Stakes: The moon will be partially destroyed if no one comes in to stop her

Honestly, Kon didn’t really care about this mission much. Although it was a daunting task, especially when she had to destroy a freaking celestial body given specifically by Derry, it wasn't as if she had much of a choice. As much as she hated to say it, she really did owe him one, and considering she had no love for the planet itself or care for the consequences that would come with blowing up the moon it was easier to just follow and not ask. She had a vague idea why seeing as she was far from the only Saiyan on the planet and that tail of hers made her a liability. It was far easier for her to attempt to blow up the moon rather than having to chop off a tail, something she thought was unfathomable.

Unfortunately, she had no help, no backup, nothing. This really better be worth it if she were successful, especially when she was once again risking her hard-earned freedom. Still, taking this mission to risk the ire of the citizens of Earth was still far more preferable than cutting off her own tail. For now, though, Kon had made her way to the west to further distance herself from Central City so that she could not be tied to Derry. In fact, she would even don her Dai outfit, with the mask, jacket, and all in order to further obscure her identity. Plus, she needed the scouter to see how strong her future opponents would be anyways, knowing full well that this was going to attract attention no matter how careful Derry had told her to be. He honestly would have to just suck it if he seriously thought she would be able to do any of this discreetly.

The Snakes had chosen for her to head to Mount Five Elements, seeing as it had the strangest occurrences, making it easier to do it without attracting much attention. It would be difficult nonetheless blowing up such a moon seeing how far it was from the Earth. Even as Kon arrived here in the middle of the night, a few days after the full moon so that she could maximize her space and visibility without turning into a giant ape, creating a blast to break the damn thing was difficult. She had fired off a few green ki blasts, hoping that she could destroy it all in one go, although it seemed impossible. She needed far more time in order to even create a dent in that thing.

For now, though, Kon stood there silently, charging up attack after attack before releasing it to the moon. Although she had managed to be quiet, her attacks could definitely be seen streaking up into the air as she slowly whittled down the moon, trying to destroy as much of it as she possibly could. While she had doubts she would be able to destroy it all, maybe around three-fourths of it should suffice, right?

The Moon. Luna. For as long as the Earth had been circling around the sun of this solar system, it had been waltzing with a smaller celestial body. Early civilizations had worshipped the satellite as a deity. The brightest scientists to this day can still only hypothesize what mysteries the Moon holds. How was it born? When was it created? While not a scientist, the Earthborn Saiyan did know one thing as fact; the Moon, as any moon on any world, was the key that unlocked a Saiyan's power.

Since Namek, Kombu purposefully avoided the light of a full moon whenever possible. He had determined how many days would have to pass for each time the body hanging in the sky would change her face. He calculated that each phase of the Moon lasted three days. However, it was just last night when Kombu had decided to undergo the dreaded transformation which the Saiyans contained.

The Saiyan of Earth knew that he needed to gain control over the beast. If in the event where he had no choice but to transform, the last thing Kombu wished to happen was the unnecessary loss of life in the local populace, be it person or animal. And what was a more perfect locale than Mount Five Element? It was quite remote and expansive. So color Kombu surprised when he felt a power signature that was at roughly his own base power.

The Earthborn Saiyan wasn't all too sure what to make of ki attacks being launched skyward with the Moon as their target. It was only natural for him to seek out whoever was responsible so he may investigate the matter further. Judging from his Ki Sense, the perpetrator was now charging up a more potent technique.

He finally found a lone woman in a field. The curtain of moonlight revealed exactly what he expected. Seeing Kon aiming for the sky, Kombu could only step in and stop the madness.

"Hey!" he called, hoping to plead some reason into her mind. "What are you doing? Don't you realize attakng the Moon like that could destroy it?!" Kombu did not wish to outright accuse Kon of anything. He still had a sliver of hope that he was wrong.

An unfettered, bloodthirsty hatred filled the air on that dreadful night.

For the past months, Earth had enjoyed it's peace and quiet; The blood-starved beast that prowled it's fields having retreated toward the war-torn lands of Planet Plant.

Yet tonight...Tonight, the Earth shivered in terror once more.

Virus had returned, hungrier than ever before.

The quiet fields of the Western Wilds trembled and quaked as Virus flew above them, eyes as red as blood and an aura as dark as night. It was his origin. It was, for Virus, home.

And there was no place like home to seek the carnage he so desired.

