Triumph. That was what Yatapi had been feeling ever since his victory in the Saiba Wastes, the Ruined Metropolis— while still effectively torn to shreds— no longer suffered from the vile stench and degradation of Destron. Other related matters such as Satsuma’s death at his hands and the hopeful liberation of Iyokan only filled Yatapi with more confidence.
Sticking to a secluded area, a small section of the Ruined Metropolis’ expansive underground, Yatapi continued with his various experiments. He wanted to refine his Anti-Destron formulas, make them stronger, better, far more potent than ever before. Maybe give it a more official name when it came to him; but it had to be something fitting.
During one of his experiments, Yatapi brought out a crystalized cube with the shattered and cracked remains of an antique lamp. Placing it in an observation chamber, Yatapi quickly figured out that it was magical in origin, it had some sort of instantaneous transportation properties, how fascinating! After a short while of research, Yatapi ascertained that this preserved lamp was connected to a realm beyond, the Otherworld, as many called it— it was where the dead and gone would go, if they were indeed given the chance to.
So, Yatapi was curious, the many now thankfully properly buried dead that he had found in the Ruined Metropolis... Did they pass over safely? If not when they died initially, did they do so now, now that he had taken care of their bodies correctly? Yatapi just had to know. Analyzing the lamp, Yatapi also found that it had just enough energy, that last little bit of juice left that could afford him a round trip into Otherworld and back, he just had to make the correct setup. Of course, this was no problem for him, and after creating a focus device that would siphon the power, Yatapi had created a portal on a nearby wall, which lead him to...
Ogretown, apparently. The primary civilization of the Ogres, and within the Grand Judge; King Yemma’s domain. Before entering the boundaries of the city, Yatapi, having brought his entire physical being, also brought his nanomachines, so he created a secret ‘halo projector’ ring under his hair that made it look like he was supposed to be here.
Wandering on, Yatapi noticed that the city had various facilities, a lot of them mirrored the cities of the mortal realm. Dining, entertainment, medical services, battle arenas, they had it all. What’s more, all of it was efficient over being gaudy! Excellent, well and truly!
