Within the chaotic town of Limbo, denizens of Hell did what they did best: Live their best afterlife and obey the rules. Well, most did that - seeing as the ogres that watched over the place were apparently EVERYWHERE.
Still, that didn’t stop many from taking the fun in their hands and cause a little mischief here and there. It was this exact mischief that was taking place as a red portal opened up in the middle of the street and a familiar spikey-haired girl would bound out from and skid along the street to a stop a few feet from it. Hair mussed up from the wild ride in her portal, Zerori shook her head before giving a ‘WOO!’ in excitement at the fact that she was able to make it through without falling on her face for once. AND the portal was horizontal this time!
“Hell yeah!” She laughed, dusting herself off of imaginary dirt with blatant pride on her face. The runes didn’t even show up this time, either, which meant that she was at least safe from the effect of ‘Contract Recoil’ while she was back home. Good. This meant she had plenty of time to figure out why the effects were so terrible and why they lasted so long without distraction.
That was the plan until the shout of an Ogre caught her attention just as her portal dissipated, “HEY! You got a candle pass?!” They shouter, not quite recognizing her as the Demon she was. Zerori turned back to him, frowning as if she were going to be serious and explain the situation to him a mature manner-
Before bringing her hand up and pulling her lower eyelid down, “Fuck off you Red Bean Bastard!” And with a wild cackle, Zerori took off in a cloud of smoke down a side street faster than most denizens in Hell could keep up with. When she came to a stop in front of a run-down looking restaurant, Zerori would stop to catch her breath while holding her knees. Between gasps of breath, Zerori laughed, “Just -Huff- Like old…Phew, old times!” She looked around to try and get her bearings back and where she should go to try and find her first clue.
