Frozen stood at the peak of one of Earth's vast mountain-tops, snow fluttering down upon his deep, blue skin as he looked out over the world. Earth was very much unlike the planets he had under his Empire, so barren and underdeveloped... From what his scans showed when he had entered the atmosphere, notable development only manifested in the parts of this planet over-which cities were constructed... How odd. No advanced hypothermic plants at every ocean basin? No mass-scale green-houses across farm-land in order to maximize food-production...? If anything, this world seemed to value its beauty and natural aesthetics over practical and efficient resource management. It was as if he had landed on a tourist attraction for the universe's most odd and diverse species, some he had only ever seen in the back of a context-manual about this area of space... Still, parts like this, where the wind whistled sweet, soft tunes into your ear, where the chill bit gently into your arm and where the snow cushioned your step....
Places like this reminded Frozen of home...
...And that made him mad.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he imagined his brother on the throne, his underhanded tactics completely undoing all the trust and economic mutualism he had developed over the years! He could see it now: Supply-lines, those that connected what few planets he controlled like a web, snapping one by one under the gradually increasing weight of a tyrannical central power-base!
"How dare he..." Frozen muttered, his deep red eyes staring intensely into the distance. "After everything we had accomplished... He took it all."
It all came down to HOW he would punish Chille... Not IF he would. Family and blood-ties were already a concept already one barely introduced to his bloodline beyond mere inheritance rights. One had to BE somebody or DO something meaningful to be treated differently by the Arcosian royalty... Otherwise, you were just a citizen.
...Whatever connection he and his brother had died the instant Frozen was usurped and, with that lost connection, Frozen could only ponder to what degree Chille would suffer for his treachery.
...But none of that would even MATTER if he couldn't get his strength back. Even though Frozen was, naturally, the stronger of the two, the gap was never so huge that Chille, as Frozen was now, wouldn't be able to CRUSH him in his weakened state! He needed power... Power, allies and technology... And while limited in all three, this world just might have all that he needed...
