There is a thundering rumble, and several tall yet dilapidated buildings seem to burst, and collapse in on themselves with a rolling roar as hundreds of tons of rubble and thick clouds of choking dust spill across the border of the recent battle that had occurred here in the metropolis ruins. Lottus steps through the hanging clouds, flexing his hands into and out of fists.
His power had grown exponentially since he faced Rhapsody Shade and those other two warriors here. Evidence of their struggle still scarred the drab, dark landscape. Almost two miles in diameter, a massive crater had been carved into the center of the battlefield, with dozens of smaller craters dotting the borders of the massive one. Shattered skyscrapers and other structures lay like a civilization's graveyard.
He, a Low Class soldier, had grown to such levels that he never would have dreamed possible to achieve. But, should he be surprised? How many times had he fought now? How many times had he been brought to the brink, and recovered? Each and every defeat had been at the hands of an opponent several times his own power - and he still came out of those battles.
Lottus walks to the center of the massive crater, and feels something warm his left cheek. Reaching up, he finds it to be blood. His eyes had started bleeding like he was crying every now and then - and the head ache he felt pulsing in his head only further confirmed to him that time was beginning to run shorter. It was ironic, really - no amount of power could stop what was coming to him.
Rhapsody and Cato had proclaimed a desire to help him. Yatapi and Queen Amara were offering to test possible cures on him. Fukushu was offering Lottus the chance to die in combat - which any self respecting Saiyan would instantly choose over wasting away until becoming too infirm to resist a disease. For five years, the only interactions he had were mercenaries and Saiyan soldiers hunting him; and now, inexplicably, people were wanting him alive.
Grunting irritably, Lottus wipes the rest of the blood away, and reaches up to his scouter. It was time to speak with Vocado, if the damn man was alive. He hesitates for a moment, but presses the communicator activation switch, and connects to what he knew was Vocado's identifier codes.
"Vocado. This is Lottus. We've got things to discuss." Lottus says flatly. "Come find me where we decided to be a thorn in Queen Amara's side - the place we both apparently decided was a good place to fall. Come alone, Vocado; or I'll kill whoever else comes."
It was unnecessarily confrontational, but Lottus knew Vocado responded to challenging tones.