Faced with the sad disgrace that was the battle for Hatchi City, and the loss of the Arcosian Emperor, Virus had grown desperate. Enraged. Hungry. The being he so fervently wished to clash fists with had been snatched away from him under his nose. Anguish. Agony. Lost purpose.

His claws had grown restless since that fateful day. They ached to dig themselves into skin and flesh and bone. Tearing and ripping and scraping and breaking anything they'd come across. He wanted to feel the blood of his victims run down his hands and mouth, to feel their insides turn to mush between his teeth, to hear their screams echo out into the night.

He craved violence. And he would not let himself be stopped again.

There was a streak filling the sky; A scorching wave of energy that blanketed the night in it's light, if only briefly. Virus looked up, eyes widening in dark curiosity. There were more lights, more remnants of energy that Virus could feel emanate toward him. It was powerful. It was enough...

With a shrill scream and a thunderous explosion, Virus tore through the skies toward his prey. Trees set themselves ablaze under the might of his energy trail as the Bio-Weapon darted past the darkened sky, a comet of terrible omens.

Boom.

Virus touched down onto the mountainside with a fierce and violent quake, shrouded in the dust and gravel his Ki tore from the Earth. Piercing red eyes shone through the obscuring dirt, filled with a terrible bloodlust.

The Beast chittered and clicked, Kon's mighty presense now fully settling into Virus' senses. He breathed raggedly, noticing something about her energy that seemed...Familiar. She was small. Slim. Tender.

"͟L̵i͜ttl̴e̸ ͡girl͢..̷.͡Li͝t͠t͜l̨e g͠i̧rĺ..̡.̶!͏!̧!͘"

His voice was a deformed, depraved version of what it once was. All manner of composure and maturity had fled the creature, replaced with the deepest parts of it's primal nature.

Virus' ragged breathing filled the air as the dust settled, revealing him in full. Standing at his full, monstrous height, the Bio-Weapon's wings unfurled from it's back and flexed outward with a powerful beat.

A hungry groan echoed outward.

Tonight would end in blood.

Virus enters.

He would whistle as he casual laid on his side and had his left elbow against the ground and his left hand to his cheek.

"My oh my look at that, it's Kombu. You shouldn't intervene in the desires of what that child wants to do. Let her do as she pleases. She is grown after all."

He would smirk as he grabbed a new flower and started plucking at it.

"You are mad at that girl wanting to destroy the moon but here I am plucking away at this flower. Both are evil acts. Why not put a stop to me huh?"

Then, a creep had showed up, an ugly looking thing that he had never seen before.

"I have never seen your kind before? What are you anyway?"

He was speaking towards Virus and still couldn't figure out what race he was considering that Kowlin has met the majority of everyone from every walk of life since they had passed...

Travelling up through the winding pathways of a mountain wasn't how Tarine anticipated spending the night. He wasn't sure how Portobello even talked him into such a venture but here he was, shivering in the night air (Or maybe lack of it? There was a bad feeling in his gut that only grew the closer he got to the summit.), taking in the sights- rocks... his favourite.

...At least she was nice enough to hand him one of those "Senzu Beans" before he left, apparently there was some science he didn't understand that gave them amazing energy restoring properties. He sure hoped so because as Portobello was sure to remind him the price was nothing to sniff at.

Eventually his persistence would take him close to the summit, if anyone wasn't preoccupied with much more pressing matters they would've noticed a pathetically small (in comparison) blip of energy as it approached long before the owner pulled themselves other the ledge separating them from the rest of the group.

Tarine was surprised to find people up here, this wasn't exactly the ideal time to go mountain climbing. Not immediately sensing the imminent danger he rather casually strolled up behind the Saiyan man.

"Oh, uh he-" Midway through his introduction Tarine caught on to the ramblings of that strange suited blue man spralled on the ground, he was taken aback slightly before staring at him strangely. "... destroy the Moon?"

What on Earth had he just walked into? He stepped back and gave the Saiyan and the masked person a similarly weird look, actually getting a read on them told him they were all leauges above him. Then he caught a glimpse of something in the air above, several lights surging towards the Moon...

Suddenly Tarine's eyes widened as he realised what was actually happening. Rather alarmed at the prospect he glanced between the suit-wearing man and the masked girl, waving his hands to try and emphasise the point he was about to blurt out.

"Wait, you're not actually serious right? That would be like really bad for the planet, you could-"

And then it arrived. Tarine froze, even obscured by a cloud of dust he recognised the shape immediately, that patchwork of ki that was now far, far stronger than what he experienced before. Maybe his encounter with Virus was brief but the impact it had made on him was still there. He could've done without ever seeing that beast again.

