Amara still didn't have the best grasp on what made shadow magic tick through all her knowledge. She had read Erebos' gifted book cover to cover several times over and had practiced enough back in Heaven to get a GRASP on it, but it felt incomplete. The actual difference and feeling between old and new shadows were, generally, lost on her. Here? The cave of darkness where perpetual an unerring shade was formed since Earth's emergence... here, even a novice shadowmancer such as her could feel the difference. The place was perfect! Not only for the super cool aesthetics (which were a charming edition) but ALSO because it'd make the eventual insertion of Erebos' shadow crystal all the more potent.
She'd already gathered the necessary components from less than savory sources in the Devil's Hideaway (with Derry and Ise interrupting that particular shopping trip). All that was left to do was finish grafting it together, infusing it with enchantments, and then double-imbuing it with shadow magic. Oh, and the gems. She was a LITTLE miffed at him thanks to the whole 'trying to murder the president in his own capital' thing after she passed out, but it wasn't like that type of behavior was entirely unexpected for a Demon lad like him. So here she was, deep within the twisting paths of an ancient magic cavern with a whole slew of hardlight constructs working on assembling a pair of gauntlets carefully.
They were made from dark dyed lurker leather, interwoven with devil braids, and plated with double-casted shadowsteel. Even BEFORE any magic enhancements, these things could take one hell of a beating and live to tell the tale. Amara wanted to wait for the man himself to show before doing any extra cool stuff, though, as that was part of the fun. While she had been unable to see him face-to-face after the Central City battle, Planetary Telepathy was an ability that was both conveniently and amusingly annoying to use on him. For now, Amara would crash in a summoned blue bean bag, slipping her sweatshirt top off to leave the bodysuit beneath with a content sigh. Could be a while... maybe she should go and conjure a TV?
