Lottus gazes at Jagaimo quizzically as she passionately rejects his offhanded dismissals. For a moment of brief misunderstanding, Lottus' anger flashes as Jagaimo states that he should be celebrating, not mourning. At first, he thought she was suggesting that he should be celebrating the manner in which Rapini had died - terrible though it had been, she had died fighting as a Saiyan should.
But she had meant something else, he realized. She was suggesting that he should have been celebrating what made him care about Rapini, he surmised. She stood, taking up the spear he'd fashioned, and pointed the tip at him, and commanded him to stand. When she suggested that she could give him a quick death, an amused grin spreads across his features.
"Well now, you have spunk, I'll give you that." Lottus replies. He heaves himself off the sandy ground, rising to his full height, and turns fully to Jagaimo. "So you'll oblige me, and kill me then? You are welcome to try."
Lottus rolls his neck and shoulders, causing some of the stiffened joints to emit a muffled popping noise. If she thought him willing to just roll over and die, she would soon be quite surprised.
"You have a proper Saiyan spirit; that's an attractive feature in our culture, so don't waste my time telling me to make something of myself, only to say you yourself can't. Defeats the purpose of your claim." Lottus says, smirking down at Jagaimo. "But fair enough - you aren't wrong. I didn't have any intent for my future. But my acceptance of death, doesn't mean I'll allow it. Perhaps I will make a little mark on this world. After all, I still have business to attend to in a few days."
With Fukushu and his band of mercenaries in tow, doing that very task shouldn't prove to be too problematic. Lottus smirks at Jagaimo; she had the same no-bullshit attitude Rapini had - though Rapini had been even more forceful about it. Were this a situation where she were alive, Lottus had no doubt Rapini would have struck him with the spear atop his head a few times already.
"...Make something of ourselves, eh?" Lottus mutters, more to himself than to Jagaimo. "Tell you what - if you can impress me, I'll come looking for you another day. You want to find out what I can make of myself? What you can make of yourself? Then impress me, and we'll find out what those futures look like."
Lottus opens his arms wide, inviting Jagaimo to strike if she wished to.
"I accept death, but I'm not going to die any time soon. But, you're welcome to come over here and impress me, if you think you can." Lottus challenges, smiling all the while.
