It was hard for the mulling crowd to miss the short figure that strolled through their midst. The young Majin’s cold gaze cut through the individuals unfortunate enough to cross in front of her, and the people who came from behind saw the giant object tied to her back. Its shape made it clear enough exactly what the item was; a giant sword, with a bandaged handle that was exposed for the teenager to grab. She paused as she noticed a tray of apples. She nodded towards the man running the stall of food, before grabbing an apple from the stack. Biting into it, she continued walking through the crowd.
The farmer could scarcely believe his eyes when the young Majin, clad in a tattered cloak and medieval armor, glared at him. He was ready to run, until she grabbed an apple and turned away. His fear and instincts were cast aside for his far stronger mercantile spirit, as he shouted at the fleeing figure.
“Get back here, thief! You need to pay for that!”
The girl finished the entire apple, eating the entire core and spitting out the flavorless stem. She could hear voices behind her, but she ignored them to instead gaze at the sky. She had felt energies near this area, signs of powerful individuals. If they were monsters, she would hunt them with no hesitation. If they were demons, she would battle them with zero remorse. And if they were warriors...she would battle with pride. She tilted her head to one side as a metal projectile shot past her. Turning her gaze backwards, she saw the two men in blue outfits pointing guns at her. She raised her hands in innocence, before speaking.
“I’m not here to harm you or the others in this crowd. My goal is to hunt down the monsters that caused the Eclipse, and bring my family to justice.”
“Put your hands higher! And get on your knees, alien!”
The girl ignored the orders of the shouting man, bringing one hand to the handle of the huge object on her back. The other officer saw her motion, and shouted in response.
“She’s going for her weapon! Engaging with lethal intent!” Five more shots rang out, as he emptied his revolver towards the girl. Her hand blurred through the air in front of her, as sparks flew through the air. Shrapnel spattered the ground as she lowered her smoking gauntlet. New scars marred the metal, from the impacts of the bullets she had parried.
“I don’t use my sword against the weak. Unless you want to become food, I suggest you leave.”
The officer began reloading his gun, as the other one tried to radio to higher for support; they had a rogue Warrior in the East City Farmer’s Market, and they needed far more powerful weapons to balance the situation.
So fixated on the two irritants in front of her, the girl hardly noticed her surroundings, where a crowd was rapidly growing. Displays of this level were always entertaining, and would doubtless draw more ‘attention’ from individuals of different backgrounds.
