Ward's frustration was clear, and from what it seemed it was at the situation entirely. There was no doubt Erebos attacking Phakk had set him off, but he was a lit fuse long before he and Phakk set foot on Namek. In hindsight he might have suggested they wait, but it was hard for him to come to grips with his own emotions entirely, let alone fully control them given the past few months.
"It's okay Phakk, I understand the jump in conclusions given the comment out of context. They don't understand why I said it, and it likely sounds nothing more than me taking a jab at Saiyans, when that isn't the case. I've spent the last four months on planet Plant where only a single Saiyan I met didn't try to instigate violence for the smallest to no infractions at all. I've had them turn into giant apes to blast me over misunderstandings they later apologized for. I've had them threaten to kill me for not joining fights, threaten to kill me for not wanting to join a war I wasn't a part of. Punch me in the face in the case of their queen because I couldn't sense their energy and teleported closer than she approved of, so she attacked me on that grounds alone not once, but twice. I left Plant no more than hours ago, when we all met earlier we had came from there, not in a ship, but through a means of instant teleportation. The violence of war fresh in my mind. I'll admit maybe I spoke out of turn, but it wasn't from a place of ignorance and racism I can assure you."
There was a part of him that didn't want to keep going, internally seething at the way they slung insults at him and Phakk, the stubborn way they refused to listen and continue telling them how terrible and wrong they were. Explaining was cathartic, and it was partially ranting, but he needed them to understand all the same.
"Like Phakk said, we understand you are here, you feel like you are protecting your home, but it feels like so many of you jumped in under a specific assumption based on partial information, and I respect that. I don't particularly respect the attacks and threats against my friend. I don't respect justifying said attacks, then pontificating about how terrible we are as if we deserve to be hurt. You don't like the way her magic looks so you judge, and you mock, and you throw insults and accusations, yet you call me a racist, and talk to us as if we are misguided, again without the context."
There was no anger in his voice, more of a sadness and disappointment. The words themselves didn't hurt, but they bothered him all the same because it seemed none of the mortals were willing to listen and had it in their mind these Shinjin were evil and that was the crux of it. Tiamat seemed willing to hear them out, but he wasn't even confident fully in that given how things were going, and it caused him to further droop as he floated there by Phakk, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Perhaps there is a difference in views here that makes this difficult if not impossible for us to fully understand each other. You live here, to you we are some sort of invading forces coming to force our will on people, perhaps enslave people or worse thoughts you might not have even shared. My species created this planet, others populated it with these Namekians, as we Tuffles on Planet Plant, The Earthlings on Earth, and many other species on planets you've never heard of and are likely to never see. We observe, we record, we witness, and there are times that we intervene. Mortals appreciate the status quo, and I understand that more than you know, but that isn't always what's best for your galaxy, or the greater universe. Namek is only one planet, and the Mazoku are only one people belong to a larger species, but both can and do have rippling effects you mortals will never see that are far reaching. I'm still young among my people, but I know as well as any that balance can work itself out, but there are times when it needs a helping hand. You can't always hope a race stops murdering each other, or that they will stop polluting an entire planet, or worshiping something that will lead to their destruction in due time."
He understood much of what he said was likely to fall on deaf ears, but he had to speak up. It was only a matter of time until Erebos attacked again, and he didn't need to see Phakk to feel the situation was getting to her as well. Both Shinjin spoke up, and again the mortals spoke with their harsh words and insults, causing his fists to tighten. It took all his strength to breath calmly and relax once more, looking down to the ground, the land around them, each face staring at them waiting for something to happen.
"Erebos, I believe your name was. I understand your need to justify your violence, but you are not one of these mortals speaking on behalf of their planet. You are speaking in certainties you don't know anything about. When we met you earlier you didn't even know the planet you were on, seeming confused about the area even. You are speaking about a world and its balance you clearly don't understand. You speak of insane when you arrived with partial knowledge and attacked someone then threatened murder. You clearly don't want a peaceful solution here, you just want to insult, threaten, and fight. That's your choice, but it's not what I wish to take part in."
There were so many comments, arguments, conversations happening all at once it was hard to keep up with. So many insults being thrown based on assumptions and it was impossible to comment on them all. Was there even a point to doing so? Again however Nero spoke towards Phakk, and his teeth began to grit, visibly baring them in his direction more so at every line and accusation thrown.
"You've lived a mortal life Nero, and you've no doubt seen your share of problems with these people, but I've lived more than a few of your lifespans and I can promise you haven't seen near enough. This isn't an anomaly, this is an inevitability. I haven't lived a fraction of the time some Shinjin have and I've seen more situations such as this than I care to recall. They are burned into my mind. This isn't just about you and the little ones home, this isn't just about those like this demon, it isn't just about the Mazoku and their practices, your planet, it's not even about me or Phakk. There comes a time when we have to stop simply observing and act for the better of more than just ourselves. It's not about good or evil, they are different sides of the same coin, it's about keeps the balance of the small to the large. You can't see that, and I understand that, even I can't fully fathom it, but it simply is. I'm sorry for the pain and frustration that causes you."
He stopped, he had said far too much already, and there was far too much more to say, but he could feel his frustrations rising again, and he had to calm down. Turning to Phakk, there was a real pain in his eyes that no one else would likely see from where they stood. There was a chance some of them would see reason even through all of the hostilities present, but he knew there was a chance that wasn't possible either, and he wasn't sure how ready Phakk was to face that reality.
"As Phakk has said, we want to help and we want your help, this home belongs to you Pankaa, Nero, Crotona. Help make your home safer, more peaceful. Remove the hardships and pain not just from yourselves, but from the others of your planet. We aren't here to fight you or anyone else, that's not what this is about."
Moving away from Phakk now, his attention turned not to Tiamat who had seemed to agree somewhat before, or to Erebos who had threatened them, but Nero specifically. He floated towards where he and Pankaa were, and stopped in front of them for a long quiet moment before extending a hand to Nero.
"We aren't here to fight. Help us."
