"...Okay, we're all seeing this right?" the Heran mercenary asked his two crew members, who slowly nodded. The Broljin thief rubbing her eyes to make sure that she wasn't hallucinating.
"We see it alright... Earth's gravity should have brought all that to the ground and yet..." the Saiyan warrior mused, checking the ships instruments as they approached the remains of this strange and obscenely impossibly tall structure. What they were looking at defied what they had expected from Earth's architecture, as well as simple physics.
A singular column of stone that rose several hundreds of thousands of feet into the sky, with what looked like the remains of a wide circular bowl like structure. Or at least, what used to be circular and bowl shaped. Damage they had expected to see since they had been told about that. What they had not expected to find was portions of the damaged structure to be floating along beside it, almost as if caught in a gravity field like miniature asteroids. Something was definitely going on here and it absolutely reeked of magic...
"Alright, clearly we aren't going to be able to land on what remains of the place." mused Erbia, glancing over the cartography of the region on display. "And of course there aren't any clearings aside from the one directly below large enough for the ship to land on..." he grumbled, looking at his crew.
Korla sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, guess we're gonna have to burn some fuel then and leave it in hover mode... Although, given the altitude, we maaaay be close enough to the atmosphere that it might not take up that much power to "park" up here?" the Broljin mused as she checked the instruments.
"There going to be enough breathable air up here? Cus I don't know about you but I definitely need air." stated Rassica, following on from their proximity to Earths atmosphere. Korla looked at the monitors before scratching her head. "That's the weird thing... Everywhere else up here, the air is super thin, barely breathable at all. But around the remains of the structure? It's much denser. Not quite ground level, but definitely enough that we won't be gasping or needing rebreathers." she mused, tapping the monitor to make sure it wasn't on the blink.
Erbia grumbled under his breath at all the oddities that this place was throwing at them, and they hadn't even gone to take an actual look at the place yet. "Bloody magic. Alright, well let's go take a look and see what was so damned important about this place to constitute a reason for these bloody Accords of theirs. And see if there's anything useful left in this place." he ordered, making his way towards the exit ramp, the others following suit.
A few minutes later they landed on the remains of what once looked like a grand platform, with only a single house like structure left. "Right... standard salvage rules, with the addendum of no opening any jars or orbs or anything like that if the Scouters don't pick up anything." the Heran ordered. "We don't need another bloody Slayg on our hands." he mused. The Saiyan and Broljin women both nodded and began to make their way to the right and left of the structure respectively to start investigating, whilst Erbia went straight down the middle.
It was weird though, why so much destruction up here? And what was with this one single building up here? Whoever used to live up here must have been some kind of bigshot, judging by the decor of the place that remained to be seen...