Despite his brief attempts at bravado the in the previous encounter, seeing this creature again, it was his blood turned to ice. He felt paralysed, staring at the creature in sheer terror.

Through shallow breaths Tarine was able to mutter something only Kombu should've been close enough to hear.

"We- we need to leave."

Ugh, she knew it would be impossible to be discreet about this. If Derry wanted this done discreetly, then he should have dragged his own ass here to help her instead! Whatever, she had already started this. May as well commit. As long as she could get this done without getting her tailed ripped off, it was a win in her book at this time. The first person to arrive to the scene was actually a fellow saiyan like her, expressing confusion as to why she was attempting to destroy the moon. Immediately, her guard came up and behind the mask she wore, Kon made a face, not that anyone could have seen it. The mask immediately picked up his power level, a decent 20,000 PL. Fortunately she didn't have to worry too much, especially when hers was around the 64,000 range. If he were to do anything, she could easily silence him.

Despite his demands, Kon said nothing, simply staring at him for a few moments before the mask went crazy once more. A sizable 65,400 PL was steadily approaching them. Great more company. Who would it be this time? Seeing as she was ready to take a break from demolishing the moon, Kon braced herself for a fight, only to freeze when she heard a familiar voice. Wait, who was this? It wasn't long before her questioned was answered as a familiar insectoid figure entered her view. She couldn't move, paralyzed with fear as the familiar cockroach entered her vision. He was considerably more powerful than the last time she had seen him, and all of her senses was warning her that he was a danger.

The fear had taken over her body, to the point where she didn't even notice her mask flitting once more as more individuals slowly came to the mountain. Vaguely, she could hear someone shouting his support for her, although Kon was unaware as to who this was. Maybe back up from the Dirty Snakes after Derry finally got a brain, realizing how dangerous it was for her to do this by herself? Whatever, she had nothing to say to him and if he wasn't planning on getting in her way, then he was safe for now. The final individual, a rather weak looking person tried to plea with her, urging her not to destroy the moon. However, she couldn't go back. This was her mission and if it meant to save her tail (also a large payment but the former was more important) then she planned to follow through to the end. If this didn't earn her trust back with the Snakes, then she had no idea what would.

With all these people here on the field, Kon continued to stand her ground. So many people after her. Heh, it almost reminded her of her old days as a fugitive, not that she was nostalgia for them either. With a click of a button, the mask latched on to everyone here, aside from the weak person surprisingly. Without a word, she pointed at Kowlin before gesturing towards the rest of the two, not daring to speak even a word in case the mutant cockroach could understand her. With her other hand though, she began to charge ki through her entire arm, readying herself for the fight that was yet to come. Those that could sense ki could possibly feel the fact that she had touched on it, a warning as to what she planned to do if they decided to stay.

Combat ready to start! Kon starts with using Look-Before-You-React! Holding it in with Stasis for now.

Kombu could be much too trusting at times. He was a person who learned not to pass immediate judgment on anyone. Especially when one did not possess all of the facts. Kombu had prayed that this masked figure would not attempt what he had feared. Alas, there was a familiar face that had seemingly shown up out of thin air. Who else but Kowlin would come and attempt to interfere with Kombu's heroics? Seeing him here was not the most ideal scenario which the Saiyan could hope for. If anything, he had wished the encounter on the Lookout would have been their last. Yet here he was, picking a flower of its petals, almost mocking the man and his ideals of good versus evil. Prodding at him to choose between two "sins"; picking a flower, or destroying the Moon. Kombu's temper began to rise.

"Are you kidding me right now? Are you serious?" Kombu snapped at the well-dressed Shinjin with ice in his words. "Picking a flower isn't evil, Kowlin. Plants don't have souls. If destroying plants was a bad act, then every being who ate them for food would be wicked. It's not wise to mock me, Kowlin!"

But lo, Kowlin confirmed the Saiyan's suspicions. Of course it was obvious what the masked figure was doing. Why else would anyone in their right mind target the moon with their Martial Arts if not to damage it or obliterate the natural satellite that granted light to those who dwelled in the darkness? Kombu knew just what might happen if such an act were to go unimpeded. The very planet itself could undergo catastrophic changes. Major floods, erratic weather changes, perhaps even a sudden shift in the Earth's axis. Kombu was no scientist by any right, but he was well-educated as someone who found a balance between studies and physical training leading up to his adult life.

