re-confirm his current knowledge— this castle was once a safe haven for the injured during the early conflicts of the three clans. Through years of disrepair, it wouldn’t surprise him if there were other things in here now, hiding in the many halls or nooks, crannys and elevators— Wait.
Was that the sound of an elevator? Not a ding, no, something else. A swoosh? A shadowy swoosh?
Of course, as is classic for Nero, his ears were the most evolved and quickest of his senses in a lot of comedic moments, but his natural energy sensing caught up within the speed of a thought as he detected the presence of Erebos.
Well, kind of. It felt adjacent in a sense, probably that extra-dimensional shadow-skipping thing that the guy can do. Anyway, since he knew this area well and faced no danger of getting lost, Nero decided to see where this curiosity would lead and opted to follow the mildly-displaced presence of Erebos.
Eventually he spotted a particularly out of place moving shadow on the other side of a big cavern that looked like some sort of rectangle under this minimal red-ish light. Soon after, Erebos indeed popped out as Nero could easily sense and hear him by now and it seemed as though he was with someone else. Their conversation that he heard the general gist of was unusual, the deep dark regrettable past type stuff. Nero supposed that he shouldn’t be too surprised, both himself and Erebos had a knack for getting people to be candid and open in this manner.
Besides, there was likely more to the story and Nero wasn’t one to be judgemental without ample reason. So, he approached, waving politely to the two of them— his vibe a exceptionally stark contrast to the ominous ambiance. “Heya Erebos, doing some exploring too? I’ll say it’s not usually so... Red and spooky down here. That is in fact new and at least mildly suspicious.” Nero gave the shadowmancer’s Majin companion a smile. “Speaking of new but in a more positive way, you’re a new face I haven’t seen before. Hi, I’m Nero! Are you a friend of Erebos?”
