It had been well over a few months since Gaffa had dared to step into an actual populated area. Not only was she hiding from the shame of publicized loss, but it was also the fact that she had somewhat lost the taste for humans. Her interactions leading up to the tournament placed a few people in a light outside of simple 'prey', and now actively going out of her way to eat up the meat bags was just kinda awkward. Besides, she didn't want to make another rumor to drag people like Slayg or that old man to her, like with what happened in Bellpepper Woods.
The main reason she had entered East City despite her current misgivings was the fact that earlier that week, some teenage campers she had scared off of her hiding grounds had left behind some belongings, which included a flyer for the opening of some new fast food building in the city. Gaffa had tried a couple of different fast foods during her stay in the alleys of North City and got a lot of enjoyment of whatever she was able to fish out of the trash or steal from random civvies, so she was feeling keen on trying this new location she hadn't heard of yet.
Donning a quick normal person disguise of a hoodie and some ragged jeans, along with an oversized beanie to cover her antennae to a certain extent, the majin walked down the streets of East City without much trouble, keeping her eye out for the fast food store. Of course, she had no idea where to find it, considering she's never read directions before in her life, doesn't have any form of map, and doesn't even know what street signs were. So she was primarily going off of sight and potentially smell. The smell of unknown food was typically easy to pick out for her, and it lead her to a couple of older humans wearing some sort of blue uniform, apparently in the middle of lunch. Gaffa lowered her beanie down and approached the men.
"Hey, where did you get that?" Gaffa asked, pointing to the food in their laps. They look at her inquisitively, before one of them pointed down the street to a bright red building.
"Small Paul's is right down the street there, kid," the uniformed man said. The other rolled his eyes, about to go back to his food before seemingly remembering something. He pulled out a glass eyepiece, similar to glasses but bulkier, and only covering one eye.
"You skipping out on registration, girlie?" The second uniform stood up, reaching for a baton on his belt. "Before you go anywhere, you best be coming with us." The majin, having already turned around to start walking to the fast food place known as Small Paul's, ignored the uniformed man's order. Without pause, he grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her back to face him. "I wasn't done with you-"
Gaffa whipped her arm back to her side, and with the motion ended up throwing the man down on the pavement. The first uniformed man dropped his food and quickly stood up, drawing a gun and pointing it at her. "Put your hands up and get on the ground! In accordance with the president's new law, all powered citizens of Earth must be registered or face the consequences. You gotta come with us, kid."
The majin scrunched up her face, confused. What the hell was this meat bag talking about? Maybe she should just kill them now and get out of the city before this escalated more than it was. Her fist started to glow with a green, fiery energy, ready to fight.