And now two more powers would arrive. One literally crashing into the ground nearby as he kicked up dust and debris; a curtain that would soon after fall and reveal a monstrous cockroach-like being who just seemed to have an eerie, menacing presence to him. Insect-like chittering came from his vocal cords. And then, words that instilled fear as they left the creature's mouth.

The Saiyan was now chomping at the bit to start attacking someone and save the Moon. He had to play this safe right now. One wrong decision and the moon could cease to exist. But with a monster here that appeared to be dripping with anger and a lust for bloodshed, who would Kombu's enemy be?

Kombu now had to worry about someone being far less powerful than all of the heavy hitters who now stood locked in a Standoff. The Saiyan was happy that at least somebody agreed that attacking the Moon was a bad idea. He looked to Kowlin with pleading eyes. It was time to drop his facade and let his full power come to the surface.

"Kowlin, please," Kombu begged, "don't do this. I know there's good in you. You had the chance to end my life after I spared you, and you didn't. I can't say I know what you've been through. I can't say I have seen the evils that have driven you down the path you walk. But I beg of you. Help us stop this. Help us save the Earth. Help us save countless lives. Or if not, then I ask you to keep out of this. I don't want to fight you. I want to believe I was right in letting you live after you told me to finish you off."

Then he looked to the masked woman as she prepared a possible attack for later. "I don't know who you are, I don't know why you're doing this. But I ask of you, think of the ways this could affect the planet. Deviating hurricanes, massive floods, tsunamis...Untold potential destruction. Talk to us. Tell us what's wrong. Please don't force my hand."

Now Kombu's eyes fell to the bug beast. Something felt off about him. He appeared to be targeting Kon. On one hand, the Saiyan could team up with the beast to take down the mystery woman. On the other, he could assist in disposing of the more immediate threat.

Virus' ears buzzed with static.

It was loud and incessant; Ever-encompassing. To the Bio-Weapon, it was almost as if the demented state he was in had left him on a single plane, surrounded in an endless void of black. His surroundings crackled and popped and hissed with that same incessant static, pounding away at his very senses.

However, there was one thing within that plane that gave Virus focus. A path of shining clarity, colored with the deepest of reds. It lead to a single point; The only thing Virus saw in that moment. Her.

Even though many powerful figures had intruded upon Virus' hunt, they didn't seem to exist to Virus in that moment. Their incessant chattering merely served to intensify the loud, berating static within his perception. It caused his head to pound rapidly. It enraged him.

They would not have her. She was his kill, and his alone.

The longer Virus stood before her, the more his limbs began to shake and his breathing began to tremble. It wouldn't take long before something snapped within the deepest pits of Virus' psyche.

Perhaps it was the girl's Ki, which had alarmed Virus. Perhaps it was the frustration at the others for intruding his hunt. Perhaps it was simply because Virus couldn't take it anymore...

Ki began to leak out of the Biodroid like a faulty pipe. Trembling claws jittered their way toward the Bio-Weapon's face, scratching and scraping at his exoskeleton without control. Virus grunted, wailed and hissed in unending, primal fury as his power began to amplify unconsciously, before rocketing forth in a destructive aura.

Virus let out a primal, blood-curdling roar that sounded outright demonic in nature, saliva flinging itself from it's maw as his scream echoed out across the entire mountain. It's very core shivered in terror; The flora and fauna stood still with fear.

He leapt toward the masked girl with boundless aggression; What was once pride and arrogance in a mastery of combat, had devolved into mindless, primal rage. A shell of the fighter he was before losing himself to his hunger. Yet still so, so dangerous.

With a beastly wail, Virus' claws swept toward the girl with killer intent, aimed to carve her chest open and spray these very grounds with her blood.

Consumed by his hunger and rage, Virus sub-consciously powers up into Ravenous Frenzy (x3) His new PL is: 196,200

Kowlin could feel the tension in the air as he let out a casual yawn.

"Remove all of the plants and trees on this planet and you would have no oxygen to breath. You have strength boy, but you could never grasp to use that strength to do whatever you want with it."

Then this creature looking thing... wasn't sure what it was, had decided to try to attack the girl. Kowlin had let out a casual smirk

"Do not harm the girl. Allow her to do as she pleases!"

Kowlin would appear in front of Virus' attack and as the attack was coming straight for him instead of Kon. Kowlin would attempt to grab a hold of Virus' wrist and poof up a Dandylion in his other hand as he casually blew at it and the dandylion started to spread out and around Virus' face before attempting to explode violently. After the smoke would come.... and Virus could be seen, Kowlin would appear before Virus again....

