As Apollyus had warned, he wouldn't be around all the time, and the demon had, in fact, taken his leave shortly after their first few ki training sessions concluded. Rez had been sad to see his newfound mentor go, but the boy figured they'd see one another again, and in the meantime, he had taken it on himself to do a little independent training and keep himself busy around Taola Village, which for now he had made his home. The local inkeep had been kind enough to let him have a room provided he did some work for her, which he was more than happy to do since he intended to remain in this area for some time yet. He had a few ideas on where to go to start looking for his past, but in truth he was putting it off for as long as possible. In the meantime, he opted to instead see just what this new body of his could really do.
This was what found him flying through Gizard Wasteland at a breakneck pace, trying to see just how fast he could safely fly while still avoiding the rocky outcroppings that dotted the area. "Woooo hooo!" He whooped as he did a backflip in midair. The lessons with Apollyon had, of course, included flying lessons, and now he had much better control when it came to speed and velocity. Once he had learned how to shield his eyes with his ki while flying, everything else had come pretty naturally. Was he perhaps being a bit too flashy for someone who technically was on the run? Indeed, but after his initial needs were met and the fear that had propelled him abided, he had begun to realize how spectacular his abilities as an android were. He'd also discovered he was a bit of an adrenaline junkie, hence his stunt-flying in the middle of the desert.
He suddenly flew upwards at a ninety-degree angle, going as high as he could before suddenly letting himself drop. He just free-fell for a bit, putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes like he was sleeping. He knew that the odd little HUD behind his eyes would warn him when he got too close to the ground, so for now he decided to play at being a skydiver. Doing this helped him think, in a strange way. The wind rushing by his ears made his own thoughts that much clearer. Right now he was considering his options going forward. As much as he liked Taola, he didn't want to stay there indefinitely. He, simply put, wanted to do something that mattered with his new abilities, he just had no clue where to begin. It was a lot of power, not to mention options, dropped in the hands of a fourteen-year-old who couldn't even remember his real name.
So he just continued to contemplate while falling towards Earth... a rather disconcerting sight if anyone happened to be passing by.
