"I'm really sorry about that!" Jinx chirped merrily, leg stretching to step over the pile of unconscious Kashvar guards. Where typical food wasn't curbing her wants, Jinx followed her metaphorical nose to the closest source of other nourishment. The Amp Caverns was chock full of lovely things called chargestones - multicolored magic rocks that were, in essence, compact crystallized shards of raw energy. The Kashvar liked to mine them for use in technology and as a lucrative export for 'the economy', but Jinx saw them as useful in another manner. Surely eating enough would give her the kickstart she needed in this new world!
...Of course, it'd also be really, really bad for Nasibu's power situation and potentially cause a temporary crash in the market, but when was Jinx ever one to think of 'long term ramifications'? "La de da, fa la la..." There was a surprisingly stiff resistance on her way in. Turns out the soldiers posted here took their jobs very seriously! Jinx had already had to patch a few holes in her outfit (and herself) after getting exploded by one too many stray blasts, but the damage was purely superficial. She'd considered snacking on the guardsmen, too, but ultimately decided against it. Filling up on appetizers would mean less room for the main course!

The mines were quiet. Bluish-white lights from lantern flame bathed the area in a soothing glow, clashing harshly with the pulsating brightness from untapped chargestones. Orange, green, blue. Each vibrated with a unique intensity, brushing against Jinx's senses as if begging to be taken. The Majin ignored the locked gate and guardrail, squeezing through it like putty. It seemed oddly empty. Little to the thief's knowledge, it was a weekend. Union regulation and a lack of robots to automate jobs away meant that (most) sites were closed aside from the security detail she'd already decimated.
Gloved fingers ran across the surface of a shimmering crimson stone, Jinx pausing to enjoy its warm, comforting sensation. "Mmm, you'll do." Only one? She'd need more. The entire mountainside should do; lifting each individual rock would get tiring quick, so she needed to be creative about it. "I am not creative." Jinx sighed, sitting criss-cross applesauce on the stone floor and thinking. Her options were known. Hard labor (mostly busy work for a Majin that didn't GET tired) or a genius plan. The dregs of sleep and malnutrition still pecked away at her higher brain functions. "If only Acerola were here." Though her bestest hired mercenary, SALVO, should be showing soon!
If she didn't, then, uh... more yummy stones for her.