"I am assuming that their was a time you were good before huh creature person?"

A black aura would appear on Kowlin's hand attempting to separate the good Virus and the evil virus if there was such a thing inside of Virus... was there good in Virus.....

Tarine would've liked to have been able to keep his cool a little better than he was currently but just being in the presence of Virus again was enough to send him into a borderline panic attack. Besides the shivering, either from the cold night air or paralysing fear Virus had imparted, there was a jump in Tarine's energy, if not picked up on a scouter or through other means then at least through the orange wisps of ki that rose off of him for a moment before vanishing into the air would give it away. Sure, with the power of the people he was surrounded by "transforming" wouldn't save him but there was comfort in knowing he had at least one thing under his control.

Why did this have to happen now? He'd not heard anything about this monster for months- but the moment he comes back to this region it comes crashing into his life again... Was it hunting him down specifically? Did it want him dead? To toy with him a bit before throwing him off a cliff? It... it wasn't even looking at him.

That revelation did little to calm his nerves, but knowing he wasn't the target of its killing intent did allow him to pull his eyes away for a moment. Even if he did kind of feel bad for the... girl? Who was the recipient of its ire despite her apparent irrational hatred of celestial bodies.

Speaking of her, the masked girl didn't seem willing to talk this out, maybe not entirely unreasonable with the insect over there, but that didn't exactly help him... But was there ever a way he could get her to see reason? How did anyone jump to wanting to blow up the moon in the first place?

She might have been a dead end for now, but the Saiyan man who he guessed was technically on his side appeared to be acquainted with the blue-skinned one judging by the emotion he was putting into that speech. He didn't understand what they were getting out of supporting the girl's goal but maybe they could successfully appeal to his better nature? It could at least switch this 1v2v1.1 into a 1v1v2.1?

Fortunately Tarine was already quite close to where Kombu stood (otherwise his only option would've been to hide behind a rock until things blew over) making it fairly easy to scurry over in his direction. (Behind him of course, not saying Tarine was scared but... well he wasn't in a hurry to put himself directly in the line of fire.)

Then his eyes were similarly on the Shinjin, when he addressed Kowlin it wouldn't have been a stretch to say Tarine looked desperate.

"...Strength? Why would having strength make she wants okay?" He didn't know if that was what the guy meant but the prospect sounded insulting, the offence bled into Tarine's voice, a strong start to a discussion. Then he gestured towards Kombu, "Listen to this guy- who knows what blowing up the moon would do to the planet? Are either of you thinking about the consequences for the billions of people out there? Do you just plan on dipping out if the planet becomes uninhabitable?"

But no amount of begging or reasoning appeared to change their mind, the blue-skinned man would charge into battle with the bug in defence of the girl's flawed plan, Tarine just silently took the in the situation.

…Of course that was going to happen, why would people listen to him? Why wouldn't they see reason?

Despite that feeling of hollowness over his apparent failure, there was still the overwhelming sense of dread that was Virus and the duo advocating for the Moon's imminent destruction. Now, if Kombu didn't immediately jump in to battle, Tarine would hopefully have the chance to grab his attention.

Tarine would scratch his head in thought before looking at Kombu and speaking up.
"Shit, okay- uh, you, I'm guessing you're the only other person here who isn't okay with this? Uh, do you happen to have the number of someone else who could help us out?"

It was difficult to keep her composure when a massive fuck-off cockroach continually tried to call for her blood. There were many moments when Kon wanted to shout, scream or even run away, but she had to mask herself with simple indifference, one of the few reasons she was graceful for having this mask. With this, she could maintain a calm indifference, as if none of this bothered her, allowing her face to twist into fear whilst her body trembled, perhaps giving it out of rage more than anything. By now, she was growing irritated by the lectures that both the saiyan and the average human as they rattled on about all the detriments that could happen to Earth. In all honesty, she didn't care. If that happened, it was their problem to deal with. So long as she and the ones she cared for were safe, big deal.

They still weren't the primary people she focused on. No, the mutant cockroach seemed to have zeroed in on her, making her his prime target. All she could now focus on was the cockroach, the incessant chatter droning out as her mind focused on the singular most dangerous threat in front of her, awaiting his next move so that she could respond as quickly as she possibly could. It was fortunate she did, seeing as his power suddenly began to rise. The mask picked it up immediately, as the numbers began to soar. The previously impressive 65,400 skyrocketed into an almost unfathomable 196,200, far out of her own strength. As he leapt towards her, Kon could have sworn she had seen the life flash before her eyes, raising the ki infused arm as a means of last defense despite the fact that she knew that it would not even dent the beast.

