Usumidori was very confident in her ability to coerce, so Gandigan sat back and allowed her to go to work. She spoke quite freely, mentioning the artifacts that she wished to take a hold of. She continued with the lie, or was it a truth? That she was broken in some way, and needed these artifacts to mend her. He could see a look of nervousness across many of the faces in the small crowd that had gathered; many looked toward him to say something to make sense of this.
Gandigan stepped forward and followed on with what she said. "Brothers, here me now. What this outsider says is the truth; she is need of healing that only you and your magical artifacts can provide." A silence fell over the crowd, as clearly they were unsure of how to respond. Gandigan prepared to speak again, though he was interrupted.
An elderly Namekian stepped forward from amongst the crowd, carrying with him an equally weathered staff in hand. The others stepped away and bowed out of respect, indicating that this was probably the leader of this village. He looked upon Gandigan warmly, though upon Usumidori there was only distrust. He slowly made his way over to the woman, only stopping a few feet away of her to speak. "My dear... we do not get many outsiders here, so you must forgive my brothers lack of words."
The rest of the crowd now had their eyes locked onto the elder; their stare unwavering. "These artifacts that you speak of; it's true that myself and some of my brothers posses such items, though how you came to know about the existence of such things is a curious matter for another time. Now, if you are truly broken as you say then I would be happy to provide whatever aid I can, though before we continue... would you mind a quick examination?" The elder reached out his arm, clearly waiting for Usumidori to step forward.
Gandigan would move his eyes over to Usumidori, unsure of how she wanted to proceed.
