So this was the planet they called Plant? Imugi hadn’t known the brutish Saiyans or egghead Tuffles to be fond of irony, they had to suspect it was a name of ages past. To call it so now seemed like a bad joke, barren soil and rough stone stretched before Imugi’s eye for as far as could be seen, hewn by decades of battle. Not exactly the change of scenery they’d hoped for in departing Konats. They very well could have landed themselves nearer the carefully cultivated territories of the Tuffle people, but Imugi never did find much comfort in the industrial or being judged as an outsider.
Keen not to waste the trip, the demon had settled on hiking through the wasteland, winding through the rugged land, appreciating the silence if nothing else. Naturally, the world wouldn’t have that for long. Trudging around the trunk of a gnarled tree with no leaves, a croaking alerted Imugi to a presence in their blindspot. Grabbing the sword at their hip, they turned to face a small, green creature with manic red eyes crouched on all fours. Vaguely familiar, though they could not place the name for its species. Imugi adopted a grin as they offered the being a cheeky warning. “Don’t try it.”
Perhaps Imugi simply looked like easy prey — they could hardly disagree — as the Saibaman lunged regardless with a piercing cry. In a flash of metal wreathed by a dull orange energy, the plant-like beast’s head was split open. Imugi sidestepped the body as it crumpled onto the ground, paying it a glance to see acid spilling from its cranium. “That’s just foul, isn’t it?” The demon remarked, flicking their blade to rid it of the corrosive substance. “I’m not so feeble to be done in by such a lowly creature, you’d do well to remember that,” Finished mocking the corpse, Imugi moved to sheathe their sword when they felt more eyes on them. Twelve in all, belonging to six Saibamen looking none too frightened by the display and adopting similarly hostile stances. For such lowly creatures, Imugi liked their odds less against a number of them. A cautious step back only caused the crowd to coil their muscles in anticipation, watching the demon weigh their odds. Odds weighed, Imugi turned around and shot from their place, flying away as the gaggle of Saibamen sprang after them to give chase.