Fortunately though, for the first time she wasn't alone. The strange person that came to help her, definitely seemed to understand what she was trying to articulate earlier, coming in between the two at the last minute to save her. Kon didn't exactly see what he did, seeing as she had her eyes covered and was ready to send an attack to hope for the best, but whatever it was, he had saved her. Still unwilling to speak though, she simply gave him a nod, tapping the smile upon her mask as if it was an unspoken way to thank him. With the person taking on Virus, Kon allowed her focus to shift upon the other two that were present in the scene.

What she had been unaware of was the fact that she had also unconsciously began to power up, perhaps her body's natural means of protecting herself when facing a threat to her life. Nonetheless, she embraced the power. Although the strength in her arm was nothing more than a fizz now, it was still something that she could use to threaten and to defend herself with if absolutely necessary. With her mask, she had finally picked up on the weak looking individual, a measly 3,500. Even with her weak attack could easily take him out, and she was already irritated by his dumb science talk that she never cared for. With ki crackling down her arm, Kon pointed it at the human as the energy finally gathered upon her palm. There was a feeling within her that someone would take her attack, seeing as they always did, but it didn't matter. If someone got hurt, it was their fault and their choice entirely. She couldn't care any less. Without any more hesitation, the ball of green ki shot forward, soaring towards the weakling hoping to take him out in one blow.

Kon transforms using Wrathful (x5), bringing her PL up to 320,000 uses Look-Before-You-React from the previous post at her original PL 19,200. Intent is to wound.

Kombu had poured all of his hopes into this event coming to a peaceful close. Whoever the masked woman was, surely the pleas for mercy and understanding would have reached her. However, he could not keep his annoyance from evolving further with Kowlin's presence and his ostensibly jaded view of good and evil. Kombu's ears became deaf to his prattling about plants. He was beginning to believe that Fend was right. There was no such thing as a good God Complex. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The innate powers within everyone began to erupt forth like dormant volcanoes. First, the bug creature who ripped and tore at his own face to reveal something more hideous beneath the surface. Its metamorphosis could instill dread into the faint-hearted. Kombu, however, was a warrior. The beast did not scare him, as he held a beast of his own deep down and hidden from the world. One whose primal desires to destroy threatened to seep into the Saiyan's psyche.

Kombu would first go to move and intercept Virus from harming the mystery woman. Suddenly Kowlin's power skyrocketed before he took on the task himself. Blowing flower petals into the insectoid's face caught the Saiyan off guard. He'd never seen an attack like that before. Maybe now he could still have the opportunity to talk Kon down. He eyed the Tuffle-like being who sought to make use of Kombu as shelter. Something that he didn't mind. If anything, the Saiyan had empathy aplenty for Tarine. Kombu remembered being in his shoes before. With the waning Gibbous in the sky still piercing the darkness and providing a cool light with soft blue hues, the Saiyan recognized some of the boy's genetic features.

"Better to just ignore that Shinjin, honestly," he sighed with a frown. The Saiyan's tail twitched in vexation. "He's supposedly a few thousand years old, and he does as he pleases. He's known to kill people in some twisted form of justice. Wants to eradicate all mortals. I've tried reasoning with him. But, unfortunately, he's chosen his path. There's no use attempting to save him or reason with him."

Then, Kombu felt it. His internal senses triggered an alarm. The masked woman! He watched in horror as she set her sights on the human-like Tuffle behind him! "No...She wouldn't."

Oh, but she would. The attack she had prepared before was about to launch. With its power, it would surely hurt Tarine with great severity. That was the last straw for Kombu. If there was one thing he hated, it was the strong subjugating the weak. As that energy crackled and collected in the woman's palm, Kombu could feel the very chains around his anger shattering.

"How dare you..."

Coal eyes became a firey gold with black irises. A lining of cerulean aura cloaked the Saiyan's body as his wrath had now become unleashed.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!!"

The very ground cracked and shattered from Kombu's roar of intense outrage. Cerulean ki flared from his body. His muscles gained some bulk, and the canines in his mouth sharpened to resemble that of an ape's. His face became wrinkled in a snarl.

"MIRROR SHIELD!"

