The streets were quiet tonight. Was it night? Nobody was ever quite sure down here, but the clock had rung its bell some time ago, and so the residents had shuffled to their little homes. Signs still buzzed with neon glow despite the vacancy, and the cold chill of something dark hung in the air like morning mist. As the last of the Ogre guards moved on to other patrol points, something stirred in the alleyway just off the main strip.
From the shadows, he arrived. Clad in armor, sword swinging limply side-to-side, Erebos walked into the center of town. A tune came from his lips, whistling a jingle from ages long-since past. Seems he'd come at the wrong time... Or perhaps, a very right time, depending on what one was here for.
"Damn. I was sure she'd be here this time."
Kicking a stone, he tilted his head as an old fountain stopped pouring water. Had his informant truly been wrong? Usually spirit-folk were rather accurate with their information, especially ones as eager as the little puff he'd run into down here. Sources said that, on very rare occasions, one could run into a white-haired demon in Limbo Town, just after the place had closed for the night.
Maybe Erebos was the one they were talking about, or the Demon in question had moved on to bigger pastures. Regardless, he'd given the town a once-over the past three nights, and still no sign of her!
A slippery thing, for sure. Why was he so invested in finding her, anyways? Could've been for her meddling with Namek, or the fact that she stole agency away from that other Demon. Or maybe... No. Probably the good guy sounding things. Definitely.
Erebos knelt down, sliding his hand across the stone. From his fingertips, little beads of black ooze darted into the stonework, searching for Tsuya. With any luck, she'd be here. But, in all truth, the odds were viciously slim. Surely that little puff was fibbing. Putting Erebos on a wild goose chase. Either way, he'd give it this one last try.
Who knows? Maybe she'd show up coincidentally!
