TURNING OF THE TIDES

| Cato's PL: 40,000 |
A lot had happened since Cato had taken her recent trip away from Plant.
She had uncovered the location of the old pirate ship she was hunting. She had found the name she needed to uncover more about her family's past. And here on Plant, things were just as much in motion: there was a new ruler, and it was anyone's guess what they would unravel upon a Saiyan populace that was undoubtedly growing tired of change. Arcose seemed to be on the move as well, though few outside of the sacred trust at the top of the Empire knew what that would entail. Through it all, Cato herself had gained tremendously in strength, courtesy of many long hours spent travelling the stars.
But it wasn't enough.
Cato wasn't so qualified in intergalactic politics to know if the world was headed for a long peace and stagnant status quo, or if there really was a storm brewing on the horizon. But what she did know is that either way, she needed to know where she stood--and where her friends stood. She had already reached out to Vocado, only to find him in a rather sorry state after a recent battle. The only other name that really came to mind for her was Lottus. After their previous battles, she considered him a friend.
This time, Cato didn't rely on her scouter to reach Lottus. Instead, she gave a note to one of the lower-ranking Saiyans she was able to bully into listening to her orders, despite her lack of technical authority. If the message didn't make it, she would give up and go home. If the message did make it, then she was absolutely certain Lottus would show up. He seemed more than happy to entertain her last request.
The note, short on detail due to the need for secrecy, read:

Lotus,
This is Cato. We need to talk when you can. I've been away, and with everything going on here on Plant, I'm interested to hear where you stand. I don't know where I stand, but I'd rather not stand alone if bloodshed is coming.