And right as Kon's attack had come for him, who stood in the way of its target, it abruptly exploded before it could collide with the furious Saiyan!

The smoke soon cleared to reveal a teal barrier of sorts—a barrier made of magic that had utterly absorbed the masked woman's attack. It shimmered brilliantly. This technique was quite similar to one he learned so long ago from his first true Martial Arts teacher. Kombu's right palm held the barrier in place. Soon, the energy shivered and then formed into a ki ball of his own. The man then brought the energy ball as if winding up a pitch from the side. Kombu then lunged his hand forth with a guttural rage-filled roar to unleash his attack back at the woman! The beachball-sized ki ball dashed over the ground as it aimed to slam into Kon's face!

Someone intruded Virus' plane. He phased through the static, and it was only when the Biodroid felt his wrist being clutched with a vice grip that the static gained form.

A nasty figure stood before him, brimming with some strange otherworldly Ki that was in stark contrast to his own. Virus let out a nasty, demonic chitter as he tried to wrestle himself free, yet to no avail. Absurd! Where did he come from?! Why was he interrupting Virus' hunt?!

"̨G͘͟͡H̢͜͞R̢OĄ̵̧A͢A͏̀A̵A̷͡Ą͜͡AA̴͘͝A͏A͢À̡͟A̡!͘͝!-"

Virus roared wildly, his gaping maw showing rows upon rows of razor-sharp teeth that glistened in the light of his own volatile Ki. A simple primal instinct to ward off potential predators wishing to steal his hunt - Yet it was again, to no avail.

In the mere seconds before the strange man could attack Virus, the Bio-Weapon's deepest instincts kicked in, flooding the creature with even more strength. Ki began to seep into the Biodroid's very brain, unlocking sensory abilities that far outshone any mortal creature's.

It's carapace hardened instinctively, tightening as it soaked in the seemingly endless flurry of explosions that crackled around him. From the resulting smoke, Virus' head emerged, fueled with even more blind fury.

Virus was inches away from attacking Kowlin, when something strange happened. Something that caused the Bio-Weapon to freeze like a statue. An attempt was made to separate the good from the wicked within Virus' very soul - To extract that which caused the beast to be so 'evil'.

...But there was nothing to extract. Virus' being wasn't evil nor good; He was a creation. A wicked one, yes...Yet morality was a strange and foreign construct. And while the Bio-Weapon wasn't privvy to violence nor murder, it was simply the beast's nature...Just as it was in any other animal's.

"Who the hell are you...?!"

What instead surfaced was rationality. The strange magicks of Kowlin had somehow suppressed the blind, animalistic side of Virus, allowing the 'Weapon' to take control once again.

"Bah!" Virus let out in disgust, aiming to swat away Kowlin's hand in a refusal to thank him for forcing him to his senses. A claw shot up to clutch Virus' head, which throbbed in a dizzying pain. That hunger for combat - That thirst for blood...It still remained.

"...Where were we?"

Virus' head slowly panned around, eyeing the masked girl that he had chosen as his target. A smile slowly crept onto the beast's features, eager to continue their battle in full now that he had regained his composure.

...Instead, it seemed someone had appeared that truly intended to mess with Virus' hunt. A scream of rage alerted Virus, who's head snapped toward the side to see a Saiyan defending some low-life citizen.

Virus' eyes widened in rage, seeing the attack being sent back toward the masked girl. Images of the battle for Hatchi City flooded his mind; How his chance to Azoth had been stolen from him...How his prey had been swiped away before his very eyes...!

"SHE IS MINE!!"

Virus screamed in boundless fury, blitzing from his current position to hurt the Saiyan where it truly mattered; His psyche. A claw aimed to snatch Tarine from the ground and lift him by his collar. Blood-red eyes snapped towards the Saiyan.

"Say goodbye to your little friend!"

-STAB-

A Ki-covered claw aimed to bore straight through the civilian, flexing satisfyingly from the other side as it dripped with blood. Had Virus' lethal attack gone through, he'd tear his claw loose, allowing Tarine to drop lifelessly to the ground.

"...Girl, with the mask." Virus called out to her, tone deadly serious and cold as ice. "You are not leaving without battling me. You may destroy what you like in the meantime - It is no matter to me."

This folly regarding the moon...The safety of this entire lousy planet; It really did not matter in the slightest to Virus. All he wanted was to clash fists with someone he deemed worthy. All he wanted was to sate this maddening hunger.

