BACKGROUND: Meister was once a human named Kashu who lived a rather normal life on Earth, complete with a wife, a stable job, and a name long since forgotten. All Meister could truly remember from his past life was the day he died, when he defended his wife from a mugger in the alleyway behind the “Hell’s Gate” diner in South City. While his wife escaped and lived on, Kashu wasn’t so lucky and was gunned down by the mugger’s partner in crime. He was left bleeding on the ground as the two men grabbed whatever they could off of his body and ran away.
Kashu was presented to King Yemma and was ultimately sent to hell due to having several affairs in his past life, though he no longer remembers what landed him in hell in the first place. While Kashu spent the majority of his time in hell serving his punishment, he was soon approached by a demon who had snuck in from the demon realm, tempting the man with an offer he just couldn’t refuse. In exchange for returning to Earth, the man would take on the name of Meister and serve in the demon’s place as the Demon of Sinners, a powerful being tasked with reining in the damned on Earth and bringing them to hell where they belong. The man agrees, and upon shaking the demon’s hand and right before any ogres could interfere with their deal, both the man and the demon retreat to his quarters in the Devil’s Hideaway.
While walking through the Devil’s Hideaway, the demon reveals its name to Kashu: Meister. Once every 300 years or so, the power of the previous Meister begins to decay, and in order to renew it, they must seek out a new host and grant them their power, thus restarting the cycle. Upon finishing their tour, Meister splits into four lesser demons named Guerre, Jihuang, Muerte, and Ekibyo. The four demons forcefully enter Kashu’s mind, and he is transformed into the new Meister while also forgetting almost everything from his past life. For the next 122 years, Meister has used the powers of the four demons to purge crooks and lowlifes on the streets, delivering each one to King Yemma and branding each one as a sinner.
At the age of 102, Meister was growing a bit tired of listening to the four lesser demons in his head, and he was also struggling with getting rid of the bodies of the evildoers that he kills. Tossing each one into a garbage bag or teleporting them directly to the morgue is getting a bit tiresome for the Demon of Sinners, but then he came up with an idea: An assistant. Using his demon magic, Meister creates a majin to serve alongside him: Majin Marune is born, or Runie for short. Over the course of the next 20 years, she would prove to not only be a valuable asset to Meister, but a very nice change of pace considering her goofy and bubbly personality. While the first few months mostly consisted of Meister just giving orders to Marune and she would follow his command, overtime she became more and more independent and even began showing interest in many other things. Meister soon took on the role of both a teacher and a father while showing her what Earth has in store for her.
Recently, however, there has been a recent surge of humans, saiyans, namekians, and many other species that possess high power levels on par or greater than what Meister himself possesses. Sensing it’s time to move on to bigger game, Meister begins his training to one day bring all sinners to their knees and have them sent to Hell where they belong.
TECHNIQUES: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with an additional slot. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots. These are for unique effects, such as Ki Sense or Magic Materialization, which aren't specifically tied to combat.
