Desperate Times, Desperate Measures [Invite]

Why the hell were the words actually getting through to her? Nothing like that had actually managed to get through her previously, and honestly Kon had expected something life changing to be what would finally pique her interest and get her to listen. But some basic bullshit she heard from countless amounts like this? Well, it was infuriating and frustrating more than anything,  making her want to just rip her hair out and screen until his little voice was drowned out by her shouts. As much as she wanted to do all of this, she much preferred to cave his skull in first. 

To her relief, she was overall successful with her next attack. While his attempt to stop her did managed to slow her down, once again sending the scent of burning cloth and flesh into the air, it would not stop her attack. However the pain would manage to jolt her further out of her anger, making her feel even more aware of the situation she was in. As she finished her attack, she felt the strength and speed from earlier slowly seep out of her body as the rage began to ebb out and she would once again regain control of her mind. 

"No," she said in response to Derry's question. "As long as your stupid fucking face is around I'll never feel better." She bit her lip, debating whether to say her next phrase. She knew what she wanted to say, but could she actually muster up the resolve to say it in the first place? Damn it, this was going to be such a stain on her pride, but as much as she hated to admit it, he had gotten her all cornered up. After a few moments of internal debating, Kon let out a long dramatic sigh before saying. "I'll think about your offer of joining you, only because I have no other choice." She really didn't want to do this, but his plan had worked. In most cases she probably would have chosen to just die instead of ending up in a situation like this, however, she saw an opportunity joining the Dirty Snakes. She could still get her revenge and the freedom she wanted.

"But know," she said glaring as hard as she could at Derry. She would point her finger at his face, making sure to lock eyes with the man. "I won't forgive you for this. You can 'try' to control me but you will never get any respect from me. Do I make myself clear?" 

Really, she had no other option but to stick with Derry in the first place. Shit, this hurt more than the wounds that she received from their little skirmish right now. Unlike what he said, the grudge Kon now gain wouldn't be going away any much sooner. She cared considerably more about her pride than she did about the fact that she had her freedom now. Sure, she didn't have to worry about going back to jail for a bit, but, is it really all sunshine and rainbows for now? There were still quite a few of unanswered questions she had before she were to go forward.

"You don't magically just pardon a criminal just because she joins some shady organization," Kon said dryly. "How the hell am I going to be able to go around despite there still being a warrant underneath my name?" This was what she was concerned with the most, seeing how she would much prefer to go around outside without fearing her livelihood at every spare second. While she knew that chances were Derry couldn't work miracles, at the very least she wanted some assurance that she didn't have to worry about this for now.

"I'll go with you, but you also got to give me some clothes." Kon glanced down on her body, looking at the rags which were just barely hanging together after the fight they had. "There is no way in hell I'm going out looking like these." As much as she hated taking favors from the guy who just basically blackmailed her into this situation, this was really the only choice she had at the moment.

Even if that still didn't fully ease her nerves, seeing how she still didn't trust Derry much at all, she knew at this point that he wanted her to join the group and by sending her back to jail it would more or less be a detriment for his plan. That sleezy asshole. At the very least the only good thing that had come out of today was the fact that Kon would most likely be able to rest easy for the first time since all of this started. She was safe knowing that as long as she was underneath the care of Derry she wouldn't be sent back to jail. Of course, she refused to forgot what just happened, but for now there were other matters that demanded higher priority than all of this.

Silently she would trial behind Derry, looking back at the warehouse she had just came out of. A wave of anger once again washed over her as she regarded the building where was just trapped in. If it weren't for the fact that they were just leaving she probably would have tried to reduce the place to rubble with how frustrated and annoyed she currently was. Nonetheless, this was the life that she had chosen for herself now. All she could do now was wait for the opportunity to get revenge to fall upon her once more.