Virus' claw gripped into a tight, trembling fist, wings slowly unfurling from the Bio-Weapon's back. A dark, putrid aura began to ooze out of Virus as his eyes fell onto Kombu. Hungry. Vile. Destructive.

"He shall go first...!"

Virus instinctively powers up into Evolving Intellect (x6), for a new PL of 392,400 and defends against Kowlin's attack using [Light]Hardened Carapace for 78,480. 184680 Bleedthrough -30% = 129,275 damage taken! (33%)

Kowlin's Divine Split forces Virus to (somewhat) come to his senses...

...He attacks Tarine with a [Light]Rending Claw for 78,480 Damage. Intent to Wound.

Kowlin kept his hand to his chin. Seems like the attacking party wanted to get rid of the weakest link on the board which was Tarine. He has casually rubbed his chin as he watched Kombu coming to defend against the boy. But then Virus had I guess come to his senses and decided to also attack the boy as well.

Kowlin had lightly shrug his shoulders as he started to form a small dark matter blast in his right hand.

“It only makes sense that I help the villains after all.”

He would vanish from his position and appear 10ft behind from Kombu as he aimed his dark matter blast at Kombu and fired! The blast going straight to his back and attempting to destroy his clothes in the process and hopefully leaving a permanent scar on his back.

“Hero’s come and go boy. Perhaps you would have better luck next time.”

After he sent his attack at Kombu, he floated near Kon and smiled at her mask.

“Go on my dear. Go destroy that moon. Allow the evil to flow through you.”

He’d smirk as he thought of a devious plan.

“Allow me to assist you. I am a shinjin after all.”

A black aura had formed on his hand and just like with Virus, he tried to separate the good from her body. Hopefully he had more lucky from her than he did with Virus.

Hearing what Kombu had to say about the Shinjin, Tarine's face turned to a look of disgust. He didn't have a reason to trust a stranger on someone's supposed genocidal tendencies but seeing the man's actions so far there seemed to point to there being some truth to the matter. It wasn't helping how he felt about an already hopeless situation, somehow it was just him and this Saiyan against a group of unrepentant psychopaths.

His mind was brought back to that object Portobello gave him, she'd said if something went wrong one of these things could bring people back from the brink of death, he thought she was exaggerating but just maybe...

Tarine's hand went into his pocket, he clutched onto a small object. Then he paused, eying Kombu up sceptically. Did he want to do this?

Maybe in any other situation he might've been less willing to part with his belongings, maybe he wouldn't have even given Kombu second thought just for the crime of having a tail. To be honest, Tarine's experiences with Saiyans recently hadn't been exactly positive, and to him it seemed an unavoidable truth that some of them were more than willing to destroy something he l- needed to exist. But despite only knowing this guy for few minutes he seemed alright, at least he was a far better person than what they were up against. At this point whatever potential grievances or neuroses that could've gotten in his way were trumped by a basic need for survival, if he wanted out then he needed to trust this person.

With his mind made up his expression hardened and he went to tap Kombu's shoulder, his other hand held open to reveal a small, green bean.

"Hey, I think you might need this more than I do. I don't know how it's supposed to work but these things are supposed to heal you up if you swallow one? I don't know if this massively improves our chances but it has to be worth a shot."

Whether the offer was accepted or not, his attention was drawn back to the battlefield, namely the blast heading straight for him! No, no no no, something at that power could kill him! Tarine stumbled back in a panic, flinging his arms up to try and shield himself from the worst of it. Then he closed his eyes and waited...

The attack never came. Hesitantly he lowered his arms and slowly opened an eye, then widened opened them in awe at the sight in front of him- this man, this complete stranger had jumped to his defence without a second thought, a shining blue barrier stood tall in front of them before being condensed into a ki blast and fired back at his assailant. He stared on in disbelief for a moment before he blinked a few times and meekly offered his thanks.

"You... you saved me? Uh- thanks, I know I can't do much to help but-"

Unfortunately that was as far as he got, Tarine's brain hadn't even had the chance to register what happened before he was already hoisted into the air and at the mercy of the beast's razor-sharp talons. Staring down what was essentially the manifestation of death, in sheer terror the only thought that went though his mind was:

The claw effortlessly slid though his chest and out the other side, in too much agony to even string together a coherent thought all that came out of Tarine's mouth was a few strangled attempts at gasping for air. The claw retracted and his body slumped face-first into the dirt. His energy appeared to shrivel away into nothing as blood freely seeped from the gaping hole left behind.
